Pov: Leo
Leo's eyes were red from all the crying over the last few days, they were even burning, but he got into the car after the conversation with Jasper. Oliver was sitting in the back seat. "Are you buckled up yet?" Leo asked as he fastened his own seatbelt and closed the door behind him.
Leo looked at Oliver in the rear-view mirror and nodded. "Good, then it's time to go home to Christopher. Remember not to tell him anything about what you've heard today." A smile crossed Oliver's face slightly and he nodded again.
"Let's love Christopher very much for the next few weeks, shall we?" "Yes!" Oliver replied a little louder. Leo drove off.
As soon as they turned into the street, Leo noticed that there was a caravan of cars in front of their house. He raised an eyebrow skeptically, turned the car around and parked it at a certain distance from the house.
"Dad, do we have visitors?" Oliver asked excitedly. "Not that I know of, but it looks like we've got a big visitor." Judging by the brands, license plates and the number of cars, Leo guessed that Christopher's parents had found him.
He really thought long and hard in the car about whether he should get involved, whether they should go to the house at all or wait until the situation had resolved itself. But he decided to take Oliver in his arms and go to the house.
To be honest, he was too curious about what was going on inside to wait around. There were a lot of people, mainly bodyguards, right outside the apartment, from what Leo could see. He cheated his way past the people with Oliver on his arm. "Excuse me, but I live here," he said, pushing past the broad men in black uniforms, but was stopped when he was just outside the apartment door because the bodyguards wouldn't let him get any closer.
So he listened to the angry conversation that seemed to be going on between Christopher, Christopher's mother and father. "I'll say it again," Christopher hissed loudly. "I'm not going anywhere. Haven't you learned from this?" "But Christopher, my child. We need you, your family needs you." "You can kiss my ass. I'm tired of letting you control my life like this. You can disinherit me, I don't care," Christopher shrugged. "I. Don't. Fucking. Care. Christopher tried to push the front door shut, but his father put his foot between them.
"Don't be so selfish, Christopher." "The ones being selfish here are all you." "We're just getting back the family's most important treasure, what's ours, and that's your life. You have by far the best dragon blood in our family. Don't act like that," his father said bluntly, without any emotion.
"I'm not an object. Just fuck off, I want nothing to do with you." Christopher's gaze happened to fall on Leo, who was standing in the crowd. Leo looked him straight in the eye. Christopher stepped out and walked towards Leo, pushing whoever was standing there out of the way and putting his arm around Leo.
"I have my own life and my own family now." Leo looked at Christopher in surprise as he gave him a kiss on the forehead. Oliver just watched the whole thing in silence and said, "Dad, I'm hungry."
Christopher's family looked extremely confused. They stared first at Leo and then at Oliver. "He looks like Christopher as a child...," said the mother, slightly upset when she saw Oliver. "Did you... No, he doesn't have violet eyes, it can't be Christopher's son..." "But the resemblance is striking...," added Christopher's father. They both nodded in unison.
Oliver just yawned; the comments didn't affect him at all, after all, he knew the truth. Leo grabbed Christopher's hand and pulled him past the others back to the front door. "Primary, even if it doesn't look like it, it's my son," Leo said calmly. The eye drops Jasper had made were a real blessing, otherwise Leo would probably have lost it at that moment.
The parents looked stunned and confused, but Leo just pushed the door shut behind them. General Wollseif's foot was still between them, but Leo was stronger than him and so he pulled his foot away. "Definitely an Alpha too," Leo heard Christopher's father say before he locked the door behind them several times.
"Well, they shouldn't get on our nerves for now," Leo grumbled and immediately began to heat up the food that Berta had prepared during the day.
"...I'm sorry," Christopher grumbled. "Sorry for what? You're really apologizing too much right now."
"For my parents. That you're being dragged into this again." Leo shrugged his shoulders. "Never mind, it's too late for all that. I'm already involved in everything anyway. There's no way around it now. After all, we're a family now too..." Short pause "...according to you," Leo added.
