In the pile of glittering gold and treasures, an unremarkable bracelet had been pushed to the corner.
What was special, however, was the mana swirling around it, so abundant that it shimmered, coalescing into a cluster of twinkling blue glitter in his vision.
"This is a true treasure," he murmured.
He carefully picked up the bracelet and inspected it. The dragons' patterns spiraled around it, exuding an ancient, mysterious aura.
As he studied the bracelet, it suddenly shattered in his hand, turning into sand before his stunned eyes.
"Eh!?"
Before he could comprehend what had just happened, an alarm blared, and red lights flooded the room.
Countless chains emerged from all directions, seeking to imprison him.
"It's a trap."
He gritted his teeth and, gathering all his strength, punched at the chains trying to bind him.
But they only recoiled slightly before coming back at him, more fierce than before, gliding through the air like snakes chasing their prey.
