There's a constant pattering, what is that?
Ugh... I feel hot.
Leaning up on the bed, I don't seem to be on my own. The room is dark, its midday, but the cloudy day creates a gray atmosphere. Rain beats down against the window.
"You're finally awake." I hear a monotone voice beside me.
Looking over, it's Renna. She's changed out of her racesuit, wearing a loose red shirt and blue short shorts.
"Oh...yea... I am."
She continues lying down, looking up at the ceiling with her single not voice. "What? why do you sound so uncertain?"
"I'm just a little confused why you aren't? Did anyone tell you what happened?"
Her voice sounds tired, almost dismissive. "Yea, you played hero and saved me. If you're looking for a thank you. Then, thank you."
"I wasn't... but that doesn't sound very genuine. Is something wrong?"
"Do you know why salmon swim upstream?"
(·•᷄ࡇ•᷅ ) "Uh... I think it's to lay eggs."
"But why go through the trouble of going upstream?"
"Nicer views?"
