XYZ-Dragon Cannon, summon!
Kohinata Seika's eyes shimmered from outside the arena.
Thinking back, although she had taken a severe beating earlier and was furious afterward, throughout the entire duel, the only monster bouncing around on the opponent's field seemed to be an 800 ATK submarine, and the only 8-star boss monster that appeared was on her side of the field.
She hadn't encountered a monster with such overwhelming oppressive power as this.

He sent a card from his hand to the Graveyard.
"I discard one card from my hand, and destroy your face-down 'Cyber Heroine'!"
Ammunition loaded, energy charged, target locked – the twin cannons of the Dragon Cannon roared, unleashing dazzling flames!
The students once again held their breath. This was another turn that would decide the victor; the face-down Cyber Heroine was Asuka's only defense on the field. If it was cleared here, the outcome would be decided by the Dragon Cannon's subsequent direct attack!
"Not so fast," Asuka shouted. "Activate face-down card! Trap Card – Angel Burst! When your opponent activates a Spell, Trap, or Monster Effect that includes 'destroying a monster on the field,' that effect is negated and the card is destroyed!" (Anime Card)
This was Asuka's signature counter-trap from the anime.
Asuka smiled faintly.
He fell for it.
This trap would complete her desperate comeback. If the opponent lost their Dragon Cannon here, their field would be empty next turn.
This trap would create the opening for her to make a desperate comeback!
"Then I chain my face-down card," You Xuan calmly flipped his last back row card. "Continuous Trap – Super Shell!
After this card is activated, it can be equipped to any monster in the 'VWXYZ' series. The equipped monster gains 500 ATK and is unaffected by any Spell, Trap, or Monster Effects from your opponent!" (Anime Card)
This was also a VWXYZ series exclusive equip card used by Manjoume in the anime, a powerful protective shell that granted complete immunity.
Of course, it could still be defeated by battle, or by destroying this equip card by clearing the back row first.

Asuka gritted her teeth.
Her reversal move, her trump card for a desperate comeback, had been countered again…
"Then I activate the Trap 'Waboku'," Asuka declared. "This turn, my monsters cannot be destroyed by battle, and all battle damage I take becomes 0."
Waboku could not prevent monster effect destruction, so it couldn't protect Cyber Heroine from the Dragon Cannon's cannon fire. But it could still buy her one more turn of survival.
"Then I set two cards face-down on the field, and end my turn."
Having successfully endured another turn, Asuka took a deep breath, clenching her fists.
She couldn't let the opponent dictate her pace…
When she had observed his duel during the entrance exam, she had vaguely felt that this duelist was different from others.
His tactics gave a first impression of being opportunistic, of avoiding direct confrontation. But even then, she could vaguely sense there was more to it.
Now, clashing with him personally, she was even more certain of that impression.

Appearing in the GX manga, this was another classic, powerful drawing engine. Naturally, You Xuan, having been at the academy for not too long, had already acquired such a divine artifact.
However, unlike many other powerful draw cards in the anime, this one carried the risk of providing resources to the opponent; theoretically, it was a one-for-three for him, while the opponent got three free cards.
Since the opponent so warmly invited him to draw more cards, You Xuan naturally didn't stand on ceremony and drew his cards.
"You are indeed very strong, You Xuan-kun. Perhaps I truly cannot defeat you… however, my duelist's soul will not allow me to surrender here!"
Asuka shouted.

With a rumbling change in the field, a massive church rose from the ground, countless roses falling amidst the sacred white light streaming through its windows.
"The effect of 'Ritual Sanctuary' activates! By discarding one Spell Card from my hand, I can add one LIGHT Ritual Monster or Ritual Spell Card from my Deck to my hand."
Asuka sent a card from her hand to the Graveyard, then pulled out her Deck to search.
"I add the Ritual Monster 'Cyber Angel Benten' from my Deck to my hand!"
You Xuan raised an eyebrow.
Finally, it's coming: Cyber Angels.
Cyber Angels were a Ritual Deck used by Asuka in the GX manga, but they weren't released as actual cards until ten years later. So, it was understandable that this Deck's power level was quite advanced for GX.
The actual card version of Cyber Angels was significantly strengthened, with many new cards not present in the original anime, and some monsters gaining powerful additional effects, making them a rare series where the real-life cards were much stronger than their anime counterparts.
However, even the original version was already quite strong in the current environment.
"The real duel begins now!" Asuka declared. "Watch closely, You Xuan-kun, this is… my full power!"
