"Come here, waitress, we are at your dear cliff" Seviun said beckoning to her, with a curved finger, a scary grin on his face. She couldn't move, her head vigorously shaking her refusal.
He didn't call her again, rather he signaled to Bear behind her, who shoved her forward with a hard push. That guy must really have something against her. She turned back with a hateful glare.
"You said you would rather throw yourself down a deadly cliff than have anything to do with me" Seviun said, "Well, we are now at the love of your life; your beloved deadly cliff, come throw yourself down"
She didn't dare move forward as all she could do was look at Seviun with fear and a bit of anger. If he pushed her down this cliff and she died here, no one would know what happened to her and even if Laura did report that she was last seen with Seviun, there is nothing anyone can do against him as he is the Alpha King and she is nothing but an insignificant, puny human.
When she still didn't move Seviun grabbed her by the neck and dragged her forward till she was standing directly at the edge of the cliff, looking down she could see how far she was from the ground—how high above. She screamed.
Finally finding her voice, she pleaded with Seviun, "Please, please, I beg you, do not throw me down"
When he still didn't relent, his hold on her neck not easing, she added desperately, "I am sorry, I am sorry, I didn't mean what I said. I wasn't serious when I said it"
"You weren't? But you sounded pretty serious to me, little waitress" Seviun snickered, his lips curling in an evil grin.
His hand on her neck eased up a bit and Allegra thought maybe he was going to let her go only for him to hold her both hands by the side and shake her as if he was actually going to let her fall. Allegra screamed, she literally felt the life go out of her. Luckily for her in less than a minute he drew her back and she found herself against him. Just recovering from the shock of a lifetime, she was close to tears as she turned and began hitting at his chest like a crazed woman, pouring out all her anger—residue of her fear and shock.
Somehow the tears streaming down her face and her teary voice softened the hard heart of Seviun and he raised his hand to stop Bear who was coming forward to throw her away. Then against his own beliefs he drew her close to his chest to console her—surprising not just Bear and his driver but himself as well.
Soon she stopped fighting his embrace as she calmed down and let her tears flow freely, despite himself he found that he was telling her… sorry? Of all things he was actually apologizing to this human waitress for his actions. He who apologizes to no one.
As though his apologizing was not enough he began to notice how soft she felt, how nice she smelt, the silkiness of her hair against his neck, and above all, the way she fitted perfectly in his hands. He stepped back—getting away from her and stifling every confusing emotion.

It was no less than three hours ago when Allegra experienced the shock of her life—of her entire existence— at the cliff, and yet three hours later, now in the comfort of her room—wrapped in her blankets—she still can't get over it. She felt like she was going to die. In her mind, she had already falling off the cliff and was close to being crushed on the ground, she had already seen the stone she was going to hit her head on and die if he did push her.
Seviun went too far, it is not as if she should expect anything less from a beast like him, but still. If he wasn't going to let her die why play with her in such a way, and it didn't help that she was scared of heights.
Now that she remembers the entire horrible ordeal, the worst part of it wasn't nearly being thrown off a cliff and meeting her end at the bottom, no, rather it was the humiliating way in which she let her fear show before Seviun and that nasty Bear. The way she bawled her eyes out—no doubt looking no way near pretty.
Knowing Seviun he would probably use that against her later, worse if he has figured out that the whole display was due to something more than just his action—her fear of heights. Although he has been nice to her for the rest of the day, perhaps the more human part of him knew he had taken things far, still she knew the beast would resurface again soon.
Then suddenly a bright idea lit up in her head like a light bulb and she bolted, sitting straight up on her bed.
"That's it! Instead of sitting around waiting for the next thing Seviun would do to me, I should make my escape now why he is still being nice and remorseful. If I can play my cards right, with a little pity party, he might just free his tight hold on me and I can make a run for it" she said to herself, grinning triumphantly and rather widely as though she has found the cure to a world problem.
In that moment, where she first came up with her plan, she didn't think of the buts and what ifs—like where would she run too? Seviun is the King of the werewolf country they are in, and the towns all around the capital are under his control, even if she were to somehow make it to the nearest town—which is still miles away—that is not under Seviun's control, she would be unable to gain passage without proper identification as it would be in Faerie country.
