"Let's go," Cyrus held Amelia's hand after some time, and Amelia furrowed her brows in confusion.
"I still have a lecture," she started, but Cyrus's stern gaze prevented her from finishing her sentence.
"We are not going home, Amelia. We are going to the healers' community. What was the name of the girl again? Alexia, right?" He asked.
Amelia gulped and nodded.
As much as she wanted to vouch for the girl and give her a second chance to improve after what she did, something that her previous self would've surely done, she didn't want to make the same mistakes of believing slithering snakes anymore.
She might be ridiculed and called heartless, but she didn't want to be the bigger person anymore who would forgive someone even after this kind of sin.
Cyrus held her hand and pulled her into his arms, lifting her bridal style.
He hid her face inside his coat, not allowing anyone to see her as he took her out of the University.
