"How is he?" Diana asked the moment the doctor came out of the ward.
The doctor sighed and said, "He is alright." It's good you brought him here on time because if you hadn't, he might not have made it."
Diana's legs trembled at the doctor's words, and luckily Lucas was there to hold her.
"But you are certain that he is alright now, right?" Lucas asked.
"Yes, I am certain. In fact, you can go see him now if you want." The doctor said, and then excused himself.
"I will go check on him." Diana said, and before she could even take a step, Maxwell coldly stopped her.
"I will be the one to speak to him first. Besides, I doubt you can meet him without hiding your relief about the possibility of Henrick's demise."
Diana looked at Chairman Ashford in disbelief but didn't say anything, nor did she try to enter the ward again.
As Maxwell entered his son's ward, he sighed when he saw his only child on an oxygen mask.
"How are you feeling?" he asked.
