Two shadows were cast upon the Ancient Dragon Continent.
A patrolling Knight looked up and saw two dragons, like floating mountain ranges, drifting past. One was scarlet, the other pure white, their two-colored flame clouds intertwined, dreamlike and surreal. With a shift, the two dragons transformed into two male figures, one red and one white.
"Please inform the Twilight Hall Master that the Dragonkin Hermit Order is here to visit."
"Y-yes, sir."
The little knight wasn't overly surprised. The Ancient Dragon Continent had no shortage of dragons. Not long ago, he'd even chatted with Mr. Ancient Mountain Dragon for a few words.
Before long, two figures arrived like rainbows, landing in front of them. It was Levi and Elena, the latter with a rosy complexion, clearly having just finished celebrating.
Levi asked with a smile, "What brings you two here?"
The Magma Dragon and Cloud Mist Dragon exchanged a look and said, "We were wondering if the Ancient Dragon Continent is still recruiting? Our Dragonkin Hermit Order would like to merge with it."
Although the Dragonkin Hermit Order was small in number, its average quality was high, and it had quite a few Primal Soul Wizards, making it a top-tier Wizard organization.
The merger of large forces required the approval of the Nora Council. Before this, the council had already informed Levi. Naturally, he couldn't be happier.
"Good, no problem. It's just that the Ancient Dragon Continent is a bit small now. I'll have to apply to the council for a new continent first."
Although Levi occasionally used Seas Change, Fields Transform on the continent, it still couldn't keep up with the ever-increasing demand for expansion.
"No worries, I've already moved the Sleeping Dragon Domain over."
Suddenly, a figure appeared in the Sky Dome, it was the Earth Saint Lord, carrying a continental plate no smaller than the Ancient Dragon Continent on his shoulders like a Giant, descending leisurely, looking relaxed.
Elena couldn't help but laugh:
"Now that's what I call moving."
Levi also complained inwardly.
As the saying goes: The monk can run, but the temple can't.
But for the Earth Saint, that didn't exist.
He could run with the temple!
The two dragons quickly gave a great salute to thank the Earth Saint Lord.
The Earth Saint Lord said, "I've put the continent on the western outer sea. How you want to transform it next is up to you." In fact, with his ability, he could easily merge the two continents together. However, he knew that the Ancient Dragon Continent had its own continental transformation plan, so he wouldn't get in the way.
"Alright, thank you, Senior."
Watching the Legendary leave, the two dragons were filled with emotion.
They naturally knew that the Earth Saint Lord personally moving the continent wasn't for their sake, but for the sake of the Twilight Hall Master.
Sure enough, joining here was a good choice.
In fact, some top-tier Wizard organizations had wanted to join the Ancient Dragon Continent before, but neither the Twilight Hall Master nor the Nora Council had agreed. The Ancient Dragon Continent wasn't a place you could just come to if you wanted.
But any organization related to dragons or animals would have a much easier time joining, and the Twilight Hall Master would generally agree.
No wonder the rumors circulated among the people that the Twilight Hall Master had a hidden identity that everyone overlooked... "Curator of the Ancient Dragon Zoo"! "Welcome to the Ancient Dragon Family."
Afterward, the two dragons took a group of chattering Dragonkin Wizards and temporarily settled on the neighboring Sleeping Dragon Continent.
However, Levi's acquaintances, Ya Lishan Zhuo, Aisley, and the Sky Dragon Wizard, were not here. They were all hard workers, fighting the remnants of the demons in various places to exchange for Sun Flare wonders.
On the other side, the Mechanical School's experts were studying the model of the Sleeping Dragon Continent, as the Sleeping Dragon Continent was bound to be integrated into the Ancient Dragon Continent. It just needed to be mechanically transformed and aligned with the Star Fortress matrix of the Ancient Dragon Continent.
