Chapter 34 - Chapter 34: Welcome to Alpha academy!

"Both?"

"When we combine like that, we could decide to let an independent consciousness control the 7 Day Wolff form, or choose anyone of us to be the prime consciousness. Whoever takes the position of prime consciousness will command the body while the others serve as support and help him stabilize his power.

This is because when we are in the 7 Day Wolf form, it puts a lot of pressure on the mental energy of the prime consciousness. If the rest of us aren't there to support and help him stabilize all that power then he won't be able to fight at full capacity. Also we can't stay in that form forever, or else if the mental energy of the prime consciousness is exhausted the one controlling the body could lose consciousness.

With the prime consciousness out of commission the 7 Day Wolf form will instantly dispel, I don't need to explain what kind of danger we would be in if that ever happened while we are in a fight. And with one of us unconscious the situation could turn dire quickly."

Drake nodded, approving their caution, he also admired how even in that giant form they used team work to control the power of the 7 Day Wolf. He could imagine just how much pressure a person would be placed under if they suddenly had to control seven times their power.

"As for the independent consciousness, we don't really like to use it since once we let the independent consciousness take control we all go to sleep and only wake up after the transformation is undone which would mean all our mental energy's are either exhausted or there is no one else to fight."

You guys did not have to tell me that last part!

"No we have to tell you that because its important you know to run once we are using the independent consciousness or you could be in danger."

Drake felt a chill run up his spine. That was true, especially since he was their roommate.

"Luckily, we have Wolf form to help us recover faster!"

'Wolf form? That's right they belong to the werewolf clan.' He thought and asked "How powerful would you be after transforming to wolf form."

They instantly grinned at this and they all raised a hand. "5 times!"

'5 times, that's insane! Doesn't that mean they could fight a 3 Star Mage if they went wolf while in 7 Day wolf Form?'

Drake and his new roommates had a long conversation and it wasn't log before Sylvia and the twins arrived to invite Drake out to explore the academy grounds with them.

Of course Drake extended the invitation to his roommates, and as you can expect the seven wolf cubs were thrilled to be invited and readily accepted.

Sylvia and the twins naturally welcomed the idea of having more company.

They were dumbfound when they found out that the Wolff brothers managed to cheat the system and got posted to the same room.

How big exactly was Alpha academy?

Sanctuary city had over 500 miles diameter, yet the main city only occupied about one fifth of that territory with the rest being occupied by Alpha academy. So you could imagine just how big the Academy was.

The seven brothers had grown up under the protection of their grandfather so they were very honest and simple minded. When Sylvia and the twins noticed this, they quickly warmed up to them.

This really touched the seven young wolves, the youngsters in their pack mostly looked at them with hostility. so it was a change for them to finally meet others in the younger generation that treated them kindly and with respect and since they were younger than Peter and Paul they also started calling Drake 'Boss'.

Alpha academy had many intriguing sights and entertaining facilities, so the group of teenagers was completely immersed in their tour.

Like one would expect of wolves, the seven Wolff brothers liked fighting. This was something they shared in common to the twins so they decided to spar, team vs team!

The moment Sylvia heard about this she immediately stopped them,

"Why can't we spar? it will only just be for a little bit." Paul was very dissatisfied, she did the same thing when they had wanted to spar with Drake.

"No!"

"Why not? We want to spar too." the Wolff brothers protested.

"Yeah, they want to spar too" Peter also added.

"Peter don't patronize me!" She glared, then turned back to the seven brothers and said. "Don't mind them, Peter is a troublemaker he thrives on seeing the world in conflict and Paul is an absolute muscle head. If you let them influence you, it won't be long before they start teaching you to challenge anybody you run into."

"There is already enough anarchy in the world with Peter an Paul in existence, if seven more are so suddenly added to the mix, it won't be long before the world is plunged into chaos."

Peter and Paul exchanged a hidden glance and they instantly understood what the other was thinking in that moment. 'We have to teach them the right way. For the future we dream of! for our ideal world.'

"What's with that look in your eyes?" Sylvia said having caught that glance the twins exchanged. "You two better not have insane ideas in those devious little heads of yours. Peter I'm talking to you."

