"You just need to take your medication properly, stick to your diet plan and avoid any stress related event." Doctor Amanda smiled.
"Do I need it stay in the hospital for a few days before the surgery?" Avery asked, even though he tried to keep his voice clam, he felt nervous and anxious.
"No," Amanda shook her head, "a stent placement isn't a major surgery Avery, we aren't performing a full heart operation on you." She assured. "It will leave just a small incision on your chest, it's just like inserting an ICD, you won't even know it's done." She smiled warmly.
"But there's a chance that I could die." Avery noticed the way Amanda stiffined, her smile dwindling.
Amanda sighed, she stared at Avery with a look that revealed her struggle. "A stent placement doesn't usually have complications, but there are rare cases of...death."
"I could be one of those rare cases." Avery grimaced
