Chapter 65 - Chapter 65: Our Home

"Do as you please," Mu Qingyun looked at the smug Bai Feifei and laughed bitterly with anger. "But since you're threatening me like this, do you really think I will just let you go?"

Her gaze was cold and sharp like a venomous snake, and the chill radiating from it left Bai Feifei stunned and speechless.

"You can try. Let's see whether I kill you first, or you press the elimination button first."

...

[Wow, Mu Ge is Mu Ge! I love these words.]

[Finally, Mu Ge strikes back! Before, he was like a saint, always tolerant of Bai Feifei. Glad to see him fight back now.]

[Come on, a saint? He's threatening a girl like that and still has fans praising him?]

[Exactly, unless he says he's a girl, I can't accept this behavior. Especially considering how rude he was to the princess before.]

[I'm really done. If he didn't fight back, you called him a saint. Now he fights back, and you say he's not gentlemanly? You want it both ways.]

...

"If you want to eat, go catch your own food. We don't owe you anything, and we're not your servants." Mu Qingyun glanced at Bai Feifei impatiently and frowned. "Get lost!"

"You—!"

"What? Still have something to say?" She tilted her head, looking at Bai Feifei with clear impatience.

"Hmph." Bai Feifei looked at her, but in the end could only snort in frustration and turn away, walking outside the cave.

Mu Qingyun showed no reaction at all and, dividing up the roasted meat in her hand, waved at Su, Yi Beixuan, and the others nearby, "Come eat."

"All right."

With Bai Feifei no longer causing trouble, the atmosphere among them noticeably improved. One after another, they took the meat Mu Qingyun handed out and started eating heartily.

Watching them devour the fragrant meat, a faint smile curved on her lips. While they ate, she explained the current situation.

"The house should be finished today. After that, we'll tidy up properly and take out anything usable or viewable from your storage bags.

If virtual points aren't enough, this house will be our home for the next four months."

The moment she mentioned the word "home," their expressions changed noticeably.

No matter how good a house was, it was just a place to stay. A true home meant having people inside who were like family.

Mu Qingyun's words showed she had completely accepted them as family.

"Yi Beixuan, I remember before you came you brought a lot of pretty but useless stuff. Take them all out later." While eating, Su poked Yi Beixuan's arm.

"Ah, me?" Yi Beixuan frowned in confusion but nodded immediately when he caught Su's gaze. "Oh right, my storage bag was packed by my younger sister."

"You have a sister?"

Hearing this, Xiong Ruoyou asked in surprise, though her mouth was full of meat, so she spoke unclearly.

Yi Beixuan precisely understood her and replied, "Not by blood. We're friends. She's younger, so I just call her sister."

"Oh." Xiong Ruoyou suddenly understood and nodded, then took a big bite of meat.

Mu Qingyun watched their happy faces and felt pleased inside. In her previous life, she schemed and planned at every step, witnessing countless betrayals around her.

What she cherished most was her family — the one thing she could never be without.

But this life was even harsher than the last: not only was her life miserable, even her biological parents refused to acknowledge her, preferring a fake princess to be by their side.

"Mu Ge, what's wrong?" Noticing her expression change, Xiong Ruoyou swallowed her meat and asked gently.

"Nothing." She shook her head and took a small bite.

"If you're unhappy about something, you must say it. Even if we can't solve it, we can at least be there to complain with you." Xiong Ruoyou smiled sincerely.

[Wow, Black Bear Sister is such an angel.]

[I think joining a trial is great, you get to know friends and all.]

[Yeah, if I had these friends, I'd be so happy.]

[I bet after passing the first stage, Mu Ge and the others will definitely hang out. Such life-and-death comrades will be friends for life.]

[Haha, that's funny. Maybe they won't even get past the first stage, might not even live to get out.]

[Probably another Mu Xueyao fan. If you're not here to bash Mu Ge, then don't bother.]

[I'm really done.]

...

After eating, they headed toward the house.

But halfway there, Su started coughing uncomfortably, and her face looked pale.

"What's wrong?" Mu Qingyun frowned anxiously at Su's pale face. "I'll find Kazel and have him take a look."

"No need, cough, cough." Su quickly stopped her, "It's an old problem that flares up now and then. Let Beixuan accompany me back to the cave to rest for a while."

"Okay, I'll go with him." Yi Beixuan said quickly after exchanging a glance with Su.

Mu Qingyun frowned. "If anything happens, let the viewers in the livestream know. Have them come here, and I'll bring Kazel to you."

"Okay." Su responded weakly.

[Don't worry Mu Ge, leave it to us. If anything happens, we'll tell you!]

[Mu Ge, go build the house. I want to see the seaweed house fully completed.]

"Thanks." Mu Qingyun glanced at the screen and thanked the helpful viewers.

She looked up, worried, at Su who was being supported by Yi Beixuan. Hesitating, she turned toward the house.

...

"What do we do? Close the stream or not?" Yi Beixuan whispered into Su's ear.

They had escaped, but if they closed the livestream now, the viewers might become suspicious — and Mu Qingyun might suspect something.

"I won't close it. If you close it, hurry and contact the doctor and have him bring something in." Su narrowed her eyes, glanced at the streaming device, and coughed a few times to play the part.

"I tell you, you're really overthinking. Why bother so much just to decorate a house?" Yi Beixuan frowned helplessly. Contact the doctor just for this? Too troublesome.

Hearing this, Su looked up and said calmly, "I don't have a family. This is the first time someone has told me to go home."

Is that so?

Yi Beixuan raised an eyebrow and recalled his previous conversations with the doctor — they always talked about returning to the lab or base, but never about going 'home.'
