Chapter 51 - chapter 51

Ben's parents didn't stay long after delivering the extraordinary skill. They left quickly, even though Ben had asked them to stay for lunch. It seemed they were in a hurry to return and had only come for a brief visit. After seeing them off at the train station, Ben didn't return to his apartment. Instead, he hailed a taxi and headed toward the sparsely populated outskirts of the city.

Sitting in the car, Ben focused his mind, and his attribute panel appeared in his left eye:

Race: Human

Constitution: 310

Spirit: 101

Strength: 310

Agility: 310

Talent: Kryptonian Bloodline

Skill: Fist Wind Impact

Spirit Points: 350

On his attribute panel, a new line appeared under "Skill"—"Fist Wind Impact." A look of anticipation appeared on Ben's face as he examined the skill.

A few minutes later, the self-driving taxi stopped at the foot of a mountain. This was the destination Ben had set. He paid the driver happily and set the taxi to wait for him for twenty minutes, a convenient feature of the car.

Ben then entered a forest nearby. The area was sparsely populated, and no one should come here, making it the perfect spot to test his new extraordinary skill. He didn't waste any time, aimed at a large tree, and prepared to strike.

Taking a deep breath, Ben clenched his fist and punched out.

"Pa!" The air around his fist exploded. A visible hurricane formed around his fist like an air cannon, blasting everything in its path.

The flowers and plants along the way were instantly crushed, creating a wide "channel." It felt as though a meteorite had struck the ground. The large tree, a bit farther away, cracked, and a deep fissure appeared in the middle of its trunk. The bark was mostly pulverized, leaving large holes. From a distance, it looked like a group of wild boars had wreaked havoc in the area.

Ben smiled in satisfaction as the punch's power dissipated. Although the tree wasn't completely destroyed, the distance between him and the tree was more than ten meters! A punch with such power from such a distance made him feel more than satisfied.

Ben even had the urge to invest all his 350 spirit points into the Strength attribute. However, he quickly dismissed the thought. He was a rational person, and the attributes he had gained from sunbathing were already more than enough. There was no need to waste spirit points on increasing his attributes further.

Spirit points, in addition to increasing attributes, could also improve some talent abilities. Ben knew that keeping spirit points was important for emergencies. If he ever encountered trouble in the Energies of Human realm, he could use spirit points to quickly increase his attributes and counterattack.

Unlike many other students who trained hard and relied on the spirit points provided by the Energies of Human realm to increase their strength, Ben had a different advantage—he could become stronger just by lying down.

After leaving the forest, Ben returned to the city in the taxi.

Later that afternoon, as he was about to take a nap after lunch, Ben's phone rang. It was Adore, calling him to the vice-principal's office. Hearing this, Ben guessed that Leo's efforts had finally yielded results.

At the school, Ben saw the announcement posted by the administration.

"Recently, our school has received reports about Robert from the Academic Affairs Office. After investigation, the situation appears to be true. Robert has been involved in multiple violations and black-box operations during his tenure as the director of the Academic Affairs Office..."

"After reviewing the situation, the President's Office has decided to suspend Robert..."

Ben could hardly believe it. Robert had been directly suspended? While the announcement didn't say it explicitly, Ben knew that Robert must have been the one who transferred him to Class B. Leo's actions had clearly had a major impact.

This was incredible! Leo had done something so bold to stand up for him, and now Robert was facing consequences. However, Ben knew that Leo's actions would likely cause trouble for her in the future. If Leo didn't perform well in the Energies of Human realm, those she had offended would likely turn on her. Ben couldn't allow that to happen.

Determined to protect Leo and ensure her success, Ben decided to support her no matter what.

When he arrived at the vice-principal's office, he was warmly received by the vice-principal. The vice-principal asked him all kinds of questions, clearly because of Leo's influence. Although Ben knew the real reason behind the questions, he couldn't help but feel uncomfortable under the vice-principal's gaze.

Eventually, the vice-principal asked if Ben would be willing to move to Class A. Ben immediately refused. He was happy staying in Class B, especially since it wouldn't affect his ability to team up with Leo.

After that, Ben returned to his usual routine: eating, attending class, and sunbathing. Compared to his classmates who trained tirelessly every day, his life was much more comfortable. Adore also understood that Ben didn't need to train to increase his attributes, so he didn't push him. He would occasionally teach Ben some fighting techniques but left him to his own devices in other matters.

This was why Ben liked staying in Class B. Unlike the other students, who struggled to increase their attributes, he could enjoy a more relaxed life.

Over time, the records that he and Leo had set in the Energies of Human realm became less discussed on the internet. After half a month, not many netizens were still talking about it.

It was June 21st—twenty days since the first level of the Energies of Human realm.

That morning, Ben woke up from his sunbathing device. The first thing he did was check his attribute panel again:

Race: Human

Constitution: 500

Spirit: 158

Strength: 500

Agility: 500

Talent: Kryptonian Bloodline

Skill: Fist Wind Impact

Spirit Points: 350

Ben smiled as he saw that all of his physical attributes—Constitution, Strength, and Agility—had reached 500. According to his panel, his strength was now 50 times that of a normal adult.

Just then, a new prompt appeared in his left eye:

"Constitution attribute reached 500. Hidden talent of Kryptonian bloodline activated: Steel Body!"

"Steel Body: One of the abilities of the Kryptonian bloodline. After activation, you will have a steel-like body, making you invulnerable to swords and guns, greatly enhancing your defensive ability."

"Note: The Steel Body is influenced by the Constitution attribute. Currently, base defense is increased threefold. As your Constitution continues to grow, the Steel Body will provide even greater increases to your defense."

Ben's eyes lit up as he read the prompt. This was the kind of power he had been waiting for—the ability to withstand all attacks and become even stronger. He could feel the power of the Steel Body coursing through him, and he knew that his journey was just beginning.
