We all know the stories about reinkarnation into some powerfull MC either born as a noble or poor kid who had a luck of having good encounters well lets take it slow this time.
I was born into noble house my father Viscount Mark Mordred Von Serfield than my mother Eleonora Mordred and my older sister Vivienne Mordred. Than there is me 5 year old Evelyn Mordred, I thought I'll have good family but my parents weren't happy with me being born as a girl so instead of going on balls and meeting other nobles. No I was home taking care of household chores all day long in maid uniform.
"When we get back this mansion will be spotless, I don't want to see even a speck of dust."
"Also don't forget to prepare clean clouthes and I better see you waiting in front of the door when we get back so you can take our things."
"Yes ma'am. Yes sir. I will await your arival."
This is how they treat me even when I am their daughter. Classic Cinderella behaviour, but I am not complaining. When I finnish early I mostly sneak into library and learn about magic and this world.
The country I was born to is called Na's Estra. You can find here Humans, Elves, Demihumans, but one race you wouldn't find here are deamons. We don't fight with them nor there is war, but we simply never step into their teritory and vise versa. Anyway during the day when I have free time I go to the city to learn smithing and swordsmanship, thanks to that I can make sure to be ready in case I would need to run away.
Tonight my parents went to coming of age party to capital. Second princess reached the age of fifteen which is age when you can legaly work and attend for higher clasificasion for different jobs. They will be gone for a week so I can take it easy on my work.
"Allright everyone the boss and his family are gonna be gone for a week so we can rest a little and three days before their arival we will start cleaning every corner of the mansion."
/Next day/.
So today I'll head out to the woods and hunt some earth rabbits. In this world the monsters are named after their element of magic.
Earth, Wind, Fire, Water, Light, Darkness or as some say Void or space element. Lastly there is elemental which can use all of them but these monsters are extremely rare as they need to be very high level.
It's possible for human to learn all elements, but it takes a lot of time. I try to learn slowly all elements from basics. Right now I am able to use Light, Water and Fire elements. Mostly because I use them during my work. Fire to cook, Water to take care of the garden and light to heal any bruises or minor wounds. Now I'm learning Wind magic and dark magic at once.
So let's see how many I can find today.
"Mana field. Hmm let's see 1,2,3,4,5...10.
That's good amount for food and I need to prepare them and take out their mana cores."
Every beast have mana core which is colored after their element so Brown, Green, Blue, Orange, Yellow, Black. These can be sold and price go by their level of afinity so from level 10-20 it's 10 silver coins per piece for levels 21-41 it's 20 silver coins per piece and so on for levels above 200 it's 2 gold coins per piece.
Well this hunt was good and took me 5 hours to finnish. Now I'll take them to butcher to prepare and to take the cores. You are probably asking why I don't do it at mansion? Well there is a maid that doesn't like me and if she saw me taking the cores for myself she would report it to my father "Damm snitch.".
This way I can save up something aside in case I would need it. After the preparation of meat and taking extra materials I put materials in item box and cary only meat. This way they don't know I keep materials and cores for myself.
"Everyone I got some meat so let's prepare some food."
"Ohh Evelyn, you always bring us the best ingrediences to eat. I wish our boss would be nice like you.".
"Well I hunted these myself so we all deserve to eat good meals once in a while.".
"Let's get started, today we will cook stew with potatoes.".
The week flew by and we spend last three days cleaning every corner and made sure all beddings are prepared and clean together with all clothes.
"Welcome home Mister Mordred, Miss Mordred, Young lady Mordred. Please let me take care of your luggage. We prepared some refreshments, you must be tired after your long journey from capital.".
"Well I'm glad you know how to do properly your job. Now get out of my sight.".
"Yes sir."
These are the only things I hear from my parents. Do this and that and than get lost untill they need something again. My birthdays are non-existent and only people what congratulate me are other maids and townfolks.
This is how I live from month to month. It's not bad since I get paid 50 silver coins per month.
My birthdays are at May, thanks to that I know that summer weather will come soon and I can make preparations for hot days.
