"Kyah!" Mira panicked, latching herself onto the tree closest to her. "Gege, what is going on here?!" She shouted from her lungs, blood drained from her face. For a girl who had been living in the ocean for her entire life, an earthquake was definitely a new and probably the scariest thing she had experienced.
"No, Mira! Don't go there!" Chen Ze shouted back, using his massive bag to cover his head. "Use your bag to protect your head and go to the middle here! Don't hide behind the tree! If it fell, you would be crushed to death!"
Mira's face turned paler – even though she had never thought it could be possible after the first shock due to the earthquake – before she crawled to the spot where Chen Ze was. She didn't know where the middle was, but at least, Chen Ze should know where, and she would also be safer with the scientist around her.