Christopher looked up, one irritated look following the other. "Father, mother, child?" Christopher asked, slightly agitated. Leo smiled wryly. "Whatever." After all, Leo had now finally decided that he wanted to play an intact family for at least the next few weeks.
"Would you like to sleep in my bed with me then, dear father?" Leo said with a slightly ironic tone in his voice, although he was serious. Christopher, who was helping him set the table, dropped his cutlery on the floor. "What?!" Christopher looked at Leo, even more confused.
"Are you serious now? Are you ill? Are you going to die?" "Calm down, you don't have to if you don't want to," Leo rolled his eyes, but laughed slightly. "Yes, yes, yes, of course I want to." Christopher picked up the cutlery again. "Well then, why don't you just say so?"
"That fucking statement just didn't sit well with you, don't blame me. You're always pushing me away from you, especially after the shit I did to you, and now all of a sudden you're letting me into your private space? And you're surprised that I'm fucking surprised again?" Leo sighed. "Touché." Leo sat Oliver down in his chair, who listened to the conversation with a gentle smile.
"Can I call Christopher dad too then?" Oliver now joined in the conversation, his eyes wide. Leo faltered briefly, but left the answer to Christopher. Christopher also seemed to falter in his movement. He looked at Leo first. Leo just shrugged his shoulders and signaled: 'As you like.' After Leo's confirmation, Christopher hesitantly said to Oliver: "If...you want me to, I'll be happy to be your dad Christopher."
Oliver couldn't hold back his joy. He knew that Christopher really was his father, so he was all the more pleased that he could now officially live it out. "It's only in public that I want things to stay the same. Otherwise it could lead to misunderstandings and a lot of stress, with your fans and also with your family."
Christopher was indeed sympathetic. "I guess you're right about that." "Hehe, Papa Christopher, hehe," Oliver grinned quietly to himself and repeated it over and over again. He probably liked the whole thing.
"I guess that's settled then. I've heard that you also do a lot when you're a family. So let's do a lot together in the near future, shall we?" Leo added.
Christopher was increasingly surprised, but he simply accepted his blessing. They ate together, put Oliver to bed together and then went to the bedroom together.
Despite the events of the previous day, Leo approached Christopher and began to play with Christopher's crotch on his own, dominating him. Christopher felt like he was no longer living in reality, but he just accepted it. He would savor his time with Leo as much as he could, he just hoped it would last forever.
And so the next few weeks dragged on. The three of them grew closer and closer, they really did seem like a family, they went to the movies, to the playground, shopping and so on and so forth. They got a lot of disapproving looks, were sometimes harassed, Leo and Oliver were even spat at once, but Leo managed to put up with it for a while, while Oliver didn't give a shit. He was glad to have a normal family like the other children for once, even if he knew it was only for a short time.
When Benjamin found out at work that Christopher and Leo had become close and were a couple, he withdrew a little, but he hadn't given up. He was just waiting for an opportunity if the relationship didn't work out.
Benjamin's ex-husband didn't officially show his face again, but Leo and Christopher noticed that he was secretly trying to watch them and, after catching him in the act, they called the police and had a restraining order issued.
Meanwhile, Leo noticed slight physical changes in himself over the weeks, which indicated that he was indeed carrying a child. This time he didn't feel nauseous yet, but his strength left him more quickly this time and his abdomen showed a slight bulge much earlier, and this time his dreams also became more frequent, but unfortunately didn't provide any information.
And as feared, Leo was given a mission the day before his appointment with Jasper, which he was to set off on the following week.
As the appointment drew closer hour by hour, even though Leo already knew the answer, he became more and more nervous. As with the last appointment, Leo took Oliver with him. In fact, he had already secretly packed his and Oliver's bags and hidden them under a flap in the back of the trunk so that, if it was confirmed that he was pregnant, they could get out of there without Christopher noticing.
