Amelia, who was about to sit in her previous seat, suddenly felt a dull ache in her hand and knew she needed to get out.
It was happening again.
Her attention snapped to her mark starting to glow, and she stiffened in her place, which didn't go unnoticed by Cassius, observing the girl.
Amelia looked at her grandpa's happy face and then at Cyrus, unsure how to excuse herself.
"Ummm… I need to use the washroom quickly," Amelia said. Panic engulfed her heart.
Cyrus looked at her with raised brows. He was sure she had bathed and used the washroom before coming down for dinner.
What was going on with her?
"Do you want me to send someone with you—"
"No!" Amelia said instinctively before realising how defensive she sounded.
"It's fine. Please enjoy yourselves. I'll be back soon," She didn't give him the time to say anything and dashed out of the dining hall.
