From the beginning of time, dragons and humans had never gotten along. The heavens, full of immortal gods, had always looked down on them as foul beings, and such disdain does not dissipate easily.

After being unwillingly banished from his sect and confined to Wei Mountain, the demonic cultivator flees in search of a spirit pearl, fabled to be found in the barren wasteland of the West Desert. Said pearl would grant one the power of 500 years of cultivation.
