"KR..."
Shirosa looked at Kakuzu, who lay twitching from the electric shock, and asked in confusion, "What just happened? How did you do that?"
It was just a bunch of iron rings made from Iron Sand—nothing fancy.
Just several rings, suspended in midair, spinning in circles.
But the moment Kakuzu touched them, he got electrocuted!
How did that even work?
Was this really Magnet Style?
"It seems like your entire world skipped science class," Uchiha Obito said, arms crossed and shaking his head in mock disappointment. "How pitiful. You don't even understand the basic principles of electricity and magnetism."
Even Obito, a man with half his body Zetsu-fied, understood it. In front of these natives from the Ninja World, he actually felt intellectually superior—something that never happened back in the Empire.
"...Electricity generates magnetism?" Shirosa repeated blankly.
Can Magnet Style really do that?
"You've mastered Magnet Style too, haven't you?" Kurosa, his counterpart from another world, asked. "Then how do you control metal with it?"
"Just... inject Chakra into the metal," Shirosa replied awkwardly. "Then I can move it around."
That was how Magnet Style worked, wasn't it?
Kurosa sighed. "Let me ask you—how did you even unlock Magnet Style? How did you synthesize your magnetic Chakra?"
"Well... Magnet Style is a combination of wind and lightning Chakra, right?" Shirosa muttered, scratching his head. "Use wind to stimulate lightning, and it creates a unique magnetic energy. That's what I was taught, anyway."
That was how the Third Kazekage developed his version of Magnet Style—by studying Shukaku's powers and blending lightning with wind to create magnetism.
"Exactly," Kurosa nodded. "When you combine wind and lightning, you stimulate a special force—that's magnetism. That's why Magnet Style can control metal."
Shirosa finally began to understand. Still, something didn't sit right with him.
"But even if that creates magnetism... how do you get electricity from it?" he asked. "You just electrocuted someone with it!"
Kurosa rolled his eyes. "I told you already. You don't get it."
Most ninjas knew how to use Chakra. But they didn't understand the rules of the natural world outside of Chakra. Even if they had access to powerful Kekkei Genkai, they couldn't unlock their true potential without scientific knowledge.
"Why not just use Lightning Style?" Shirosa argued. "It'd be simpler than using Magnet Style to make electricity!"
"Do you think Magnet Style is only good for electrocuting people?" Kurosa replied with a scoff. "Magnet Style creates a magnetic field. That field can be used to control metal—not just float it around, but accelerate it."
He raised his hand, and a tiny iron ball—no bigger than a knuckle—floated above his fingertip, suspended by Iron Sand.
"Huh?" Shirosa frowned. "What can that do? It's so small! At most, it might sting if it hits someone. Not very dangerous."
Not far away, Kakuzu slowly staggered to his feet, avoiding the spinning iron rings still hanging in the air. His heart pounded in his chest.
Those rings were electrified?
What kind of insane technique was that?
He had used Earth Style to guard himself—but the electricity had completely ignored it. He charged in headfirst and got zapped into unconsciousness.
"Hey, Kakuzu! You good?" Hidan called out as he ran up, dragging his scythe.
"...Don't touch those rings!" Kakuzu growled. "They're charged with electricity!"
These guys really were trying to stop him at all costs.
But he wasn't so easy to defeat.
Thanks to the Earth Grudge Fear technique, he possessed five hearts—each capable of using a different elemental style. He had no weaknesses and was immune to typical elemental disadvantages.
"Fire Style: Head Hard Work!" Kakuzu roared, forming seals rapidly.
From the mouth of the Wind Style mask on his back, a powerful gust began to blow. He aimed to combine it with a fire technique for a deadly combo.
But—
Swish!
A black streak pierced the Wind Style mask before the attack could finish.
Crack!
The mask exploded into pieces, disrupting the jutsu entirely.
"What?!" Kakuzu shouted. "What was that?!"
He hadn't seen anything—only a black blur.
Then a high-pitched whistle tore through the air.
He turned instinctively but saw nothing.
Then it hit him—the earlier strike had shattered the mask before the sound had reached him.
"The speed... exceeded the speed of sound?" he muttered.
Whatever hit his mask had moved faster than sound itself!
In the air, a tiny black iron ball floated calmly back to Kurosa.
"That little thing..." Kakuzu muttered, his face dark under his mask. "That was it?"
Just a knuckle-sized iron ball had blown apart his Wind Style mask?
How?
Back on Kurosa's side, the same iron ball gently landed on his fingertip again.
Shirosa and the Gaara siblings stared in shock.
They hadn't even seen the attack.
All they heard was the delayed sonic boom.
That black iron ball had become a streak of death.