Leo sat in the waiting room with Oliver on his lap, trembling, his legs swaying, Oliver excitedly clinging to his father and waiting for the results of the examination. On the one hand, he really wanted to have a sibling, but on the other, it also meant that they would have to leave Christopher. Both options were good and bad at the same time.
When everyone had left the waiting room, Jasper came out and waved them both into the examination room. As a matter of routine, Leo lay down on the couch and unbuttoned his shirt to reveal his abdomen. "Oh, you can already see something, I think we can save ourselves the 'if' question," Jasper gushed.
"Haha...," Leo laughed nervously, but it was nothing more than he had already thought. The cold feeling from the ultrasound machine and the gel made him shiver. Jasper pulled it over his abdomen a little before turning the monitor towards Leo and placing Oliver on Leo's legs on the gurney.
"So..." Leo already knew the answer and seeing the monitor only confirmed it. After all, he knew what a developing fetus looked like from his pregnancy with Oliver. But something looked different. "Congratulations. You're actually pregnant and with twins to boot." Irritated and slightly shocked, Leo looked at Jasper.
"Two more little monsters." Meanwhile, Jasper tidied up again and got Leo's passport ready. Leo got dressed again and took a deep breath - so really. Pregnant... Yay... - he swallowed hard.
"I'm having two little siblings?" Oliver's eyes sparkled, but tears also gathered in his eyes. He half knew the consequences of his father's pregnancy, at least that they would have to leave Christopher, and Jonathan and Mina.
Leo took another breath, pulled Oliver close and tousled his hair. "Are you all right, sweetheart?" Oliver's tears ran down his cheeks. "Mhm," he nodded, but cried bitterly. "I'm going to be a big brother, I wanted little siblings, so I'm taking responsibility for this," Oliver sobbed.
"I'm sorry..." "Mhm," Oliver shook his head. "You have nothing to be sorry for, Dad. It's all right." Leo would be lying if he said it didn't make his chest hurt incredibly to see Oliver crying like that and to know that he and Oliver wouldn't see Christopher ever again. He bit his lower lip, but forced a smile.
"We'll manage, like we usually do, okay?" Oliver nodded. "Yeah, we'll manage."
"Now that you've spoken, let me interrupt you for a moment," Jasper cleared his throat briefly. "With other patients with twins at this stage, I would add that it's possible that one of them will go missing, but we know from Oliver that it's highly unlikely. But it will probably be more draining for you. You'll lose more of your abilities over the time you're pregnant as they absorb more and more of them."
Leo nodded. "I know. I was wondering why I'm barely able to use my abilities now. But that explains it." "Yes, but you should still be careful at the beginning. The two of them are probably little monsters too, but there will be instability at first."
Jasper had explained to Oliver a long time ago why he called him a little monster, namely because of the passive ability to be virtually or even completely invulnerable, as that was what the combination of Leo's and Christopher's genetic produced.
Leo nodded and stood up, with Oliver in his arms:" I understand. I'll take care of myself and my three children." His free hand lingered on his abdomen.
"Dad, I want to go to the store opposite, I want a little present for my siblings."
"Isn't that a bit early?" Leo objected. "But if we move, there might not be a store like that, I know the store and I know what I want to buy for my siblings, from my pocket money of course," Oliver nodded naturally, his tears slowly drying.
Leo sighed. He would do Oliver this favor of course, after all, the situation was probably the hardest for him and it was true, the store across the street was a store full of toys for every age group, where he had been with Oliver and Christopher quite often lately.
"If that's what you want, sweetheart. Then this is our last venture in this town. I simply can't refuse you." Leo's heart was heavy, he had a lump in his throat and Jasper also looked very sad. He walked up to Leo and gave him another hug.
"I'm sorry I can't do anything for you this time." He patted Leo on the back, Leo allowed this touch, sporadic tears ran down his face, he sobbed, wiped the tears from his face and then smiled. "No, thank you for everything. Really." Jasper stood there, holding back tears. "Not for this, bro." He patted him on the back one last time.
