The high sounding ringtone startled all three children including myself and Nicole who immediately shot me a look.
Levi was the first to react. With a loud cry, he called on his siblings to join him, and they did without wasting any time.
I fished out my phone from my pocket, and turned it off, but not before checking the caller ID. It was my mom I noted with a sneer, putting the phone away. Then on a second thought I put the phone on silent which was a smart move on my part because the phone began to ring again almost immediately.
"Just answer it, " Nicole said without looking at me. She was cooing Lennox, and at the same time, blowing kisses to Laurel. It was pointless to try to stop Levi from crying when the room was noisy still.
"It's too noisy in here." I lied but Nicole was not buying it.
"Go outside then, " She suggested, and I let out a sigh. Can she just drop it?
