Chapter 147 - Chapter 146: An Unexpected Hit

For Ryuji, this was undoubtedly good news. Miss Jen's appearance might not be anything special, but she was useful.

No need for cleanup, no complaints, and her feel was exactly the same as a real human! Spotless, sterile, and disease-free—what more could he ask for relaxation than this?

Casually, he placed his hand on Miss Jen's chest, kneading her ample breasts as he glanced over her interface options.

"Huh... There's even a quest system?"

Seeing the familiar mission menu pop up, Ryuji scratched his chin thoughtfully.

"Wait... Don't tell me 7 Days to Die-style missions will start spawning in this world too?"

Uncertain, he removed his hand from his chin and resumed fondling Jen's chest. For some reason, he felt like his thoughts sped up the moment his hands made contact with her breasts. Of course, this wasn't due to some external brain-boosting effect—it was probably just because he was in a better mood.

Opening the mission screen, he saw several interesting quests:

•Collect World Fragments — Each fragment grants 1 World Power. You don't need to hand in the collected world power, just store them in the Fire Keeper Space to count. (Repeatable).

•Accumulate 10 World Power — Rewards 10 Energy Points. (Repeatable).

•Collect Specialties from Different Worlds — Converts to skill books of different levels based on Specialties. Please note that you need to activate the 7 Days to Die world rules before you can use them. (Repeatable).

•Collect Materials — For every 100 million cubic meters of materials, you will be rewarded with 10,000 Energy Points. (Repeatable).

•Trade World Power — Every 100 World Power grants 500,000 Energy Points. (Repeatable).

•Kill monsters from the 7 Days to Die world— Each monster killed grants 1 Energy Point. (Repeatable).

•Retrieve Mutated World Power — A part of the world power with perfect rules has been taken to other worlds. Recover it to receive 1 year of Conceptual Lifespan per point. (Current reward: 83 years.) (Repeatable).

"Hmph... Predictably stingy," Ryuji muttered, frowning. "Feels like there's something I'm not being told. And what the hell is 'conceptual lifespan'?"

That fifth option especially—trading 100 points of World Power for only 500,000 energy—felt like an outright scam. Even worse than money laundering, he thought. Just daylight robbery.

Sure, World Power might not have been something he was supposed to wield, but fleecing him like this? Absolutely unacceptable.

Still, the third mission caught his eye. It required spending some energy to activate the system, but in return, he could get skills. It reminded him of those skill books that dropped after zombie hordes. He wasn't sure what counted as a "Specialties" but if it worked...

"...Would Elsa's hair count?"

Ryuji had to admit, he did covet Elsa—not just her body, but her magic and power.

If sacrificing a few strands of her hair could net him ice magic, then that would be a huge win! Sure, it wouldn't be as powerful as hers—probably just some basic frost spell or ice blast—but still, pretty damn cool.

Then he could shout, "Ice and fire combo!" and have a sword that burned on one side and froze on the other. He didn't know if the sword could withstand it, but the image alone was badass.

His gaze then shifted to the seventh mission. Based on the description, it seemed to tie into levels he'd gained in 7 Days to Die. If he remembered correctly, he'd leveled up a lot after some major explosions triggered chain kills.

After hesitating for a moment, he accepted the mission.

A strange sensation immediately washed over him. It felt like a fine layer of dust that had always been clinging to him suddenly vanished. A mysterious force detached from him and flowed somewhere else.

And then he knew—even if the 7 Days to Die world still existed, he'd be starting from scratch next time. No tenfold buffs. Back to zero.

But in exchange, something vague and inexplicable had taken root in his body. He could sense it, manipulate it—even give it to others.

Opening his system interface, he found a new skill added to his list:

•Conceptual Lifespan: This is a universal, cross-world form of life energy. It is a manifestation of World Power, a blessing acknowledged by the world itself. You may use it on yourself or on others, as long as they are not stronger than you. Physical contact is not required—as long as you are in the same world, and you desire it, you can bestow life.

Even life lost thousands or millions of years ago can be restored with this gift.

While the Conceptual Lifespan lasts, no matter what happens, the recipient cannot die. They will survive even the most miraculous of circumstances.

The revived will return in full health; those without bodies will gain a new, undamaged one, free of illness, curses, or injury.

People who have life are given this lifespan and will use it first. As long as the granted lifespan continues, they will not die no matter what happens.

You may also apply this gift to objects, rendering them indestructible for the duration.

Warning: This cannot protect against the power of rules and attacks from the world. Do not challenge the will of the world just because you hold this power. It offers no defense against higher-order forces. In the endless, dark Sea of Worlds, lifespan means nothing.

This is the power of miracles—the power of the world itself. Use it wisely.

Because once life is given, it cannot be reclaimed. But while you can't take it back, you can choose to end it yourself.

Current reserve: 83 years.

Based on your control over World Power, you can exchange 10 World Power for 1 year of Conceptual Lifespan.

"...What the hell—this isn't 'lifespan,' this is literal resurrection magic!" Ryuji blurted out, stunned.

Sure, you couldn't revoke it once given, but it had zero side effects. Compared to every other resurrection techniques!

And according to his feeling, it was obvious that he was asked to collect the power from the girls who had leveled up in the 7 Days to Die world!

Which meant—

Ryuji grinned.

He could probably get at least few hundred of years of Conceptual Lifespan just by leeching off their residual power! As long as he didn't piss off the world itself or commit suicide, he could live for hundreds of years.

