It has been approximately 680 years since the day Quinn was put into eternal slumber, and not long after Sil initially left the human solar system. Every hundred years of traveling, he would come back to the Blade family to let them copy the age reversal ability. However, over the years, they had managed to teach someone the ability, meaning Sil didn't have to visit as often.
When he was traversing the stars again, he started up his logs once more. It had a lot less focus on rating aliens, and more focus on chats. Of course, the alien intercourse did continue, but rating just wasn't the main goal of the logs anymore.
Vicky and Logan were Sil's most frequent chatters, but occasionally Vorden, Raten and Shiro would join and add their 3 cents. Mostly to tease Sil.
With so many years in creating new logs, he was at 208,754 total logs. Some days he missed, and some days had multiple logs. He was considering making a new logging categorizing system at this point, with a new letter every thousand words, but he just never came around to it.

[Log 208,755] {Sil} I've come across a planet filled with aliens that are humanoid and resemble earth bats.
{Sil} The people here are rather humanlike, aside from the fur-like plumage on their chests, large ears, and bat-like noses.
{Sil} They also have sharp teeth.
{Sil} From what I can tell of their planet, it seems to be one that gets visited a lot by a bunch of other species.
{Logan} Elaborate.
{Sil} You know, it's a trading planet.
{Logan} Document as many details as you can. This will make for a fine addition to Richard Eno's database.
{Sil} Doesn't seem that special from the other trading planets I already documented.
{Logan} The more things recorded, the better.
{Sil} Either way, I'm going down to visit. I hope I can get some equipment made, all my stuff is pretty old and worn down. Plus, there's this weird noise that I keep hearing when I shower.
{Vicky} Sil, I keep telling you that you needed that checked out! It's been years!
{Vicky} You have to be more careful with your shit. Remember, you don't have someone to help you repair things.
{Sil} It's not like I could have brought someone from earth with me. We've been over this.
{Logan} I could've sent Linda with you.
{Sil} I dunno, she seemed to be caught up with something last I checked. Wouldn't want to bother her like that.
{Vicky} Be careful, Sil.
{Sil} Don't worry, I will.
{Sil} I got those nest crystals from slug guy a while back, I'm stronger than ever.
{Sil} I'm going to this bar and seeing if there's anyone I can get info from.
Sil put away his messaging device and looked at the planet around him. The world was a dark one, with red lights everywhere, and the sky a dark blue. Despite it being night time, it wasn't too dark to see. The buildings in the city Sil was in, used a primarily cream colored stoney material with wooden beams to support them.
Sil continued inside the bar. It was a pretty busy one as he saw numerous members of the same species in the area, with only a few outsiders like him inside. Sil didn't know where to sit, until he found a particular bat-like person sitting in the corner of the bar tinkering at something, and walked up to them.
"Mind if I sit here?" Sil asked, "I'm new here."
The bat-like person had curly dark colored fur. The top of his head was darker than the rest of his fur, and a snaggle tooth peeked on his right. He was tinkering with a piece of technology, and despite everyone else at the establishment eating food, this person only had a small drink.
There was something about his face that called out to Sil. His large warm brown eyes were inviting— comforting.
[Chapter Art]
"Uh… Sure! I got a bit of free time right now," the bat-like creature said while fiddling with his contraption absentmindedly. He used what Sil could only assume was a screw to secure a collection of wires to the side of the machine.
Sil took a seat, and began talking, "So, what's your name?"
"The name's Swinn," he said as he took out a thin hand for a clawed handshake. The name felt familiar, but Sil was used to it as Vorden and Borden were two different people despite their similar names.
"Mine's Sil," he replied, "What's this place called?"
"You talking about the bar or the planet?" Swinn asked.
"Uh… the planet?"
"Oh, right, of course—" Swinn nervously chuckled as he took a sip of his drink, the snaggle tooth sticking out. "This planet is called Umbrae, and just in case you were wondering, us folks here are called Chiropteras."
"So, would you mind if you gave me a tour of the place?" Sil replied, "I'll pay you for your time."
"You'll pay me?" Swinn questioned a little too quickly, "Yeah! Of course!"
Swinn quickly got up and placed his unusual contraption away in a bag, before flinging it over his shoulder. The contents inside clanked against itself.
"Wait," Swinn paused, "... Can you pay for my drink first? It's just water, nothing crazy."
"Yeah, sure," Sil shrugged, "Will a basic tier crystal do?"
