"Aren't you —" Amelia couldn't form the words.
It was nighttime and pouring heavily when she had met him. He was drenched from head to toe with his face contorted from the pain, and thus, she wasn't sure if he was the same man she had met.
"Kyle Sterling," He said.
"Hmm?" Amelia asked, a little surprised when he said the word.
"My name, sweetheart. Kyle Sterling," He said again, repeating every syllable slowly, as if wanting her to engrave those words in her mind.
Kyle Sterling? Why did this name sound so familiar to her?
Where had she heard the name? Amelia racked her brain to see if she remembered encountering him in her past life.
It didn't seem like the case, but… and then it struck her. Kyle Sterling? The rogue head?
As if he knew what exactly she was thinking, the man dipped his head until he was face to face with her before he smiled.
He wiped the blood from the corner of her lips.
