The three of them ate together. Aside from Chen Shaojie, neither Shen Qingqing nor Shi Yu had much of an appetite.

The braised fish and vegetables were completely finished, but half a roast duck remained, along with over twenty dumplings that hadn't even been boiled yet.
The weather hadn't warmed up yet, so the dumplings could be left on the balcony to freeze overnight without worrying about spoiling.
Since Shen Qingqing lived alone, these leftovers would be enough to sustain her for a whole day.
Only after helping tidy up the house did Shi Yu and Chen Shaojie prepare to leave.
Still feeling uneasy about Shen Qingqing, Shi Yu said, "I'll come check on you tomorrow. Save any chores for me—I'll take care of them when I get here."
