The trio scolded by Shiran had never felt this difficult before.
Ten minutes ago.
Cynthia, stationed to the east, sat on a rock, bored, eating a sandwich, when a group of agitated wild Pokémon and a suspicious Pokémon Trainer suddenly rushed out from the direction where the Pokémon Center personnel had been evacuated.
The situation of the two parties meeting was quite comical; Cynthia, biting into her sandwich, looked at the Spinarak and Ariados scattered on the ground, while the Pokémon Trainer in the Pokémon Center uniform stared at Cynthia.
After a moment of stalemate, the Pokémon Center staff directly turned and fled.
Long before Professor Rowan arrived to evacuate the Pokémon Center, the trio of incompetents had gathered to discuss how to return to assist Shiran. The final plan was for the other two to act together to attract any potential enemies while one person was responsible for returning from the evacuation direction to launch a surprise attack.
He was a native of Sinnoh and naturally knew who was sitting there eating a sandwich.
Only a fool wouldn't run; if you're capable, go ahead!
Spinarak and Ariados looked confused; just moments ago, this person had told them that someone was ambushing the Pokémon Center and asked for their help, so why was he the first to turn and run?
Spinarak lived near the Pokémon Center, and the staff often brought Pokémon food to feed them, so when they heard something had happened at the Pokémon Center, they all mobilized.
The roar of Garchomp sent the timid Spinarak scattering in all directions. The Spinarak and Ariados that weren't scared off looked at Garchomp and then at the Pokémon Center, deciding to ignore the fleeing guy and continue forward.
"Togekiss, if you can explain, do so; if not, take them all down." Cynthia's Togekiss lunged at the group of Pokémon still heading toward the Pokémon Center.
Garchomp flew toward the fleeing Pokémon Center staff member.
"Golbat, continuously fire Shadow Ball."
Garchomp didn't even flinch at the incoming Shadow Ball, taking it head-on.
Golbat hadn't even reacted when Garchomp's fierce face was already right in front of it, leaving no room for resistance. Golbat was lightly swatted by Garchomp and lost its fighting ability without even using a move.
Like a toy, Garchomp tossed the Pokémon Center employee at Cynthia's feet. Cynthia glanced at him, tossed a sandwich to Garchomp, and returned to sit on the rock.
The group of Ariados and Spinarak ultimately did not heed the advice. Togekiss felt sad and could only beat them all up, knocking them unconscious to finish the matter.
Garchomp continued to fly in the sky, monitoring the surroundings.
Diantha's direction encountered an ambush from two people. The duo of incompetents exposed to Hawlucha's line of sight had no way to respond and could only hastily launch an attack.
The duo did not rally nearby Pokémon to join the battle; they released all twelve Pokémon in their full combat power.
Crobat, Staraptor, Swalot, Dustox, Lickitung, Ursaring, two Weezing, two Muk, and one Steel-type Onix each.
"It's still not too late to leave; Pokémon battles are not just a game for girls."
Diantha sent out Gourgeist and continued to let Hawlucha suddenly fly away into the distance, leaving the battlefield.
Diantha glanced at the Pokémon released by the duo and nodded in satisfaction: "Twelve, not bad. It's been a while since I've tried such a large-scale battle."
Is this woman out of her mind?
She has twelve Pokémon on her side, and she has only released two in front so far. Even if she has defensive moves, they can't block everything.
"MEGA Evolution."
Diantha lightly touched the Key Stone.
Suddenly, a brilliant stream of light appeared before the duo, and the blinding light made it difficult for everyone to see Gardevoir, surrounded by the light.
Gourgeist seemed unfazed, turning around and waiting until Gardevoir had completely completed its evolution before turning back.
The member of the incompetent group in black furrowed his brow. He had only heard about Mega Stones in the news and online, but the combination of Mega Stones, Key Stones, and Gardevoir made him feel that this person in front of him looked very familiar...
There was no time to hesitate; the twelve Pokémon couldn't be commanded one by one. The two simply said to release moves at will, and a sea of moves flew toward Diantha like raindrops.
Lance was brought over by Hawlucha. His area was being searched back and forth by Dragonair and Aerodactyl, and he had not discovered Shiran's reinforcements. So when he saw Hawlucha flying over, he quickly understood Dian tha's situation.
When Lance arrived on Charizard, the scene was somewhat out of control.
Although there was black mist everywhere on the ground, it was clear from the air that Diantha's MEGA Gardevoir was surrounded by several Pokémon, and in the gaps between the continuous Shadow Balls, it was also using Dazzling Gleam to finish off opponents.
Swalot, trying to escape, was lifted into the air by Gardevoir, while Dustox was directly struck by a Shadow Ball and lost its fighting ability.
Ursaring, attempting to resist, was intercepted by Gourgeist before it could get close to Gardevoir.
Gourgeist's Leech Seed wrapped around Ursaring tightly, leaving it to suffer in place, while it casually hit the Steel-type Onix with a Fire Blast and ensnared it with vines, lightly flicking it to unleash Power Whip.
Lance's Charizard merely added a finishing touch; counting the eleven Pokémon sprawled on the ground, he looked at the unscathed Gardevoir and Gourgeist and felt that it seemed like it didn't matter whether he was there or not.
"You are right; Pokémon battles are not child's play."
Diantha stared at the members of the incompetent group left behind after the black mist dissipated, suddenly stunned.
"Lance, hurry and chase; one got away!"
As soon as Lance landed, he heard Diantha's voice and jumped back onto Charizard, flying toward the woods ahead.
Gardevoir and Gourgeist gathered all the Pokémon together, then tossed in the despairing Pokémon Trainer, watching their every move from both sides.
Cynthia reported that there was no movement on her end, and Lance's three Pokémon patrolled the skies without discovering any issues. The battle on her side had also concluded.
Luther's message came through; he had just defeated Cloyster but was unable to stop Kecleon from starting a fire, and parts of the Pokémon Center were burning. Now his Pokémon were putting out the fire while he was chasing after Shiran's fleeing direction.
Shiran's escape route happened to lead toward Oleander's watch.
The previously calm weather suddenly began to rain; at first, it was just a few light raindrops, but soon it turned into sheets of rain, making it feel as if the sky had broken open.
Diantha stood in the rain, feeling a sudden chill.
Rainy Weather, yet another Rainy Weather!
Diantha glanced at the eleven Pokémon lying on the ground, unable to recover, and at the Pokémon Trainer with a face full of despair. After tossing out an Aurorus to ensure everything was secure, she quickly headed toward Oleander.