" Evelyn, your birthday will be tomorow and you will be six years old so I am gonna give you my gift early. From today on I asign you as head maid in this mansion. You will overlook the work of other maids and make sure everything is as it's supposed to be. This also means that I'm gonna rise your pay to 100 silver per month. Do not disapoint me Evelyn.".
"Thank you very much for your generosity. I will make sure that everything runs smoothly and is always ready.".
Well this was unexpected. Well at least I'll earn more but, of course I'll have way more work to deal with.
"Maria, call all maids in the mansion please."
"As you wish Evelyn.".
After everyone gathered in main hall I anounced the news.
"From today on I am asigned as headmaid. Every single maid now reports everything to me. This also means that all your work gets reported to me and I am responsible for everything you do or don't do. If you slack of and I'll get scolded for it I'm gonna give you warning, after three warnings I'll fire you on the spot. Do you understand?".
"Yes ma'am!".
"Good now get back to your work, if you need anything than call for me.".
From now on it was far more work than I had before but, also during that time my father and others were often traveling even for a whole month away, thanks to that I was able to train nearly all the time while taking care of the mansion.
/ Six months later /
As the time went by I was able to master all elements on basic level and managed to rise to level 100 swordsmanship. If you think that's high than the most powerfull swordsman is on level 460. From level 1-100 it's begginer levels than intermediate from 100-200, from level 200-300 it's master, 300-400 it's grand master, 400-500 it's king, 500-600 it's High king, 600-700 demigod level and 700-800 it's god level which reached only 4 people in this world.
To raise level of skill isn't difficult for first 3 levels but, after that it's taking a lot of time to move on.
After I reached level 100 I started to focus more on magic to get to intermediate level. Yes I know swordsmanship is important but, magic can help a lot with swordsmanship and mages are more likely to get better jobs than swordsman. Of course there is a lot more different profetions like maid, butcher, butler, acountant, receptionist, adventurer, knight, merchant and so on.
My days are pretty moondane and no one is causing truble since I became headmaid even the one that hates me didn't dared to try anything which really helps me manage all the work.
"Evelyn from now in a month your older sister will be having her coming of age celebration. You will prepare everything and I want it to be the best celebration ever. Prepare the most beautifull dress you can. The best food, music and entertainment for the hosts and also a gifts that will say how rich I'm. Now get lost and start preparing it at once!".
"Yes sir, I'll make sure no one can best my sisters celebration.".
Right after that I started all preparations for celebration. First I need a dress so I prepared some drafts and went to tailor to make it done. Meanwhile other maids started preparing samples for food from deserts to main dish. Others took care of decorations as flowers and tableware. One month went by and everything was ready and aproved by my father and mother.
Of course the maids prepared special uniforms for celebration so everyone were happy with our services.
" So today is coming of age for my sister. Everyone make sure there will be no mistakes and everything must be perfect. Attend to all hosts without a fail and certainly don't make any mistakes. Do you understand?!".
"YES MA'AM!".
"Good, now everyone get to work.".
Celebration went by and no mistakes were made, which made me happy and of course I could finally throw off my anxiety which hunted me for entire month.
"Evelyn. I'm very pleased with your and other maids work on and during this celebration.".
"I humbly accept your praise sir.".
"Now go and do your work as always, I'll call you when I need something."
"Yes, sir.".
Well now I can get back to my routine days, I hope I don't need to do this again.
/Several months later/
"Evelyn your 7th birthdays will be soon and we all have special gift for you. From today on you're no longer needed, so pack your things and leave."
"What? You're kicking me out?".
"Yes, we don't need you anymore. Such a disgrace to our family. Now go and never come back again."
"As you wish."
After that I took my stuff and went to the city where I got two daggers as a sword would be too heavy for me and some things for camping outside. With swordsmanship I got to intermediate level and for magic I was able to get nearly at master level as for my level it went to 230.
Everyone have levels aside from their skills and that marks how strong they are. Of course it's possible to level through your special profesion so it doesn't mean that you are strong but, it can also mean you are very skilled.
