Chapter 21 - Damn you Daredevil

Obadiah! I allowed you to choose a few subordinates to spread the glory of our Almighty Lord… and now? This worthless being has been defeated by a weak human?!

The middle-aged man with glowing reddish‑amber eyes shouted. Before him, all the leaders of the Sons of the Devil were kneeling. That scene alone was enough to demonstrate his status.

But among them, Obadiah was the saddest of all. With each word the man spoke, it was as if thousands of daggers were piercing his heart. Sorrow and rage surged within him.

He clenched his teeth and cursed Kingpin in his heart:

That scum… I lost face because of him! Now I will be mocked for ages!

The veins on the man's forehead bulged. His immense demonic aura unleashed itself, ignoring everyone else.

All the leaders present were powerful half‑demons—each alone comparable to an army. Yet under the pressure of the man's aura, they panted for breath. Still, none dared to protest.

That man's name was Agares. If you asked who among them was angriest, it was undoubtedly him. This defeat was like a stain on his reputation.

These worthless hybrids shamed me before Father!

Agares was the first demon created by Samael (Lord of Demons). In his own eyes, he was Father's number‑one son.

But suddenly… the Almighty Father created another sister: Satan.

A delightful loli with red skin, horns, and a tail. By human standards of beauty, she was utterly adorable. Anyone would be happy to have such a sister… but Agares only felt threatened.

This stray cat has stolen all of Father's attention!

He now had a new rival—one he hated more than anyone: Satan. He'd been demoted from son number one to number two. Unbearable.

Unlike ignorant mortals, Agares knew the truth.

The Lord of Demons, the Goddess they were all clones of the king of heaven

The war was just a spectacle for Father's entertainment.

To Agares, it made no difference. The Lord of Demons, the Goddess, or the King of Heaven… they were all one person—his beloved parent.

And thus, he felt threatened by those doves of heaven.

Lucifer—that spoiled little thief—was Father's heir. They said Father loved him the most.

Michael, Gabriel, Raphael, Metatron, Uriel, Haniel, Zadkiel… they were all daggers plunged into Agares' heart.

All those bastards must die!

The more he thought, the more his rage flared.

Oh Father… why did you create these parasitic thieves?

Now the Kingpin had been defeated by one of the Chosen. It was a hard slap to Agares' face.

So, my subordinates are weaker than Mother's playthings?

Now he was disgraced not only before Father (Lord of Demons) and Mother (the Goddess), but perhaps even before the Heavenly King.

That thieving sister is probably laughing at me right now!

He lost before even going to heaven to fight those doves.

Agares restrained himself. No matter how angry he was at Obadiah… this man was the first envoy sent by his Father.

Reluctantly, he forgave him.

After all, I am the merciful Agares…

"This is your last chance, you bastards! If you mess up again, you will face the consequences. I swear I will torture you until you beg for death!"

He withdrew his aura.

The leaders of the Sons of the Devil breathed a sigh of relief—as if they had just escaped disaster.

All of them glared at Kingpin with predator‑red eyes. Among them, Obadiah was the most furious. If looks could kill, Kingpin would have died a thousand times over.

Kingpin:

Wesley, under those reddish‑amber stares, broke into a cold sweat. Unconsciously, he said:

"It's not too late to switch sides…"

Kingpin:

The Emperor of the Underworld suddenly felt lonely.

It was that damned Daredevil's fault!

Last night, in his demonic form, Kingpin had utterly dominated Daredevil in every way. Even if the Hulk had come, he would have been crushed like a baby under Kingpin's fists.

He had become a natural disaster—a superior being beyond humans. Perhaps only Thanos, the Lord of the Cosmos, could have fought him in that state.

But Daredevil's adaptability was unbelievable. An unkillable cockroach.

At the start of the fight:

Kingpin mockingly said:

"Immortality? When I destroy every cell in your body, will you still live? O human, do not be arrogant.

But then… something was wrong.

No matter what he did, Daredevil wouldn't die. His endurance was endless.

The result?

When the demonic form ended, the immortal Daredevil beat Kingpin to the brink of death.

A one‑sided beatdown.

Kingpin could only escape with Wesley's help. He had lost everything.

What did it feel like?

To be beaten one‑sidedly by the enemy you hate?

It hurt. A lot.

Now he was humiliated in the cult. Even Lord Agares and perhaps their Supreme Lord were disappointed in him.

Others were receiving rewards… he could only watch.

His dream of ruling the world with his master's support had been shattered.

This shame must be cleansed.

Daredevil must pay.

He had to reclaim his place.

The only way was to absorb the Demonic Heart more quickly.

The Demonic Heart—a gift from the Lord of Demons—granted them infinite power. It transformed a human into a half‑demon, and eventually into a full demon.

But there was also danger:

Corruption by demonic energy. The loss of sanity.

Never underestimate demonic emotions…

But who was he?

The Emperor of the Underworld!

Ha… demonic energy cannot stop me!

But if he didn't become stronger and lost again… a fate worse than death awaited him.

As a demon, Kingpin never underestimated other demons.

He had to take the risk.