Now that the demons had temporarily stopped their invasion of Nora, the Ancient Dragon Continent had stockpiled enough demon materials to last for hundreds of years, so there was no need to worry about material problems at all. Not to mention, the Nightmare World could continuously send resources over.
Taking advantage of this gap, from the grassroots organizations to the Nora Council, the entire Nora was undergoing a massive transformation movement.
On the one hand, they had to repair the damaged Continental Bridge and Star Gates, and on the other hand, they had to install large-scale protective Magic Arrays and barriers in the coastal settlements of the continent to prepare for the integration of the next large civilization, so as to prevent the incident from happening again.
In the days that followed, one could even see the figures of Great Wizards and even Legendary Wizards appearing all over the world.
They moved the sunken continents out of the sea, completely repaired the damaged crystal walls, and used earth-shattering spells to heal the scarred Nora. The speed of post-disaster reconstruction was exceptionally fast.
If Nora was still around ten thousand years later, then future generations recalling this time might marvel at the magnificence of this era, and the miraculous: Nora Speed!
Two years later.
Nora Calendar 1552, Bloody Battle 1440.
Ancient Banyan Immortal Realm.
The Three Realms transformation here is already half completed, and the construction period is even faster than Mana expected. The prototypes of the Three Realms have all been established, folded within the Ancient Banyan Immortal Realm like parallel worlds, isolated from each other, yet connected.
Human Realm.
Beside the Small Stone Pond.
Levi was surrounded by thick books, and Crystal Balls piled up like mountains, all kinds of Knowledge and spell models.
During this period, he focused on studying the spells of the School of Dream Weaving. The low and mid-tier spell sequences have been determined, but the names have not yet been decided.
Elena, in a black gauze dress, appeared.
"I've refined the [Tide Lord]. This Wonder is truly extraordinary. Guess what incredible function it gave birth to."
Her tone was excited, obviously beyond her expectations.
Levi looked up and smiled, "Did it extend your Lifespan?"
"How did you know? Ugh, I forgot, you can see Lifespan. That's right, it actually extended my Lifespan by three hundred years... It's the first time I've heard of a Wonder that can extend Lifespan."
Levi smiled without saying a word.
As a Wonder refiner, he had a Heart Sense when he consumed his own Lifespan that the Wonder's function might include Lifespan extension. Now that it was confirmed, he was relieved that his hundred years hadn't been wasted.
It even tripled.
"Besides that? What other functions are there?"
"This Wonder has increased my mental power by a full 1000 points, which is 100 points higher than the Sun Flare Wonder of the Water God Sequence," Elena said.
Levi nodded. Indeed, it was very good, at the same level as his Element Certificate Wonder. As expected, you get what you pay for.
"In addition, a special talent was born, presenting the phenomenon of a giant turtle in the testing Crystal Ball, which I call [Turtle God Body], but it was fused and absorbed by the [Water God Body] not long after it appeared."
Elena showed the Crystal Ball to Levi.
On the sea representing the Child of Water Element, the blue-robed Water God's phantom stood barefoot on the head of a giant turtle, looking out at the turbulent waves!
It reminded Levi of a sentence: Eastward to Jieshi, to view the vast sea.
"Your Water God Body has now exceeded the normal scope, perhaps you can change its name to [Gazing at the Sea]."
"[Gazing at the Sea]? A good name, full of poetry."
"Uh, it was originally the name of a poem."
"Who wrote it?"
"I did."
"I highly doubt it."
After complaining about Levi, Elena excitedly showed off her newly born companion spirit. With a thought, the sound of waves echoed, and the sea surged.
A ten-foot-tall blue turtle phantom appeared around Elena, its surface flowing with a thick, glue-like blue heavy water.
"This is a companion spirit. Don't look at its small size and lack of combat power, but its defense is super strong. I've experimented with it in the Nightmare World.
Almost no non-Ninth Ring existence in the organization can break its defense in a short time. It's an excellent shield on the battlefield."
Levi said, "Not bad, you can call it [Tide Sea Spirit]."
