Seeing that Hue wasn't saying anything, the Alpha King's temper was about to flare. But then he reminded himself that Alpha Maxwell's condition wasn't his business, and it wouldn't be wise to meddle in matters that didn't concern him. After all, he was the one currently in need of their help to learn more about Addison's condition—so it was better to treat them well.
When Hue noticed the Alpha King had stopped pressing him and instead ordered the healer and doctor to check on Alpha Maxwell, he realized he had been pardoned and didn't need to explain further.
"Your Majesty, it's alright. Alpha Maxwell just needs some rest and he'll be fine. It's a matter of his constitution—he's already used to this," Hue explained calmly. When the Alpha King glanced at him, Hue's expression didn't show any sign of deceit. The medical staff, seeing this, didn't intervene further and simply monitored Alpha Maxwell briefly before turning their full attention back to Addison.
