While all these people on the banquet were scheming against each other, The students all listened to Alanna's briefing on how they'll progress starting from tomorrow on the academy grounds.
She made clear about some of the things students will have to face and the rules they will have to follow while they're inside the academy, If the rules are broken she also mentioned that there will be consequences regarding the wrongdoings they'll make.
Jamie wasn't listening at all during her speech but he was studying all of her body with his eyes narrowed, printing every curve of her body into his mind.
After her speech was over, The banquet commenced with all sorts of delicacies presented to the participants. Jamie shamelessly picked up a few tasty looking ones because he wanted to try new foods he haven't eaten even back in his home.
Meanwhile the students got to know each other , make new friends, enjoying the banquet, while the Dukes didn't do much at all aside from approaching Alanna to greet her when she finished her speech.
Alanna is a powerful women who has somewhat authority to even ignore the Dukes on the continent but unfortunately her personality is being a too much of a nice person.
If not for her magical prowess and the overwhelming aura around her that made others act respectfully toward her, Her identity as the disciple of the Mysterious Headmistress of the academy, Many people would've taken advantage of her kindness.
Jamie's eyes wandered around the hall among the girls who are beautiful enough to rival even the Duchess Valery. Of course he didn't miss the chance to study the Duchess's hot figure as well but he was careful not to stare at her for a long time.
He didn't have much interest on her daughter even though she's strikingly similar to her mother, So Jamie realised that just like he thought his preferences are the older women not younger ones.
'Though I wouldn't mind having some fun with girls here also. I don't think they would say no after some little flirting.' He grinned like a devil with anticipation.
The welcoming ceremony came to an end after a few hours as all the nobles got ready to go back, leaving their children to learn and make themselves stronger hoping to see them more mature the next time they would reunite.
Amanda and Rufus stood before Jamie as Amanda looked at her son, motherly affection filled within her eyes as she gave a tight, warm hug to Jamie making his heart also warmer.
Rufus was silently watching his wife and son with a small smile on his face.
As Amanda backed up Rufus spoke,
"Jamie, I have no doubt that you'll make us proud my son. I know you're a hardworking child, But as I told you before son, Be very careful. This place is not a fully protected place either."
Amanda also joined in,
"You're father is right. Take care of yourself and make some new friends Jamie, You need to make friends if you want to enjoy your time here. You father and I were also friends back then." She glanced at her husband with a playful smile on her face.
Rufus shook his head with a small laugh,
"Yeah, make some new friends. It's better to enjoy while you're here. No need to beat yourself up on working hard all the time." He said to Jamie placing his hand on Jamie's shoulder.
"I already made some friends so don't worry." Jamie winked at his mother with a playful smile.
"You playboy, Don't go around making trouble with girls you understand?" Amanda laughed at his joke and pinched his cheeks lightly.
"Alright, we're gonna go now. Write to us every week, remember." Rufus spoke looking at Jamie.
"Hmm" Jamie nodded as he gave another warm hug to his mother one last time before they left him on his own.
Jamie watched as his parents got on to their carriage and he waved at them until they disappeared from his sight.
He looked around to see many students with excited expressions, looking forward to their life inside the academy and some with reluctant looks on their faces as if missing their homes already.
'I never felt any feelings like this when I first attended school. I didn't have anyone to hold onto in the first place.' Jamie thought as he remembered memories from Earth.
'It's really... a good feeling. My heart is beating faster because I want to go home already, I want to see my room and have breakfast, lunch, dinner with my family like usual.' He felt this strange feeling inside his chest.
'I don't regret dying on Earth and coming here, Even though I just started living my life back there....The life here... feels so precious. I like being Jamie Walker. I'll make sure to live my life to the fullest here.' Jamie thought to himself as he walked toward his dormitory.
Unlike what Jamie expected it to be, the dormitory of the students is not divided into two as boys and girls, But the dormitories are divided based on the year. Four dormitories for the four different grade students.
'Well, luck keeps lurking around me these days... I wonder why?' He thought to himself chuckling inwardly.
As he walked on the way some of the students looked at him weirdly, mostly boys, well everyone of them were boys. Some of their hostility is clear from their faces but no one made a move or said anything bad apart from some mocking stares at him.
Girls also looked at him with their eyes shining, some even blushing already glancing at him.
Jamie sensed all of this with his ability because It's always activated, sensing everything around him.
He grinned lightly as he hoped some of the impatient ones would approach him in the next few days, picking fights with him so he could start his plans.
'I'm waiting, Waiting for all of you to come to me..Willingly' With a devilish smirk on his face, he made his way to the dormitory in a leisurely manner looking around the academy.