In his view, this Sun Flare Wonder, in terms of defense alone, should be top-notch, bringing the advantages of the Ocean Faction to the extreme.
"By the way, what's your mental power level now?"
"Almost twenty thousand."
"Good, you should first stabilize your mental power realm, and don't refine Wonders or Soul Stones for the time being. With your current Lifespan, steady progress is enough. At this stage, focus on studying spells and potions to increase your Knowledge reserves."
"Okay."
Whether it was the Three Avatars or Elena, they didn't need to work as hard as other Wizards in terms of mental power improvement.
If they adopted the kind of reckless, greedy, and aggressive pure drug-taking cultivation method, with Levi's resources and methods, he could completely make their mental power skyrocket.
But the end result of that would be, in severe cases, cultivation deviation and Primal Soul explosion, and in mild cases, an unstable realm and mental derangement. Like a balloon bursting from being overfilled with water, all the existing mental power would dissipate.
That's why Levi always emphasized the stability of mental power. It's necessary for a Wizard to have a will, mind, perseverance, experience, Knowledge, and other foundations that match their mental power, building a stable pool to steadily hold water.
This point is very important, and there are bloody lessons to be learned.
Because the Ancient Dragon Continent is extremely rich in Truth Wonders, for some geniuses or rising stars, as long as they are willing to work hard and are excellent enough, they won't lack ways to directly enhance their mental power. Some people have taken too many treasures beyond their cultivation level in a short period, leading to a mental power explosion and being burst to death.
Therefore, the Ancient Dragon Continent encourages every Wizard to have a skill. Potion Making, card making, artifact crafting, Magic Arrays, or other skills are all acceptable. It's to allow Wizards to strengthen their mental power reservoir through these activities in addition to cultivation.
Time flows.
In the blink of an eye, another three years have passed.
Nora Calendar 1555.
Bloody Battle 1443.
As the demons ceased their attacks, Nora ushered in a brief period of peace and respite, but whether it was the higher-ups or the lower levels, no one dared to relax too much. After all, the Bloody Battle demon army was still stationed in the Darkness Zone.
The reason they temporarily ceased fighting was to wait for more Abyss support and continuously stockpile troops. It was foreseeable that in the near future, a super war far exceeding the previous three full-scale wars would erupt.
Although Eamon appeared, dispelling the rumors of his fall, there were still some conspiracy theories, or those brainwashed by the Myriad Races Council, constantly creating panic among the people.
They said that Eamon was just a dying ember, at the end of his rope. In a thousand years, he would most likely fall. For the Abyss, a thousand years was just a moment.
When that opportunity came, the Abyss would inevitably send forces several times greater than Nora's to swiftly destroy this emerging super civilization.
Hearing these rumors, Levi sneered inwardly.
"The Myriad Races Council is about to fail, so they can only use creating panic to disintegrate Nora? After another period of closed-door cultivation, when my main breathing techniques are all at the mid-Sixth Ring stage, I can go and meet these people."
With his current strength, there were very few in the Myriad Races Council who could pose a serious threat to him. In fact, most of the Tenth Ring experts in the Multiverse were at the early Tenth Ring stage, and not many could reach the middle stage.
As for the late Tenth Ring, comparable to powerful gods, they were even rarer.
Levi's next plan was to go to Hell and other Bloody Battle battlefields to hunt demons, further enhance the strength of the Bloody Battle Spirit, and nurture it to be infinitely close to the Tenth Ring realm. Then, with the combined power of him and the Bloody Battle Spirit, it should be enough to deal with early Tenth Ring experts.
The next day.
Levi opened the newspaper and saw an important piece of news.
[Nora Daily: It is reported that a serious internal strife occurred in the Myriad Races Council not long ago. The Void Great Emperor, one of the ancient ones, has defected and is missing. Facts have proven that any black forces attempting to subvert Nora are just paper tigers and clowns. Without us even taking action, the enemy will collapse on its own.]