"Keep your chin up, take care of yourself, and don't let anyone piss you off." "Yeah, yeah. Kiss my ass, take care of yourself too," Leo said, smiling softly and closing the door quietly after him. He set Oliver down on the floor and took his hand. "So let's go shopping, shall we?" Oliver nodded. He seemed emotionally confused and unstable at the moment.
They left the surgery, looked left and right and then crossed the street. Oliver detached himself from Leo's hand and was about to run ahead, smiling and happy to be visiting his favorite store, but before they had crossed the street, Leo heard a loud roar of an engine.
Leo looked to his left in panic, a car was dangerously close at too high a speed, he even accelerated before a loud thud, bang and squeal echoed through the streets. The car seemed to have targeted Oliver, but Leo jumped in between, clutching Oliver and protecting him from the impact. The car hit Leo completely in the back. Due to the high speed, Leo hit the windshield and the roof of the car before falling to the ground bleeding profusely, his spinal bones and one of his legs were clearly visible and he had completely lost consciousness.
Oliver lay trembling and clutched tightly in Leo's arms, covered in blood, but not from his own wounds. He himself had only suffered abrasions, but his ability had healed them completely. He extricated himself from his father's limp arms and knelt down. He was completely oblivious to the cars stopped around them.
"Dad? Dad?!" He shook Leo, but Leo didn't move. Oliver shouted, "Daddy?!" Tears were streaming down his face. The people got out of the car and Jasper, too, was startled by the bang as he was about to lock the office, so he went straight to see what had happened.
POV: Jasper
When he saw what had happened, he dropped everything and immediately ran to Leo. "Somebody help me." Jasper waved one of the bystanders over to hold Leo's head, put him in a stable position and immediately called the ambulance. Another bystander, who also appeared to be a mother, pulled Oliver a little away from Leo so that Jasper could work in peace. "Hang on...," he muttered, biting his lower lip.
Thankfully, the ambulance arrived in the next few minutes and Jasper was finally able to catch his breath, take Oliver in his arms and stand to the side a little.
"It's your own fault if you bring a child into the world that isn't mine..." Jasper heard these words behind him, he looked around briskly and tried to find the source, the culprit, but there was no one behind him. He shook his head. Perhaps he had simply misheard.
Loading Leo into the ambulance, Jasper went up to the paramedics. "Can we get a ride?" "How do you feel about the patient?" The paramedic closed the doors. "The little boy is his son and I'm his best friend and doctor." The paramedic nodded. "Quickly then." The paramedic, the emergency doctor, Jasper and Oliver got in through the side door.
The monitor beeped, the readings were critical and Leo was forcibly ventilated. Oliver was shaking and crying, Jasper hugged him close. "Can you briefly summarize the most important data for me?" He was about to inject Leo with painkillers, but Jasper quickly intervened. "He's pregnant. In the first few weeks. Twins." The emergency doctor stopped and, nodding, drew up a different painkiller.
Leo's body calmed down, but he was bleeding heavily. The paramedic drained the wounds and tried as best he could to apply pressure to Leo, who was lying on his side, in the various places where wounds were open, but it wasn't long before the monitors started beeping massively.
"Ventricular fibrillation!" They now turned Leo onto his back. The paramedic and the emergency doctor stepped away from him and pressed the button to defibrillate, an electric shock was sent through the electrons they had previously attached to his body. They then began a heart rhythm massage. Nothing happened. They kept pushing until they could shock again. This continued until they arrived at the hospital.
Meanwhile, Jasper and Oliver stood pressed into the corner, both shaking by now, until they could get out at the hospital. Of course, they were left behind first, because Leo had priority and was immediately taken to the shock room.
Stunned, Oliver and Jasper stood outside the hospital, unable to grasp what had happened. They didn't move and just stared at the entrance until they were approached. "Excuse me?" No response. "Excuse me, are you the family of Mr. Leonard Neumann?" A police officer and the emergency doctor from before stood in front of them. The two just nodded silently.
