Jiang Xin slowly moved towards Qingling who just gazed at her wearily.
Rin didn't do anything as he just observed, he couldn't sense any I'll intent or malice from her actions.
Under Qingling's dumbfounded gaze Jiang Xin pulled her into a tight hug as the older woman started sobbing while saying sorry like a broken record....

" I-I am sorry for not being there ... If only I was there earlier then Lingxi wouldn't have.... " Jiang Xin said with a depressed smile as she gazed at Qingling who was a bit teary eyed as she gazed at her with a complicated gaze.
Qingling didn't how to face this woman who appeared genuinely remorseful.
Wasn't she the person who made her mother leave the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect? Or was she missing something.
Her mother never talked about her life in the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect, all she knew was from the adults talking ill of her mother.

" Qingling... Give it to her " Rin's calm voice broke Qingling our of her thoughts making Jiang Xin also turn her gaze to the very cute boy.
'Who is he?' Jiang Xin frowned a little as she alternated her gaze between Qingling and Rin , wondering what their dynamic was.
She felt a bit anxious as even though she just met Qingling she viewed her just like her own child.
The bond between her and Lingxi was so close that maybe if she was into women she might just have married her instead of being with Ning Fengzhi whom she didn't love.
Jiang Xin didn't care about the fact that Lingxi had an affair with Ning Fengzhi , the only thing she cared was Lingxi just leaving without even talking to her.
Only after Lingxi left did she find out that her good friend had left the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect back to her own hometown.
Jiang Xin didn't go find her because she felt if Lingxi wanted to talk to her then she might have already did.
So it only meant one thing and that was that Lingxi didn't wish to speak to her.
Ning Fengzhi had confessed to her that it was drunken mistake on the part of both him and Lingxi and this made her feel relieved , not for Ning Fengzhi because he could whore around for all she cared.
It was because from this she could understand that Lingxi didn't willingly go behind her back to have an affair with Ning Fengzhi.
But what Jiang Xin didn't know was , Ning Fengzhi had taken advantage of a vulnerable and slightly tipsy Lingxi when she was at a low point in her life.
Ning Fengzhi acted as the gentleman as he comforted her and shared some drinks with her and in the end used it as an opportunity to goad her into bed with him.
And Lingxi who regained her reason felt guilty ever since then.
And after finding out that she was pregnant she felt even more guilty since she had never wanted Jiang Xin to know of her betrayal.
Lingxi felt like she had committed an irreversible crime as she left the Seven Treasured Glazed Tile Sect without much protest when Ning Fengzhi asked her to.
She held a bit of affection for Ning Fengzhi, but that was about it and after seeing his cowardly actions towards the child inside of her she had killed all affection she held.
Any words of love or promises that Ning Fengzhi had told her were all false too.
The only person Lingxi cared about was Jiang Xin, so she left without saying anything as she felt unworthy.

Whenever Qingling asked about her father, Lingxi would become sad not because of Ning Fengzhi but due to remembering the person she cared about most in the world along with her daughter.
The only token she kept with her was of Jiang Xin, the one they exchanged when they became sworn sisters...

While Jiang Xin was confused Qingling reached into her storage tool as she pulled out a ring that made Jiang Xin's eyes wide.
"S-She still had it!" Jiang Xin's voice trembled as she took out the necklace around her neck revealing a ring attached to it and there were two characters clearly engraved on it.
' 凌曦 ' ( Ling Xi )
Suddenly Jiang Xin frowned as she covered her lips immediately but she couldn't prevent the blood she vomited from seeping through her fingers.
Qingling's gaze trembled in fear and worry as she couldn't help but reach out and clutch the clothes of this woman whom she had considered an enemy a few moments.
" M-Maybe this is my retribution for not being able to save your mother..." Jiang Xin smiled as her bloodied lips made it a horrifying smile.
"M-Mom! " Ning Rongrong who saw her mother vomiting blood ran over and hugged her legs while tears pooled in her eyes.
" Are you hurt Mom? Is it because Rongrong was a bad child ? Would you get better if Rongrong was an obedient child? " Ning Rongrong hugged Jiang Xin's legs tightly as tears started flowing down her face.
But before Jiang Xin could say anything a warm glow passed over making her gaze at the child who was standing before her while an aura of power radiated around him making her want to kneel down and worship.
It was like she was in the presence of the sun itself.
" She will be fine .... after all I am here...."
