Chapter 7 - The Revelation of the Nine Yin Manual

The next day, when Amelia appeared before Elliott with a radiant smile, holding the "Nine Yin Manual," Elliott was overwhelmed with gratitude. The "Nine Yin Manual" was a martial arts treasure that countless people dreamed of obtaining!

However, Elliott himself was unable to practice it because he was blind. When Amelia discovered his blindness, she felt a complex mix of emotions.

But for the sake of her cousin, she decided to proceed. Observing her mother's behavior, which seemed to favor Elliott more than her cousin, she felt compelled to ensure that Elliott would not surpass her cousin. Thus, she read the contents of the manual aloud to him.

As Elliott listened to the words, his mind drifted back to the moment of his death, waves of profound sorrow assaulting his heart.

Soon, he felt a surge of energy gathering from all parts of his body, coursing through his meridians, and repeatedly cleansing his soul...

Elliott now sensed the energy flowing within him, as he had entered a deep meditative state. Even Amelia, beside him, was surprised that something she had considered insignificant could lead Elliott directly into such profound meditation.

She began to regret whether she had brought the wrong book, but she still hoped that Elliott would not master it.

Perhaps it was just a coincidence. Elliott felt a blockage within his body, a barrier that practitioners must overcome by unblocking the Ren and Du meridians to truly enter the realm of first-rate masters.

Elliott was now in a dilemma. He had followed the instructions from the manual that Amelia had read to him.

When he suddenly felt the presence of true energy within him, he was overwhelmed with comfort and became immersed in this new world, sensing the changes within his body. However, he discovered that his energy was blocked near the Ren and Du meridians.

These acupoints were heavily obstructed, preventing his energy from passing through. Determined, he decided to force his way through these barriers and break open the Ren and Du meridians. He was now preparing for this crucial step.

Amelia rested her face on her hands. Although she was very sleepy, the young boy named Elliott had not yet awakened.

She had initially feared her mother's reprimand, but after her mother saw Elliott, she simply smiled, patted her head, and left without a word.

From her mother's demeanor, Amelia knew that Elliott must have already begun his cultivation. Could this truly be a secret manual?

Amelia glanced at the "Nine Yin Manual" on the table and then at Elliott, who was still deep in meditation. She rolled her eyes in frustration at her own foolishness and angrily threw the book at Elliott.

"Thud!" Elliott spat out a mouthful of blood and collapsed onto the bed. Amelia was startled and immediately shouted, "Mother!"

Scarlett placed Elliott's hand back under the blanket and looked at Amelia, saying, "Amelia, you don't need to come anymore. I will personally read the book to him. You should go back and rest."

Amelia, clearly regretting her earlier actions, nodded obediently and asked, "Mother, how is he?"

Scarlett smiled and replied, "He's fine. The stagnant blood in his body has been expelled. The manual you gave him is indeed very effective. Now, go on."

Amelia was stunned. She had thought Elliott might die, but instead, he had already achieved a minor breakthrough. Feeling somewhat uncomfortable, she said, "Mother, I'll go tidy up the manual and then bring it to you. The pages are scattered." Scarlett glanced at the damaged book and nodded. Amelia then picked up the book and left.