Levi was amused.
He had always regarded the Myriad Races Council as an important enemy of Nora, but before the two sides had even officially started fighting, the other side was already about to disintegrate.
The departure of the Void Great Emperor was the fuse. The Myriad Races Council, whose strength was already crushed by Nora, was even less worth mentioning. Next, other Tenth Ring experts who were not Plane Dominators would most likely leave.
As for those Dominators who were tied to their planes, they would be miserable. However, they would not sit idly by and wait for death, and might think of other ways to save themselves. These old things were all a bunch of avatars and incarnations, and it was actually very difficult to completely annihilate them.
In any case, the morale of the army had been shaken.
The Myriad Races Tribulation was easily resolved! ...
"Lord, Lord, Ms. Namenia has given birth! And it's twins." A Dragon Sprite ran to Levi with a flushed face, panting.
"Oh, I'll go take a look."
Levi came to the breeding room and saw two slender cyan giant eggs standing like swords, covered with hard bronze dragon scales.
As for the parents of the dragon eggs, the couple had already run to the Nightmare World to practice swordsmanship, a long-standing tradition of the Dragon Race.
"Not bad, they both have life signs."
Levi casually took out two Rebirth Stones.
Although the Nether Market was closed, Levi still opened up channels and bought a thousand stones from the Netherworld in one go, a billion blind boxes.
As for the price, it was naturally to support the Hell battlefield for a period of time and hunt a few Ninth Ring demons, which was a win-win situation for Levi.
He wanted to see who was reincarnated into the dragon eggs.
Judging from the timeline, Gustav and Leviathan were both possible. As a result, after some operations, the Rebirth Stone did not react. He consulted Nether King Mose.
This Minotaur had a good relationship with Levi and was doing well in the Netherworld. His position was rising step by step, and even his strength had improved a lot. He was almost at the mid-Ninth Ring stage, and he must have gotten some benefits.
Mose laughed:
"Hahaha, it seems you're unaware. Dragon eggs, shortly after hatching, don't possess the conditions for reincarnation. You'll have to wait a bit longer to see the results."
"I see, thank you for the information."
After a month, Levi tested again. To his great delight, one of the eggs was indeed the reincarnation of a Leviathan. In its previous life, the little guy was just a mixed-blood dragon, but in this life, it could be considered a dragon among dragons. As for the other, its previous life was a member of a different race within the Ancient Banyan Immortal Realm, not Gustav.
Despite this, Levi was quite satisfied.
In reality, this was just his way of comforting himself, as after reincarnation, there was no connection to the previous life.
On this day.
In the Emperor Palace, two figures stood before Levi, their expressions respectful. They were the Azure Ghost and Azure Demon brothers, both now councilors. They were doing quite well, and the Azure Scale Race, thanks to these two Ninth Ring powerhouses, was among the top 20 races in Nora.
"Master, what do you need us for?"
Levi remained silent, then released the Black Emperor Enslavement on the two. As the overbearing restraints vanished, the brothers exchanged a glance and immediately knelt on the ground.
"Master, we are absolutely loyal to Nora, to you!"
It was a joke. The Myriad Races Council was on the verge of collapse. With the outbreak of total war, demons rampaging, and the order of the Multiverse gone, they had nowhere to go but Nora.
"I know. I used some special methods on you before, but it was for your own good. The Seven-Colored Scale Race is an extraordinary race and shouldn't be buried in the dust of history. Today, just swear an oath on your swords, and I believe you will make the right choice and not disappoint me," Levi said with a smile.
The two were greatly relieved and, after swearing their oaths, thanked him repeatedly. They then returned to the Sauron Continent, while Levi went to the Nightmare World.
The Nightmare Avatar sat atop the Flesh Mother Tree in the Black Dragon Territory. Beneath the tree, the Khorne Overlord, who had been curled up like a puppy sleeping beside its master, opened its eyes, its expression confused. Then, showing a similar expression to the Azure Scale brothers, it quickly said, "Thank you, Dragon King."
