Amir, Aria, and Oroc fell. They tumbled on the ground. Amir quickly got up run and opened the tower doors.
Nothing, all it showed was the lobby.
"Why did you attack The Brooker? You killed him," Oroc said and shoved Amir.
"No, I did not get the chance. I knew he was not right from the start," Amir said, getting in Oroc's face.
"The Brooker could have saved him. Instead, you stopped him from saving him," Oroc said.
Meanwhile, Aria stayed seated on the ground. She silently watched as a guard walked toward them.
"Up, get back to work," the patch guard said. Without hesitation, Aria got up and walked ahead of him. Oroc and Amir followed her.
The guard took away their sword and handed them a pickaxe instead.
Meanwhile, Solomon running in the forest. Chasing him were hell apes. As he ran he fired some spells at them, but this did not discourage them. With a wave of his hand.
He summoned Amir, Oroc, and Aria. Amir looked around, he hoped Art would be with them. Aria caught a flicker of disappointment on his face. She tapped him on the back, saying nothing.
They saw the horde of Apes swinging and leaping toward them. They summoned their weapons.
Oroc skillfully swung his kusarigama then kicked it at an ape. Using the weight at the end of the chain. He hit the ape in the head, cracking its skull.
The ground shook leaves fell from the trees. All the apes on the ground went up a tree. From a distance, they saw a shadow figure. It knuckle-walked towards them.
Oroc still swung his weapon as he watched. It hit and and made a clunk.
"Grreaaak"
The ape screamed, and drops of saliva blew into Orocs face. In front of them was a 7-feet ape. Its skin was dark and crystalized, and some forming spikes.
Aria fired some arrows at it, which made it angrier.
Oroc slowly took a step back, this caught the ape's attention. He stopped and looked at it. The Ape growled, Oroc turned and ran.
Before he could get away the ape swung his arm. He was sent flying into trees.
"I paid good of money for you. Earn it,"
Solomon said, with a wave of a hand he hurled a tree at the ape.
The tree splinted upon impact. The armored ape lunged at Solomon. All of a sudden it stopped. Aria and Amir run to see an ape in front of him.
"Wait, that's the ape I killed the other time," Amir said telepathically. Oroc dusted himself off. Solomon then sent the ape away. The armored ape let out a deep breath, then walked away.
"You guys need to get better at this before I get to the gate," Solomon said and sent them back to the Aporia.
Back there, they practiced how to get access to the liminal space.
As they were practicing the horn sounded and they lost all train of thought.