"The speed..." murmured Hatake Kakashi, activating his Sharingan. "You'd need Mangekyō Sharingan just to track that movement."
At that velocity, most ninja couldn't react.
"I used the magnetic field generated by Magnet Style Chakra to accelerate the iron ball," Kurosa explained, spinning it on his fingertip. "In a flash, I can launch it at several times the speed of sound. This attack—His Majesty named it the 'Super Electromagnetic Railgun.'"
For anyone below Kage-level, this move was almost impossible to dodge.
"B...Boom..." Shirosa mumbled.
In his mind, he imagined what would happen if that iron bullet struck someone in the head.
The result? Instant death.
Even the Five Kage might fall if caught off-guard.
"You two," Kurosa said, addressing Kakuzu and Hidan, "still planning to fight?"
"Pah!" Hidan spat. "You think a fancy trick like that is enough to make me surrender?!"
He grinned. "I'm immortal, remember?"
Swish—
A black line pierced through Hidan's abdomen like a hot knife through butter.
Gahk! Blood spurted from his mouth. He dropped to his knees, stunned.
"What... the hell?" he gasped, staring at the bleeding hole in his torso.
Kakuzu flinched and immediately hardened his body with Earth Style.
"You're still not giving up?" Kurosa sighed.
He waved his hand, and Iron Sand surged through the air, forming countless rings that hovered menacingly around the Akatsuki duo.
An invisible magnetic field pulsed around them, growing stronger.
The iron rings began to spin violently.
"Not this again!" Kakuzu's face darkened.
Zzzzt—
The rings sparked violently.
The air filled with the roar of crackling electricity.
Then—boom!
The lightning engulfed Kakuzu and Hidan.
Their screams were barely audible over the electric onslaught.
Eventually, Kurosa dismissed the rings.
What was left of the two Akatsuki members was barely recognizable.
Their cloaks were in tatters, skin charred, and hair frizzled. Smoke rose from their bodies.
"...Brutal," Kakashi muttered, feeling a chill crawl down his spine.
"The fight's over," Kurosa said.
He bound the unconscious Kakuzu and Hidan in floating rings of Iron Sand.
"They might be useful later."
---
When Kakuzu awoke, he found himself in an ancient, crumbling city surrounded by an endless sea of towering trees.
"Is this... Loulan?" he muttered.
"Glad you're awake," said a voice.
He turned. "Scorpion?"
The Red Sand Scorpion stood nearby, observing calmly.
Kakuzu flexed his sore muscles. "What's going on? Why are we tied up?"
He noticed iron rings binding his limbs. Hidan was still unconscious beside him.
Across from them—
"Damn it! Let me go!" Deidara shouted. "I didn't even get a chance to fight! Hyūga Neji, you coward—face me head-on!"
"Calm down," Scorpion said with a sigh.
Of the six Akatsuki members who came through the summoning technique, only Itachi and Kisame had escaped.
The rest—Deidara, Scorpion, Kakuzu, and Hidan—were captured.
"Pathetic," Deidara growled. "It's always some stupid eye technique!"
He remembered Uchiha Itachi's illusion. Now Hyūga Neji had done the same. Just a glare—and boom, instant defeat.
Not far away, Kurosa addressed the Empire's ninja.
"I've checked their memories," he said. "It was Orochimaru. He suspected we're from another world after the incident with Obito."
"These guys are from an organization called Akatsuki. Their leader is named 'Pain,' and he has the Rinnegan."
Everyone exchanged glances.
"If I had to guess," Kurosa said, "Pain's Rinnegan might be the ones left behind by the Shura of this world."
They already knew Uchiha Madara had awakened the Rinnegan before his death at the Valley of the End.
"But if the eyes aren't originally his, he can't use their full power," Hyūga Neji said. "Pain may not be too dangerous."
"Agreed," Kurosa nodded.
He turned to the Akatsuki prisoners and Gaara's group. "I'll take them back to Sunagakure. I need to secure control there first."
Neji and Kuroshita exchanged glances.
"We should check out Konoha," Kuroshita said. "I still want to know the truth behind the Uchiha massacre in this world."
Neji nodded.
"One more thing before you go," Kurosa added, smirking. "Itachi—back where you came from, your counterparts didn't show up in person, right?"
Kuroshita nodded.
"Good. That means you and Neji can impersonate them."
He grinned. "Go assassinate the Wind Daimyo. We'll pin it on the Akatsuki."
Two birds with one stone.
They eliminate a political obstacle—and stir up chaos within the Akatsuki.
"...Alright,
" Kuroshita said with a smirk. "It's a small favor."
After all, his alternate self in this world was a monster.
Might as well make him useful.