"Hey I'm innocent!"

"That is what you always say before you do something big."

"That's not true, this is slander!"

Paul brought them back before they deviated too far. "I think we're getting off topic. Can't we just spar a little it won't be for too long, we won't even use our full strength if you like."

"Are you kidding, what would we do if you guys were to get injured?" she reprimanded fiercely

"We could just go to the Healers back at the palace, they've always been able to fix us up quickly."

"Have you already forgotten that we can't go out of the academy so freely, how do you expect to get to the Healers or do you expect them to come to you? Do you think the academy will permit outsiders to come into the academy so soon after closing the doors? It would take at the very least a month before they star allowing visitors in again."

"Okay then what about the academy's Healers? You can't possibly tell me that there aren't any Healers in the whole Alpha academy."

"It's out of the question."

"But this is how men bond, Boss Tell her!"

Drake had to admit, he really did want to see a fight between the twins and the Wolves. I mean who wouldn't? Besides, he himself was quite warlike.

However, he couldn't do that right now. If he got Sylvia to agree to let them spar, he knew they would definitely take the chance to challenge him.

If that happened he would not be able to say no! If he did fight against them then he would lose. They all called him boss right now. So he definitely could not let himself be defeated. Especially not at their hands.

The problem is that Drake had not been cultivating for long so they were currently much stronger himself.

'This can't keep gong on, I need to get stronger fast. I need to hasten my breakthrough to 2 Star.' He thought.

"Drake?" Sylvia turned to him, as though she wanted him to decide.

"Sorry guys! I understand how you feel, but Sylvia is right. We've only just joined the academy and classes start tomorrow, the start of the term is the most important time for us new students, it would be bad if you can't attend classes because someone got hurt." Drake persuaded them using a convincing reason. He did succeed in doing this.

"Fine, we'll reschedule to a later time!"

The twins said finally relenting. They might have agreed that it currently wasn't the right time to spar but that didn't mean they wouldn't in the future.

Drake stood in a large plaza outside a tall structure. It was a tower that was so tall, it seemed to pierce through the clouds all the way into the sky.

This was sky tower it represented Alpha academy as a pillar of humanity that would always be there to hold the skies up if any threat ever came. Rumor had it that Alpha academies strongest Mages lived at the top of the tower.

It was said that thanks to how high their power level was, they could not live among normal people. This was because the pressuring aura they passively gave off alone was strong enough to crush ordinary people to death, and even lower level Mages could not survive being too close to them. But nobody could confirm if that was really true.

Just how powerful would a guy need to be, to be capable of crushing someone to death with merely their aura.

Suddenly a grand display of lights flashed, and a giant hologram of a silver haired 40ish year old man appeared.

"Good evening students, I am Dean Xavier Ambrose. It is with great pleasure that I welcome he new students into Alpha academy."

Cheers erupted from the entire plaza filled with students.

"Alpha academy is more than just an institute it is a family and everyone that joins this academy is a part of this great family. He paused for a few seconds then continued just like every family we will always protect each other from all outside forces, and we will always help each other grow.

In Alpha academy Mages and non-Mages are not discriminated, you will receive equal rights and treatment.

For Mages, In Alpha academy you will learn how to control your abilities and we will provide the best conditions to help you with that. The non Mages will also be provided with everything needed to groom you into great people that will help to develop humanity.

As you know for every family there must be rules. We encourage competition and friendly exchange between all students and teachers, but you must never under any circumstances maliciously harm any human.

This rule does not just apply to members of the academy but to all humans. For humanity is our root.

Humanity faces the threat of the invasion from the abyss, and everyday many of our kind our family sacrifice themselves to protect us when they fight against the invaders.

I know you all have your own dreams and differences from your different origins but at this stage humanity faces the threat of extinction at any second.

For this reason we must stop fighting against ourselves and instead unite to fight against this outside threat. For ourselves, for our homes, for the future generations yet to be born. for our family!

Humanity First!

It was a welcoming speech but it was also to serve as inspiration, and the Deans words ignited the hearts of all the hot blooded youngsters. Everyone in the plaza, everyone in the academy, everyone in Sanctuary city all roared in response.