"Did you witness the accident? Based on the injuries you observed, the driver seems to have been speeding, if not intending to speed up again." Jasper shook his head, while Oliver winced. "Me..." "Excuse me?" "He tried to kill me! Not Dad!" Oliver cried, tears streaming down his cheeks again.
"I know, little one, that's a hard question, but can you tell me why you think that?" the policeman asked, trying to be as empathetic as possible. He offered Oliver a lolly, but he refused. "I ran in front of Dad, he drove towards me and sped up again. He tried to run me down, but Dad jumped in between to protect me," Oliver sobbed loudly.
"Now that you mention it, I thought I was imagining it for a moment. But I think the perpetrator came back to the accident." "What makes you think that?" "I think someone behind me said that Leo deserved it because he had a child with someone else, but when I turned around, there was no one there."
"Hmm, interesting. It would definitely make sense, with what we know. We'll definitely look at the cameras on the street and the buildings and keep you posted, after all, we're talking about a possible attempted murder here." Jasper swallowed.
"You look like you've thought of something else?" the policeman asked when he saw the look on Jasper's face. "Does Mr. Neumann have any enemies who would want to kill him or his child?" A short pause. Jasper's eyes widened and he stared at the floor. He had put one and one together. "I think I even know who the perpetrator is..." The policeman looked at him in surprise.
"With the details. I can think of one person who would fit the action and these statements I've heard. James Fahras. The son of the Fahras family. I don't know him personally, but I know enough to say with certainty that he would definitely do something like that. I know he considers Leo, that is, Mr. Neumann, to be his property that has gone missing..."
"Are you just saying that Mr. Neumann is actually Leon Fahras?" Jasper looked at the policeman in astonishment. "How do you know that name?" "His missing persons poster has been hanging in our station for years." Jasper nodded. "Yes. That's him." The policeman frowned. "Well, that should be fun...," he said with irony in his voice. "We'll take a closer look anyway, nothing's been confirmed yet. But thanks for the tip." With that, the policeman and the emergency doctor, who had been writing notes in the meantime, said goodbye.
Oliver and Jasper went back to the hospital and asked how Leo was doing and where they could wait for him. With great compassion, they were taken to the waiting area of the operating room. Oliver clung to Jasper, distraught, while Jasper was lost in his thoughts.
"Should we call Christopher?" Oliver now asked, sobbing. Jasper snapped out of his thoughts. "I don't know, little monster. We'd be revealing too much about your father if Christopher came here... but then again, I don't think it would be fair not to tell him. Especially since I can't keep an eye on you forever. If you were to stay with me, we'd probably have to go to your apartment and get your things anyway, and then Christopher would find out anyway...," Jasper mumbled to himself, exhaled deeply and then pulled his cell phone out of his pocket.
He dialed Christopher's number. "What do you want?" Christopher answered the phone. Jasper didn't answer. "Are Leo and Oliver with you? They haven't come home yet." "Christopher...," Jasper said, stuttering. "What's wrong?!" Christopher replied angrily. "What. Is. Going. On?!" "Leo's in hospital. He was hit by a car." "...What hospital?" "Marie Antoinette Hospital." "I'll be right there." You could hear the front door slam in the background. "How is he? What about Oliver?" Christopher rushed down the stairs. "Oliver's fine. Unfortunately, the same can't be said for Leo." "Fuck, I'll be with you in a minute." The call was hung up.
Jasper struggled with himself. Was this the right decision? "I'm sorry, Leo..." he mumbled. "You probably won't be able to keep any more secrets from Christopher soon, thanks to me...I'm sorry." Jasper cuddled with Oliver, stroking his hair all the way through. They fell silent and Oliver continued to cry. He himself tried to suppress his tears.