"You've worked hard these years. Take these things and consume them, and advance further, reaching the mid-stage of the Ninth Ring."
The Khorne Overlord finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Like the rabbit that is killed once the hunt is over, or the bow that is discarded once the birds are gone, these guys who had once been enslaved by the Black Emperor were most worried that their master would get rid of them once he was strong enough. Being able to land safely was the perfect ending.
With this, only 9 were still enslaved.
The others had all been freed.
Levi had not yet released the Black Emperor Enslavement on the little spider in the Folo Domain.
It wasn't that he didn't trust the little guy, but he still needed this layer of contract for remote communication. Once more advanced communication methods appeared in the future, it would be free.
Currently, under Eamon's leadership, the high-level members of the Nora Council were refining this treasure. Once it was created, it would definitely be a more advanced treasure than the Darkness Temple. In the future, Nora citizens could communicate freely when traveling to the Multiverse.
As for the Red King, its situation was also special. So, it could only be wronged for a while longer, waiting for Levi to research a solution.
Two years later.
Nora Calendar 1557.
This year, Levi was 1980 years old.
Beside the Small Stone Pond.
"It's almost your two-thousandth birthday. What kind of birthday gift do you want?" Elena asked, floating leisurely in the pond, looking up at the sky.
"You can prepare whatever you want. Anything you prepare is fine," Levi said, his words impeccable. He was thinking about something.
"You really know how to talk," Elena said with a giggle.
Then, Levi pulled her into the water. After frolicking with Elena in the Small Stone Pond, and after their lovemaking, Levi's mind was exceptionally sharp.
He let Elena go back to cultivate, while he seized this time to study his Nightmare Sequence's high-level spells, achieving twice the result with half the effort, his efficiency extremely high!
"Not bad, as expected of the sage time."
Levi murmured, looking at the Sixth Ring spell Wedding in a Dream.
This spell could pull enemies into a woven illusion and evoke their most beautiful memories, creating a heteromorphic avatar composed of Nightmare Power, and then lead them into the grave of marriage.
From then on, they would be addicted to it, unable to escape until death. This spell was a critical hit for those pure love warriors. For some people, the effect might be average. In short, Levi was just doing it for fun.
"Twilight Hall Master, an envoy from the Barbarian Race has arrived."
"Oh, who is it?"
"He said his name is Barbarian Kui."
Emperor Palace.
A burly middle-aged man with thick eyebrows and large eyes savored the Mind-Clearing Tea in his cup, letting out a breath and sighing, "Good tea, I once drank it in the Ancient Tomb World."
Levi smiled, "Indeed, it's tea from the Ancient Tomb World. What brings you here, Barbarian Kui? You must be an incarnation of the Will of Azure Sky, correct?"
The middle-aged man asked, "How did you know?"
"Among the entire Barbarian Race, the only one I can't see through completely, aside from the Will of Azure Sky, should be no one else," Levi said.
"I am not an incarnation, I am the Will of Azure Sky. In the Primordial Era, before I became the Barbarian Ancestor, I was named Kui," the man said leisurely.
"From the Primordial Era until now... So, Senior, you have become a god?"
"You could say that, but I am different from those ordinary Star Realm gods. In fact, that group of gods in the Star Realm are just false gods," the man said with a hint of disdain on his face, showing that he didn't have much affection for the Star Realm.
"What do you mean by that?"
"Do you know when the Star Realm was born? Do you know how many eras our Multiverse has gone through?"
"I don't know, please enlighten me, Senior."
Seeing Levi's thirst for knowledge, the middle-aged man's interest was piqued. After arriving in Nora, he marveled at Eamon's power and was also amazed by Levi's talent.
He guessed that one of these two must be related to Sauron, so he wanted to build a good relationship and also test them out. He had already met Eamon, and this time he came to Levi to verify some questions in his mind.
