Sir Krus invited Dean and the others into his cars. The car was big enough to accommodate everyone. The back of the car had no roof, so it was like they were sitting in the out as they drove to the hospital. It was silent, too silent. They all exchanged stares yet no one dared to utter a word. Well, this changed when Si Krus began speaking: 'When I talked before, mentioning ghouls you didn't react. It's like you already knew what I mean by that. I am curious how much do you all know. Jessie was a police officer. It would have made sense when Sir Krus had asked her, instead he was expecting a reply or rather explanation from Dean. Dean's eyes slightly thinned to a line as he stared into Sir Krus face. It seemed like he was searching for something. He sighed and leaned back. 'To say the truth, we don't know much about the situation. We got our intel more or less from Jessie!' Everyone turned to her. Jessie was indeed awake, but she was not present. She was repeating the events of the police station. Her face was dark and her muscles tense. She gnashed her teeth. Larah was sitting to her right. She prodded her shoulder. No reaction. She prodded again and Jessie finally found back to them. 'Did I miss out something?', Jessie inquired. Sir Krus nodded. 'Yes, you did. Seems like you have your own demon to fight. I just hope that rage is directed at the enemies!' A faint grin showed up on the face of Jessie. Cracking her fingers she replied: 'You bet!' The car halted. The path ahead was thinner and the countless people at the road side made the advance even harder. So, they left the car and continued by foot. Dean stared at the people in silence, just like the others. 'Why are they here?', Larah wanted to know and her arm around Hope tightened, still in a way to protect the child. The people on the road side were alive but maybe a quick death would have been the better choice. Some looked bad, really bad – Legs gone and for some all the limbs were gone. Was life at this point even worth? Larah glanced to the ground, trying to escape the sight of the miserable people. However, she was still waiting for an answer and the she got her reply. 'Some fled to us, others were found by our people!' Sir Krus' face darkened and because Larah's head was facing down she was able to see Sir Krus tightening his fists and they were damn tight. So tight that blood seeped through his fists. 'It was bad', he went on. 'It was truly bad! We lost a good part of our people. But this stops now! HE halted and turned to the Dean and the others. Larah rose her head. Everyone around Sir Krus turned silent. His presence alone, his expression forced an unknowns strain upon everyone. And he repeated with an even stronger voice and his face was damn determined: 'This stops now! As long I am alive it does not matter if I lose my arms! It does not matter if I lose my legs. Damn these fuckers can even get my eyes! I won't stop! Until my last breath I will commit my life to one task – Destroying my enemies!' He glanced around noticing the many eyes which were rigged at him. People had lost hope and now they saw something. That light might have been faint but it was there. 'Are you with me? I don't care if old, woman or whatever! I ask you again! Are you with me?' The people shouted, they rejoiced, they cried, damn they let their emotions lose and that even affected Dean and his group. Before they knew, they too had joined the yelling. Hope woke up. And she did not cry. O, she laughed. Joy filled all so small corners and their scream shook the earth. Sir Krus came closer to Dean and the others. 'I saw the fighting spirit in you. Normally you have to wait before entering the hospital. There are a lot of people waiting. But with me you have priority. After that you will head to the base. You've already faced these ghouls and you seem to know one or two things. Thus, I think you should be included in the briefing. Humanity will hit back!'
Dae opened his eyes. The wind brought some freshness to him and kissed his body. The weather was good, well aside the red moon. He saw no tree towering into the air. They must have left the forest. In addition, his had been placed on something and that something felt nice and soft and bouncy and – 'Wait', Dae uttered and rose up. And when he turned around he spotted Rayshel who was grinning. 'And did my booby feel great?' 'The fuck! Why did you do that?' Rayshel also raised, shrugging her shoulders. 'I mean you are going to be my future husband! I might as well start behaving like a wife!' Shaking his head, Dae shook his head. This whole situation was too much for him. That's when he noted the little number of soldiers that had survived the battle against the 5 Legends. 'Damn!', he cursed. 'They really did a thing with us! How long was I out Rayshel?' 'One day. You kept muttering something in your sleep. Don't tell me. You were dreaming about us?' 'Damn no, I wasn't. I saw some of Adam's memory. And if we don't stop', he pointed to the moon, 'whatever that is supposed to be we'll gonna be in some deep shit. And trust me it gets worse than the 5 Legends!' 'I see! So you saw the place where you master was! Did you also see other things?' 'Yes, I did. I saw the reason why my master and the other Legends turned to ghouls. That's how these monsters are called. It was a soldier, a soldier named Voltra!'
