While Kenpachi and Unohana were having their fun, elsewhere, Nel, sensing that Grimmjow was already going all out, sighed. Of course, he had to go for the strongest power level he felt.
Going for two Captains wasn't wise with Grimmjow's level.
She dodged a strike from Isshin while smacking away the Byakurai that Captain Ukitake had sent toward her.
Yes, she was also in a 2v1. They were less powerful than the Sins, but the baseline for Sin level was higher than the baseline for Captain level.
Even the weakest Sin, currently Zommari, had managed to climb into the top five in the last forty or so years.
She, however, was the strongest Sin, which meant she scaled above Captain level, so taking on two Captains alone was quite easy. The only Captain she couldn't beat was Yamamoto.
Everyone else was free game.(including Shunsui)
Using her authority, she made her Hierro stronger. She didn't necessarily need to voice out her authority—she could just think it in her head. Yes, it would be weaker than saying it aloud, but that gave her an edge over her opponents.
She clashed with Isshin. No matter how many times the man struck her, his blade never even left a dent on her body.
"She's strong," Isshin admitted. He was being easily overwhelmed, even using his Shikai.
His powers were being rendered useless against her.
He was unaware of the two rules she had in place.
She could not take damage from physical attacks.
Energy-based attacks dealt no damage.
The two drawbacks were that since her Hierro adjusted to every physical attack, it meant her High-Speed Regeneration was nerfed in response, making her heal a lot slower than usual.
And since energy-based attacks dealt no damage, her own kind of fell into that category.
So her own energy-based attacks received a 20% downgrade in efficiency and potency.
She pointed her finger at him before—
Firing a Bala at Isshin.
The blast moved quickly toward the man.
With a flash of movement, Ukitake redirected her attack, his twin blades gliding in a perfect counter. His presence was as calm as ever, but—
Cough.
Blood splattered against the ground.
Neliel's teal eyes flickered to his shaking form. Ah.
He was weak. His body could not keep up with his movements.
She lifted her blade. She would end his misery once and for all.
Killing a sick opponent wasn't in her mantra.
And thus,
She willed it—
Sin Authority – "Imperium Primordialis."
The air shifted. Reality itself obeyed.
Ukitake's lungs... healed. The pain, the suffocating illness that had plagued him for centuries—gone, if only temporarily.
His lungs were working as they were supposed to. The weird thing was the way Mimihagi seemed silent, as if trying to hide its presence from her power... no, from the origin of her powers.
That was quite odd. Quite odd indeed.
The man's brow furrowed. Why did she save him? What did she gain from this?
To his confusion, she opened her mouth and said,
"I take no pride in beating a sick opponent. I want you to have no excuse after you are defeated."
And partly because while Gabriel did say to raise hell, he never mentioned anything about actually killing the Captains. He left that for the Sins to decide—whether to kill or just incapacitate them. The better option was the one that dealt the most damage to Soul Society.
So killing them... though she would rather incapacitate them, their Saketsu would soon enough be shattered from their bodies.
Ukitake straightened himself, holding his blade steady.
"I suppose I should return the courtesy... I am Jūshirō Ukitake, Captain of the Thirteenth Division."
"And I'm Isshin Shiba, Captain of the Tenth."{learned from my last mistake}
Oh, so he was a member of the Five Great Noble Families. Well, there went her goal of not killing them.
"The Shiba family... do you ally yourself with the Tsunayashiro family?" she asked calmly.
"No," the man replied almost immediately, as if the mere mention of their name had soured his mood.
She hummed a bit, her grip on her blade loosening just slightly.
"Neliel Tu Odelschwanck... The Sin of Pride," she finally said after getting the answer she wanted.
And thus... she began clashing with them again.
Their movements were predictable.
Neliel's authority made it so—she dictated the battle.
Ukitake went Shikai, his twin blades moving in flawless synchronicity. Isshin went all out, his power flaring, his strikes heavier, faster.
But it wasn't enough.
"You stand no chance."
"Praise, Gamuza."
Her voice was calm as she released her Zanpakutō.
She transformed into a majestic centaur, her power now dwarfing the two Captains she was fighting. She was here to destroy their communication center, and thus, she wanted to be done with it.
Once that was done, she would deal with the Kidō Corps—if no other Sin got to it. Once those two were down, the Tres Bestia would be released into Soul Society in their new Kaiju glory.
So, to end the fight, she uttered her command.
"Be still."
Their bodies froze.
For a single, suffocating moment, neither Captain could move.
Neliel's most powerful attack formed in her grasp—a condensed mass of pure destruction. She aimed—
And then—
She launched it at them at full force, aiming to severely damage them to the point that they would need medical help.
Ukitake activated his Shikai just in time to block the attack.
Absorbing it before sending it back to her.
"Hmph."
She looked more annoyed than anything. Opening her mouth, she absorbed the Cero before sending it back at the man at double the speed and strength.
BOOOOOM!
The shockwave shattered the battlefield.
When the dust settled—
Isshin stood, shielding Ukitake with his own body.
Blood dripped from his mouth, but his stance was firm.
Neliel studied him. Then scoffed. "Hmph. You are durable."
"I get that a lot," he muttered, his body screaming at him.
Ukitake, the smart man he was, realized something. If one of her Cero had Isshin looking like this—and Isshin was by no means weak, the man was strong and very durable—yet she had him looking like that...
"You didn't want to kill us," Ukitake noted. "Why?"
She paused.
Then, she spoke.
"One of His Majesty's generals has family under his protection. A Fullbringer, being hunted by the Tsunayashiro family."
Isshin's stomach dropped.
So all of this was happening because of that. The Hollow King was real in his threat. He was actually following through with what he said.
"The smell of blood thickens."
She looked at them both, then at the battlefield.
"Are the Shinigami happy with their choice?"
Ukitake exhaled. "Many will die today..."
Neliel's expression didn't change.
"Our army is in Hueco Mundo. Nearly 90% of our true forces. Even if every Arrancar falls today..."
Her eyes glowed with certainty.
"It will not make a difference."
The words hung in the air.
"Do you understand? The only real loser of this war..."
She turned her back to them.
She didn't need to finish her sentence for them to know the truth.
A/N…apart from Yama and squd zero in one vs one she clear every captain…different story if she get jump by 2+, I am saying 2+ because some combo can in fact defeat her, any combo that has Uraha and a heavy hitter can do it.
(Aizen excluded)
She can only defeat him in one vs one and if she find out about his shikai ability so she can have a law prepared.