The long years had allowed him to see too much and accumulate endless Knowledge. Now, Levi's attitude pleased him greatly, and he was eager to show off a little. He also wanted to break the stereotype that Wizards had of the Barbarian Race being simple-minded and well-developed in limbs.
My Barbarian Race also has cultured people! The middle-aged man took a sip of tea and spoke profoundly:
"Before the Primordial Era, there was the Primordial Era; before the Primordial Era, there was the Nether Era; before the Nether Era, there was the Abyssal Era; before the Abyssal Era, there was the Darkness Era; before the Darkness Era, there was the Primal Era; and before the Primal Era, there was the Chaos Era. Further back, there should be nothing... or perhaps there is, but no one knows. The further back in the eras, the longer the time span, so long that no one knows how many years have passed, except for the Annals of Time itself.
Chaos, Primal, Darkness, Abyssal, Nether, Primordial, Ancient, Prehistoric, Recent... These are the nine chapters of the Annals of Time. I call myself an old thing, but I have only lived through the most recent and shortest three chapters.
I don't know about the events of the Chaos Era with my knowledge. I think that at that time, there was probably no life. The universe was like an unhatched chicken egg, or a singularity, without the concept of time and space, and everything was nothingness.
Then this egg hatched, and some things were born. This was during the Primal Era. At this time, there were some beings with consciousness.
In our current view, they may not even be living beings, but unconventional life forms. I will tentatively call them Primal Spirits.
During this period, the environment was extremely harsh, Earth-Fire Wind-Water were chaotic, time and space were unstable, and the rules were incomplete. Most of the Primal Spirits failed to survive this long period and dissipated on their own.
Some of them became cosmic wonders and were permanently preserved, and some may have become what you Wizards call Truth Wonders... In short, during my travels, I have discovered traces of their existence more or less.
Of course, some survived.
Then endless darkness enveloped our universe, entering the Darkness Era, and the Darkness Zone was born.
In fact, I have a bold guess that the Darkness Era should also have been caused by a powerful Primal Spirit, but I have no evidence.
If it is true, then the Darkness Zone, which contains the Multiverse and nurtures countless civilizations and worlds, may also be an unconventional life form that transcends the limits of our imagination."
Levi listened, lost in thought.
He had also had such a guess before.
Mainly from several aspects.
First, living beings go through Sixth Ring tribulations, especially the Knights' Darkness Tribulation; second, if the world is destroyed, it will also bring tribulations.
If the Darkness Zone itself is a Primal Spirit, and then nurtured all of this, then all the worlds, civilizations, and living beings, including Levi, will be part of its vast system. For example, if the world is its cell, then destroying its cell will inevitably cause the immune system to deal with it.
And those transcendents who cultivate against the heavens and plunder resources to strengthen themselves are also "unstable factors" in its body. So when it comes to key nodes, there are various great tribulations to obliterate them. If that's the case, it makes sense.
The middle-aged man continued, "Of course, this is just my guess. I have been a person who likes to think wildly since I was a child, and it may not be true."
Levi smiled:
"I think Senior's guess makes a lot of sense."
"Hahaha, it's a pity that Sauron has fallen, otherwise I would have called him over to discuss it together, that would have been interesting. With his Knowledge and intelligence, perhaps he could have studied it more thoroughly and found key evidence!"
"Yes, it's a pity."
Seeing that Levi also seemed unclear about Sauron's situation, the middle-aged man sighed inwardly, lamenting how deeply Sauron hid himself. He continued,
"In short, during the Darkness Era, the Multiverse we now inhabit should have begun to take initial shape, though perhaps not as prosperous as it is now.
Compared to many who stick to their own little corner, I've traveled extensively. Let me ask you a question: do you think the Multiverse has boundaries?"
Levi recalled Sauron's classic saying:
The Multiverse is infinitely wonderful.
"I don't know. Probably not? Even if there are, it's because our observational abilities are insufficient to see them."