Of course, although the condition is not guaranteed, living long is a good thing in itself!

And best of all?

This thing can be used to pick up girls and exchange for countless benefits!

He could reunite grieving girls with their lost loved ones. He could revive people who held ancient secrets and grant them their final wish, securing inheritances, treasures, or alliances.

Of course, there was one catch—once granted, the life couldn't be taken back. And if he revived someone annoying, he'd have to personally take care of it.

But those were just minor drawbacks.

Ryuji would never be that careless. He'd always hated those cliché "power brings trouble" tropes—where a protagonist's abilities constantly cause problems they can't solve.

So without hesitation, Ryuji granted himself ten years of Conceptual Lifespan.

Because... well, he was a coward.

The moment he did, he felt something settle into him. An awareness. He knew—down to the second—how long he had left to live.

"This... kinda feels like psychological torture," he muttered. "Most people can't face their mortality head-on like this."

And then, predictably, his thoughts drifted.

"Hm... what if I told Elsa I could reunite her with her parents for two years? Would that get me to home base with her?"

The idea was insane—but maybe worth a try. He was also planning to visit Tsunade soon and help her come to terms with her brother's death.

If that succeeded... and she was grateful enough to spend a few nights with him—or even agree to stay with him forever—he could easily gift her little brother a full, healthy life until he turned eighty.

A sly grin crept across his face.

Sure, it cost 10 World Power per year of life. But a single encounter with Seria yielded 10,000 energy points—and Tsunade wasn't far behind. That much energy could buy him one World Power easily.

And if Tsunade felt some competition, maybe that would even help his harem plans.

He felt a little guilty.

But... Hinata, Ino, Anko, Kurenai—he really liked all of them!

And Tenten? She was adorable.

"Tsunade, you don't want your little brother to die young, do you?" Ryuji muttered

"No use thinking about that now. Let's focus on the third objective. Tonight, I'll test if Elsa's hair works."

Ryuji nodded to himself—only to freeze as the sound of footsteps echoed down the corridor.

He quickly withdrew his hand from the interface and turned his head. Coming toward him were Toph, rubbing her lips as if she had just eaten something sour, and Elsa, holding a bottle of water.

Because neither of them could directly interact with this world, Ryuji had told them to conserve their energy and wait quietly. Judging from the water in Elsa's hand, though, she must've insisted on bringing him a drink.

"Ah-ha! I knew it—slacking off again, aren't you, Ryuji?"

Toph placed her hands on her hips, striking a triumphant pose, while Elsa tilted her head curiously toward the stranger standing nearby.

"Mr. Ryuji, is that someone like us?" she asked, pointing towards Jen.

"Huh?"

Toph turned toward Jen too, but then suddenly stiffened. Though she could hear two heartbeats and breathing, one of them—besides Ryuji's—was completely untraceable to her earth bending senses. It was as if the person simply… didn't exist.

The realization made her step back instinctively.

"I ran into something pretty interesting," Ryuji said, his tone casual. "That's a trader I summoned—the one I told you two about."

Elsa's eyes lit up in surprise. "A trader? Can we use it? I still have some money on me."

"No idea," Ryuji shrugged. "Come try it and find out."

Curious, Elsa walked over to the trader. But the moment she got close, she stopped and looked confused.

"…I can't see anything," she said. "Just her body. The interface or whatever you're talking about—none of it is visible to me."

"I see… So I'm the only one who can interact with her," Ryuji muttered, rubbing his chin. "No big deal. Food won't be a problem anymore. The stuff is exchanged using energy points—pretty cheap too. One point gets you a chunk of meat."

He tapped a few buttons and traded some of his energy points for food, handing it to Elsa.

In this world, food wasn't just nourishment—it could conceptually heal injuries. With that, Ryuji had long stopped bothering with mundane ingredients.

"One point for a piece of meat, huh?" Elsa repeated, turning the warm food in her hand. "That means… the longer we stay here, the slower we can return."

She stared at the meat thoughtfully, eyes reflecting a flicker of resolve. After spending a while experimenting alongside Ryuji to see how the female trader functioned, she and Toph eventually returned to the shelter he had dug out for them.

Ryuji, however...

He pulled out his dick, aiming it straight at Jen.

Too long... All this time, it'd been nothing but hands and mouths—he'd almost forgotten what a pussy feels like.

"Here I come!"

A grin spread across his face as he waited for Elsa and Toph to leave. The moment they were gone, he yanked down both his and the merchant's pants, diving straight into his "exercise."

Pure, indulgent pleasure—he didn't stop until nightfall, finally returning to Elsa and Toph in high spirits, ready to cook for them.

But later, as he lay by the entrance on guard duty dozing off as usual...

A sensation—cold, soft, and deliberate—roused him.

Blinking awake, he found Elsa kneeling over him, her silk-gloved hand gliding along his hardened cock. When she noticed his eyes open, she leaned in, capturing his lips in a deep kiss.

He wanted to ask what was happening, but before he could speak, the tip of his dick was pressed against something warm, wet, and impossibly tight—yet the owner of this place, clearly inexperienced, fumbled helplessly, unable to guide him in.

For a split second, Ryuji hesitated.

But the way Elsa's tongue danced against his, shy yet eager, erased all doubt. Gently, he gripped her hips, aligning her perfectly—

Then, with a smooth push, he sheathed himself fully inside her.

And he also felt the coexistence of cold and warmth.

...Absolutely fucking amazing.
