Katherine's POV
I heard a soft knock on my bedroom and didn't have to look up to know that it wasn't Susan.
"Hey,"
I looked up at the sound of his voice and forced myself not to react at the sight of him in my room. He looked tired and I felt bad about being mad at him.
"Hi," I replied with a nod.
"What happened at the hospital today?"
I shrugged, happy that he cared enough to come ask me about it. He could have gone to his bedroom the moment he came back from work and not bother at all about it. Maybe I should stop being mad at him.
"Nothing much. I'm fine and so is the baby." I gave him a shy smile. "We are having a boy."
"Good for you. Gramps would love that." He said and turned, heading towards the door.
I frowned at his reactions and words. What was that blank look and dull voice? I hadn't expected him to jump up, rush to my side in glee and pester me with wet kisses but I hated how indifferent he was.