It wasn't long before Christopher stormed into the waiting room. He was completely out of breath. "How is Leo? Where is he?" "Don't run!" a nurse shouted after him. "He's still in surgery..." Jasper stood up and Oliver stretched out his arms to get onto Christopher's arm. Christopher took Jasper from Oliver and hugged him to him. "It's going to be okay," he continued to stroke Oliver.
"What actually happened?" "Dad protected me." "What do you mean?" "A car tried to hit me... and Dad jumped in between...," Oliver sobbed. "Oliver, it's not your fault. Your dad did it because he loves you." Christopher tried to pull himself together and comfort Oliver, but it burned through him. "That means someone did it on purpose?!" he growled. His face was contorted with rage.
"Yes, we assume so," Jasper said now. "And do you know who did this?" Christopher was full of rage, he would kill whoever had done this to Leo. Jasper shrugged his shoulders. "I...don't know," Jasper tried to talk his way out of it, Christopher realized. He took a deep breath. "Is Leo going to pull through? The doctors here are good and I mean, he does have abilities that will help him heal himself." Jasper faltered.
"No, I don't think it's going to be that easy. He can't use his abilities at the moment..." "Why?!" Christopher became louder. "What does that mean?!" he asked, but they were interrupted.
"Are you Leonard Neumann's family?" The three of them turned to the doctor, who was just coming down the corridor. "Yes, we are... How is he, doctor?"
"Not well. He's still in critical condition, but he'll probably survive. We're going to put him in an induced coma now so he can heal in peace." Jasper breathed a sigh of relief.
"But it really was a difficult procedure. Healing abilities didn't work on him, the fetuses sucked in any healing, I've never seen anything like it."
Christopher blinked twice. "...Fetuses?"
"Oh, are you Mr. Neumann's partner? Then I guess this was supposed to be a surprise." The doctor approached Christopher and Oliver and handed him the maternity card. "Congratulations, you're going to be a father again, twins. They're both doing well so far, they've come through it much better than their mother." The doctor patted Christopher on the shoulder.
He stood there. Said nothing. Jasper and Oliver looked at him. His head was rattling. Now Christopher's tears were starting to run too. "He's an Omega... and pregnant by me... with twins...?" He set Oliver down and sank to the floor. "Fuck." He pounded his fist on the floor and cried. "Fuck!"
Jasper took a step towards Christopher, but Oliver shook his head and walked away from Christopher to Jasper.
"I'm so stupid, I'm so stupid, so stupid," Christopher repeated. "Why didn't I notice that? Why didn't I notice before... There were so fucking many clues. I'm so stupid...," he sobbed.
"But hey, you're going to be a father, and with someone you actually like," Jasper tried to reassure him. Christopher stood up, wiped away his tears and walked towards Jasper. "What else have you been keeping from me! Why didn't you tell me? Don't tell me it was too soon! He didn't want to tell me, did he? He wanted to run away again and that's why he's been so weird the last few weeks!"
Jasper frowned. "Have a seat. I'll tell you." Christopher struggled with himself for a moment, but then sat down next to Jasper. "So..." Jasper began to tell him. About Leo's dead parents, his mother who had committed suicide because Leo's father had been murdered. That he was a researcher and a member of the green dragons. That Leo was then adopted by the yellow dragons, and that the chief was Leo's dead father's best friend. That they had branded him with the forbidden slave mark as a child, that he could not have defended himself because of it and therefore could not have shot Camilla back then. That the yellow family mistreated him and the son abused him, even becoming engaged to him with the aim of fathering a child. That Leo fled, met him, Jasper, took him in and they then sought protection for him from the government and the military because the Fahras were hunting him. That he then became pregnant, left the military and ran away from the government. Christopher was aware that he had been found again and that he was now in this situation. Jasper now expressed his suspicion that James Fahras could have been the driver. The only thing he left out was that Oliver was also his son. That, Jasper thought, was for Oliver himself to tell him, if not Leo.
Christopher listened carefully to Jasper's words. The more he learned about Leo, or Leon as he now knew, the more irritated he became.
