Golden light erupted from the arena floor in a circular pattern around Grim, forming a barrier that restricted his movement. The technique wasn't directly damaging, but it limited Grim's ability to maneuver, forcing him to expend more energy to break free.
Trapped within the containment field, Grim assessed his options. Breaking the field would drain his mana, but remaining inside would leave him vulnerable to Max's next attack. He closed his eyes briefly, centering himself.