The middle-aged man shook his head.
"Not so. I've been to the edge of the Multiverse. It's a place of utter darkness. No matter how far you travel, you can't see a single world, only endless void and chaotic Earth-Fire Wind-Water.
I saw faint glimmers of light in the distance, being enveloped by the constantly expanding and spreading darkness. I believe the Multiverse does have boundaries. The Darkness Zone is still growing and expanding, like Nora is now.
What that light is, I don't know.
I suspect it might be other universes. Do you understand what I mean? Worlds completely different from our own."
"I understand."
He understood all too well. He and Sauron came from other universes. They were true outsiders... transmigrators. It seemed that if one could traverse the Darkness Zone and reach the boundary, there might be hope of returning to Earth? Although Levi didn't want to go back, curiosity drove him to ask, "Senior, if it's another universe, have you tried to enter? That must be very interesting."
The man chuckled.
"Am I a fool? How would I dare go to such an unfamiliar place? Besides, at the boundary of the Darkness Zone, spacetime is in utter chaos. That white light may seem not far away, but even if I flew for ten thousand years, I couldn't touch it. Not even an Eleventh Ring, let alone a Sixth Ring, could necessarily reach there."
"Alright."
Seeming to think of something, the man asked, "I've recently learned that the Endless Sea has three calamities: sea beasts, windstorms, and... Mirages. The first two are natural phenomena. Have you ever encountered a Mirage?"
"Has Senior encountered one?"
"Yes, because this thing isn't unique to Nora. We also have it in a certain sea area of our Azure Sky Continent, we call it... Guixu. I've traveled to many places where it has appeared. I suspect this thing might be a node connecting other universes."
Hearing this, Levi's heart couldn't help but stir.
Once, during a tribulation, he had been pulled into a Mirage by the Darkness Tribulation, where he had witnessed many bizarre and illusory things.
He had even seen his parents, conjured up by the monster, and his home. And that door glowing with white light, behind which was the familiar city.
At the time, he had a strong feeling that if he stepped out, he might return to his former world. However, his reason told him that this thing was likely a psychological suggestion or illusion of the Mirage. And he didn't want to go back.
But now, combined with what the Will of Azure Sky said,
That Mirage was probably not just a simple illusion. That thing might be a connection point to many universes, including his and Sauron's.
Could it be that he and Sauron were brought here by the Mirage? Or rather, Sauron came through it, and then used some means to bring him over as well? If so, the "outsiders" of the Multiverse might not be limited to Sauron and himself. There might be other accidentally arrived existences, but they all died.
Levi estimated that the Darkness Zone's activation of the Mirage calamity was to send him back to his original universe, because his existence had disrupted some kind of balance that it, as the Multiverse's creator, wanted to maintain.
Too bad, he was just staying put!
So, he had to be careful in the future, lest he be pulled into the Mirage again. He might not be able to return next time.
Just kidding, he had been a transcendent for two thousand years. Who would want to go back to that boring modern civilization and be a wage slave? Here, he was the boss! There, without transcendent abilities, he would be leeks, his short life without freedom.
Levi's psychological fluctuations were naturally noticed by the man.
He looked calm, and then smiled:
"It seems you've also encountered a Mirage."
"Indeed."
The man said nothing, he continued:
"In short, the foundations of our current understanding and the basic structure of the universe were formed during the Darkness Era. Before that, whether it was Chaos or Primal, there were no truly meaningful living beings.
So the greatest lie of the Star Realm gods is self-defeating. Even the strongest of them doesn't have the qualifications to create the world, let alone other gods? They are just a bunch of Star Realm parasites who came later. Where are there any gods in this world?
If we regard the Darkness Zone as the most powerful Primal Spirit, then in the subsequent Darkness Era, there were some existences quietly gestating and transforming within it. One of them is called the Abyss Worm, or the Chaos Worm, or the Devourer. It constantly devours the matter within the Darkness Zone to strengthen itself. It has self-awareness, but it is also very chaotic.