"Oh my gosh, that's more than enough!" Swinn excitedly said.
The waiter came by soon enough, and not only did Sil pay for his drink, but also gave the waiter a tip of a king tier crystal, not giving a second thought over the price. He was just that loaded with beast crystals. This surprised Swinn a little as he had never seen such clear crystals before.
"Whoah, how rich are you?" Swin asked.
Sil just smiled and winked.
The two left the bar, and began looking around. The planet Umbrae blew a refreshing chilly air, and it was rather quiet aside from the sounds of the bustling insides of establishments inside the city. The silhouettes of the tall buildings provided a nice contrast from the sky, which was lightly lumated from the planet's dusty blue moon.
There were numerous red lights around illuminating the place for visitors. He and Swinn weren't the only ones walking around at night, but they were far and few between.
"Got any places you wanna go?" Swinn asked as he placed a hand on his chin. "I've lived here for pretty much my whole life, I know where everything's at— mostly."
"I need to find a blacksmith for my beast crystals, but after that, just tell me whatever you think would be good for a traveler like me."
"Alright!" Swinn replied enthusiastically. "I know just the place."
—
While on their way to the blacksmith, Swinn was curious about this Sil guy.
"You said you're a traveler, right? What kind of places have you gone to?"
"I've gone to an oceananic planet with fish people, a jungle planet with all kinds of plants just to name a few. OH—! And I also went to one with a perpetually active volcano— A lot of them had some beautiful sights."
Swinn looked amazed, "Woah… that sounds so fun."
Sil was eventually brought to a blacksmith. He gave him his beast crystals to get his gear made, and learned that it'll get done within a week. Sil was given the blacksmither's contact, and went on their way.
The two were walking down a street, the red lights shone, and the sky glistened with stars.
"This place is beautiful…" Sil commented, "I've traveled to a lot of planets, but there's just something about this one."
"Really?" Swinn replied back. "I've never left Umbrae, but what about all those other places you've gone to? Surely it doesn't compare?"
Sil thought about it before responding, "My home planet is really the only one that compares."
"What does it look like?"
"There's so many unique places to describe, it's hard to say."
"Oh, I was really hoping you'd talk about it more." Swinn's face dropped a little, "I've… never left this planet."
Sil turned to look back at the Chiroptera, "You could travel like me."
Swinn then stopped in his tracks, holding his hands. "I would love to, but— It's expensive, isn't it? You'd have to pay for a ship ride, either from buying one or getting on a cruise ship, and I don't have that kind of money."
Sil placed a hand on his chin, "If you want, I could take you on my ship. Just for a bit."
Swinn's eyes lit up before his face dropped, "N-no, I can't. No offense, but we did just meet."
"Don't worry, I get it," Sil responded. "Seeing as I'll be in the area for a while, mind telling me where I can get some rest?"
—
They continued on their walk as Swinn looked for a potential place for Sil to stay at. Eventually, they came across one that Sil found suitable enough, and was about to enter.
"Wait, before you go," Swinn called out, "Do you think I could have your contact?"
Sil was slightly taken aback by this gesture, "Uh.. Sure!" He took out his messaging device. "Is this compatible with yours?"
Swinn took out his, and tapped the two devices together. His ears flickered as he heard the beep. "It is!"
Sil took out a king tier crystal before giving it to Swinn who just stared at it wide eyed, "Hopefully, I'll see you again."
Swinn's ears flickered excitedly, "Me too!"
Sil got a room picked out for him. He had purchased enough nights to stay for 7 days. Sil went onto the bed, ready to collapse, but before he did, he took out his messaging device and began to type away at his log.
{Sil} Found this guy who helped me out with finding a blacksmith. Turns out the planet is called "Umbrae" and the species is called "Chiroptera" or "Chiropteras" plural.
{Sil} Also I'm getting some gear made which will take a week. I'm wondering if I should stay for the week or leave for that time.
{Sil} I'm leaning more towards staying because the guy who helped me seemed pretty nice.
{Vicky} Nice, nice. Remember to use protection this time!
{Logan} Just because I have vaccinated you against certain several diseases, does not mean I have sample DNA of this new species.
{Sil} OH MY GOD, SHUT UP.
{Sil} I just met the guy >:(
{Vicky} Just trying to look out for my little brother~ :)
{Sil} That's it, I'm going to sleep.
{Sil} Goodnight -.-
