Chapter 29 - Chapter 29: Food is Very Important!

Moments later, he stopped and leaned forward slightly, his massive presence putting great pressure on everyone present.

"Phew." With a snort, Godzilla slowly straightened, swayed his tail, and began heading home.

The warmth in the air brought everyone back to their senses.

"Lord Godzilla, what does this mean?" Bronya blinked, not understanding his intention.

"I get it!" After a moment of thought, Pela shouted excitedly.

"Lord Godzilla means for us to equip the Engine of Creation with a beam weapon similar to his own!"

Few people knew that the quiet, meticulous Pela was actually a superfan of Godzilla.

------------------------------

The scholars looked at the dents on the Engine of Creation's head, shook their heads with a bitter smile, but soon perked up again.

The Beast Lord truly lived up to their name—without even taking action, or rather, just by slightly moving, they could grasp such a massive Engine of Creation like a toy. It was hard to imagine what it would be like if they went all out.

"Those two, huh." Himeko sighed. She really wanted to say that they should've at least notified her about something this big, but considering Godzilla's absurd strength, they probably didn't even have time to react.

"Come to think of it, I think I saw a flash of light just now, heading in Welt's direction?" She sent a message to the two of them, telling them to stay alert.

Looking around, Himeko suddenly noticed that the scholars all looked excited, gathered together discussing something.

She focused and listened for a while.

"This part should go like this."

"No, if we do that the energy transfer will have issues. I think it's better placed here."

"This caliber won't work, it still needs to be enlarged."

"But this is already the current maximum possible."

"Not even halfway to the Beast Lord's level, how can we dare claim to be following in their footsteps?"

"Exactly! I'm in charge of materials. Leave this to me! We must build it!"

"Ohhhh!!!"

Shaking her head slightly, Himeko had now experienced Godzilla's prestige on Jarilo firsthand.

Even Pela was involved in the discussion.

"Clara? What are you thinking about?"

"Hm? Big sister, Clara is thinking about how to equip Mr. Svarog with an energy cannon too."Looking into Clara's pure eyes, Himeko smiled gently.

...

"Dan Heng."

"Hm? What is it, Mr. Welt?"

"Where on the Astral Express do you think we could mount a heavy cannon? Would the front of the express work?"

"Mr. Welt, I think before implementing this idea, you should probably get the conductor's approval."

...

Meanwhile, at Herta Space Station.

Asta, not knowing what to say, could only comfort Herta with a smile.

"There, there, Miss Herta. Maybe they're just busy?"

"Busy? Busy with what? Busy admiring the scenery?!"

Herta suddenly turned around, holding her phone so tightly it looked like her fingers might pierce through it. Asta slightly raised her head, trying to see what was on Herta's phone.

She caught a glimpse of Herta's humbling and coquettish message to Stelle.

Uhh, you're really not the same on the inside as you seem on the outside.

"Ah! I'm so mad!!" Having exhausted all the sweet talk and still not receiving a reply, Herta finally snapped. Despite her body being that of a doll, Asta could feel the temperature around them rise with her fury.

"Miss Herta, what kind of creature was in those photos anyway? What made you this angry?"

Asta was puzzled—Herta was a genius renowned across the universe, ranked 83rd in the Genius Society, and an Emanator of The Erudition, Nous. If she ever expressed interest in something, the universe would be filled with people eager to please her, even if she offered no reward.

Even though she didn't recognize the creature in the photos either, no rare species should've been able to make Herta this mad, right?

"I'm mad precisely because I don't know what it is!"

"Huh?"

Fuming, Herta opened the photo sent by Stelle. In the picture, a lazy Godzilla sprawled out on a soft mattress, its tail seemingly swaying. In another shot, Godzilla was using its tail to toss some geomarrow crystals into its mouth.

But what really caught Herta's attention was this one:

March 7th stood in front of Godzilla, balancing on one foot while flashing a peace sign toward the camera.

Although the whole photo radiated joy and harmony, Miss Herta could still smell a strong sense of mockery from it.

Looking at the creature he had no recollection of, his mind raced.

"Could it be a new member of the Antimatter Legion? No, impossible. If it really were the Antimatter Legion, it wouldn't be this lazy. Abundance's creation? No, no, if it were from Abundance, even Himeko's satellites would be smoking."

In an instant, Herta's mind flashed through all the known and named civilizations in the universe.

But she still couldn't figure out which civilization had created such a creature.

"Wait a minute! Asta, where are they heading after leaving the space station?"

Caught off guard by Herta's question, Asta paused and thought for a moment.

"Penacony."

"Yeah right, as if trusting her ever works out!" Herta muttered a complaint and started operating the console. Before long, she locked onto Stelle's signal.

"Jarilo-VI? There's still signal from that place?" Seeing the location on the screen, Herta fell silent.

Jarilo-VI, a somewhat familiar name.

"Asta, I'm heading out for a bit."

"Eh?! But Lady Herta, you only just got back a few days ago."

Before Asta could finish speaking, she noticed that the Herta puppet in front of her had already lost power.

She sighed helplessly.

"Lady Herta really is something else." Shaking her head, Asta glanced at the photo on her phone, calculating something in her mind.

"I'll take it to Peppy and have a look."

...

Godzilla slowly lay down and gestured with its tail for the group to get to work.

Seeing Godzilla's motion, March 7th's previously cheerful face instantly fell.

"Why do Himeko and the others get to go sightseeing and having fun, while I have to work here? We came here to travel too, didn't we!"

"But you were also having fun earlier, and we only ended up here because of the bugs."

Stelle's honest words earned a glare from March 7th.

"One day I'll freeze those annoying bugs into ice sculptures!"

Grumbling, March 7th suddenly looked around.

"Strange, where did Serval go?"

Godzilla lay on the bed, enjoying the techniques of the two new employees on its back.

March 7th was a bit impatient, but Stelle's strength made up for what was lacking.

Its tail curled up comfortably, swinging lazily, and the breeze it stirred up allowed the two to feel cool while working.

The only downside was...

"Almost gone."

Godzilla slightly opened its eyes, gaze fixed on the bedsheet—more precisely, the geomarrow crystal ore under the bedsheet. And not just geomarrow crystal ore. Ever since returning to Belobog, Cocolia had people bring back all the previously collected ore overnight.

Now, when he said it's almost gone, he meant the energy within the ore below was nearly depleted.

At most, it would last another week.

And that was with normal absorption, without any frenzied intake.

What had allowed him to last this long was the Stellaron he had previously swallowed, which helped quite a bit.

"Where should I get more from?" The arc of his tail's swaying widened slightly.

If Serval were here, she would've noticed that Godzilla was thinking—which usually didn't bode well for certain groups of people.

Unfortunately, Serval was off tinkering with something in her little room, while Stelle and March 7th just thought the breeze had become even cooler.

And so, just like that, the two continued working hard, while one Godzilla contemplated where to get his next 'meal'.
