Chapter 62 - Epilogue: Our Forever.

(Eloise's POV)

The sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in breathtaking shades of gold and lavender. A warm breeze rustled through the fields of wildflowers, carrying the sweet scent of blooming jasmine through the open windows of our home.

Home.

A word that had once been distant and uncertain. A word that had once meant nothing more than an empty space in my world.

But now... it was here. It was real. It was him.

"Eloise," a deep, familiar voice murmured from behind me, sending warmth straight through my soul.

I turned to find Cauis standing in the doorway, bathed in the last light of day. His golden eyes, once hardened by war and sorrow, now softened with love, with a peace neither of us thought we'd ever find.

And in his arms—

I felt my breath hitch.

Wrapped securely in his strong embrace was our greatest miracle.

Our son.

A tiny bundle of warmth and life, with a tuft of dark hair and golden eyes that shone just like his father's. His tiny fingers curled around Cauis's thumb, his peaceful expression mirroring the serenity that filled the air around us.

Tears pricked my eyes as I reached for them, my heart overflowing with emotions too vast to contain.

Cauis stepped forward, gently placing our son in my arms, and in that moment, I felt the universe settle into place.

We had fought battles—against fate, against kingdoms, against time itself.

But we had won.

"I still can't believe it," I whispered, brushing my fingers across our son's tiny cheek. "We made it."

Cauis leaned down, pressing a tender kiss to my forehead before resting his against mine. "We did," he murmured. "And I swear, Eloise, I will never stop making sure you're happy."

A soft laugh escaped my lips as I gazed at him, the love in his eyes more profound than words could ever describe. "You already have," I whispered. "You always have."

The wind outside carried the scent of rain, the promise of new beginnings.

And as I stood there, with the love of my life and the son we created together, I knew—

This was our happily ever after.

No pages to rewrite.

No fate to change.

Just us.

Forever.