It is the Abyss. Unlike Nora, the Abyss was not created by the Darkness Zone. It is itself a very unconventional life form.
If you can view the Abyss from a distance, you will find that it really looks like a fat worm. Originally, I wasn't very sure about my guess, until I was trapped there for a thousand years, I became more and more convinced that I was right."
"Within this worm's body, countless Abyss Maggots are gestated. Through endless plundering and slaughter, they gradually give rise to demons."
Levi nodded. This aligned with what he had learned in his early Abyss common knowledge courses. Some Magic Soil that had been contaminated by demonic energy for a long time would eventually give birth to Abyss Maggots, gradually differentiating into various demons. For example, the demons in the Dragon Ruins Weird Realm came about in this way.
The man continued, "So, in a way, demons are indeed the oldest beings in the Multiverse, even older than the gods. Over the long years, the Abyss has continuously devoured worlds and living beings, gestating the so-called Abyss layers and an entire demon ecosystem, layer by layer. Sauron should have been to the 666th layer, only to be stopped by the Chaos Attendant. What lies beyond the 666th layer, perhaps no one knows except the Abyss itself."
Hearing this, Levi suddenly asked, "What is the relationship between the Abyss Will and the Abyss?"
"I can't say for sure. In my humble opinion, the Primal Spirits and similar entities appeared so early that, although they are innately incomparably powerful, they lack the characteristics of conventional living beings, so they exist somewhere between living and dead things, similar to the self-generated consciousness of various worlds after their birth in the Multiverse.
"The Abyss Will should also be some kind of personality or consciousness aggregate evolved from the Abyss. In short, these kinds of beings often can't do anything proactively and can only influence the world through other indirect means."
"That makes sense."
"The long period of the Abyss's rise and expansion is the Abyssal Era. Devouring and slaughter are the absolute main themes.
"In the early Multiverse, death was everywhere. For the Darkness Zone, it was like having a parasite constantly eating away at its flesh and blood, but it couldn't cut open its own flesh and blood or break its own bones to pull it out.
"But it naturally wouldn't sit idly by and wait for death. I once delved into the Netherworld and discovered some clues. I reasonably speculate that the Darkness Zone, in order to solve this problem, tried to support another Primal Spirit that remained in its body. It is the River of Death, the River of Order, the Reincarnator.
"It is now the Nether Mother River. The so-called Netherworld is essentially a river that spreads throughout the Multiverse, branching out in all directions.
"It exists in a dimension that is difficult for ordinary people to see, and it breeds some life forms that control life, death, and reincarnation. On the one hand, it restrains the Abyss, and on the other hand, it transforms death into new life, cycling endlessly.
"Under such a mechanism, apart from those Primal Spirits similar to the Darkness Zone and those related to them, normal Multiverse life, whether Barbarian Race or Wizard, forever wanders and toils between the two points of life and death.
"This is the way of balance, the way of order!
"After the Nether Era, the world's structure became closer to what we have now, but there are still two who have not appeared: Nightmare and the Star Realm. The trajectories of these two are actually similar to those of the Abyss and the Netherworld. In the final analysis, it is still the infighting among the group of Primal Spirits after the beginning of Chaos.
"In search of something, I once went to the Nightmare World and conducted some investigation and research on it. I call its main body the Red-Black Mother, the Mother of Terror. It should be a Truth Seer.
"This Primal Spirit lives by absorbing negative emotions such as fear. It uses dreams and other forms to let countless living beings see the true face of the world, which is darkness, bloodstained, slaughter, death, ruthlessness... and thereby strengthens the negative emotions of living beings, growing rapidly in the Primordial Era.
"Haven't you noticed? Those Flesh Mother Trees and Flesh Boundary Mountains all over the Nightmare World resemble the structure of some kind of life form. We are too small, blinded by a leaf. This one also rose rapidly in the Primordial Era and became the other extreme of the universe."