"That... is a lot of information...," Christopher growled, holding his hand in front of his face. "What a load of bullshit..." "Now do you understand why Leo was so weird about you?" "Yeah, for the most part. He wanted to protect us all at once and completely ruined himself in the process."
"...That about sums it up." Oliver had fallen asleep on Jasper's arm while he was talking. Christopher and Jasper talked for hours about old times, especially the ones they spent with Leo. They could even laugh again, until they noticed a commotion. A new emergency had probably come in. Oliver woke up from the noise and rubbed his eyes. He plucked at Jasper's shirt.
"What's going on?" he asked tiredly. "I don't know...," Jasper said quietly and then looked at Oliver. "Monster, your eyes. You need your eye drops." Oliver shook his head. "No, you told him everything. I don't want any more secrets from Christopher either..." Oliver mumbled tiredly. "Okay, I was going to leave that decision up to you anyway," Jasper replied quietly.
Christopher raised an eyebrow. I wonder what else awaited him now? Oliver turned to Christopher and stared him straight in the eye. Christopher recognized himself in the boy as if he were looking in a mirror. Violet met violet. He swallowed hard.
"I knew Leo's smell was familiar to me from somewhere. So it was really him that time. I figured he was pregnant then, with the symptoms... and with my child..." Christopher pulled Oliver out of Jasper's arms and hugged him tightly. "Thank you...," he whispered in Oliver's ear. Oliver hugged him back. "Dad..." The word now took on a completely different meaning in Christopher's ears and he hugged him even tighter.
"I was wondering why this feeling towards you was so strange all the time, so familiar and not jealous.... I seem to have known inside all along that you were my son..." Oliver had tears running down his cheeks again.
"Yes, you really are amazing. Leo's and your genetics and compatibility scores were incredibly amazing from the start. Kids that have little to no chance of being hurt and Leo, who couldn't actually get pregnant, is so compatible with you that just one of the sperm of yours is enough to impregnate him and produce such incredible children," Jasper added, his eyes shining at the subject.
"Ah, that's why you were so involved in all that shit..." Oliver pinched Christopher. "Dad doesn't like it when Dad uses so many swear words." The adults burst out laughing. "I'm sorry," Christopher now said honestly. "It's all incredibly difficult for me to process. It's fu..." he wanted to use another swear word, but stopped "...it's just too much all at once. I can't grasp it all. I'll try to think about it in peace soon. I hope you'll answer a few more questions then, but right now my brain is just blank." "That's understandable. No problem."
Once again, there was a certain volume, rumbling and loud voices could be heard. The three of them couldn't really understand much, but apparently the name Leo or Leon came up a lot, which made them nod to each other and see what was going on.
They walked down the corridor to the source of the noise. People were gathered outside one of the rooms, the three quickly realized it was Leo's room because there was a large window in front of it, through which they could see Leo lying on his bed, in a coma, ventilated and hooked up to some machines.
"We've just brought him into this room and put him into an induced coma! You can't take the patient with you now, no matter who you are! You don't have permission to do that and it would put the patient's life in danger again!" Christopher and Jasper looked at each other. Christopher then walked forward with Oliver in his arms.
"What's going on?" The people he had only seen from behind so far turned to look at him. He could only recognize the doctor first. There were also two men in front of the room who looked like bodyguards.
But instead of introducing himself, one of the people who had turned around shouted: "Father! Look! That's the child! The son of a bitch that Leon got because he just whored around after he disappeared!" Christopher's and Oliver's violet eyes met two pairs of yellow eyes and those of a woman who seemed to come from another dragon family. Christopher recognized them immediately now.
"The Fahras Family...," Jasper grumbled. "What are you doing here?" "Just taking back what's ours," replied the head of the yellow family. "Interesting to see you here again, Christopher." The older man approached him and reached for Oliver, trying to pry him from Christopher's arms.
"This is Leon's son, so I guess this thing (Oliver) is ours too."
