Eventually, Felix ran out of patience. Not that he minded watching Jared suffer like that - Jared deserved it. No matter how painful it was, it couldn't possibly compare to everything Felix and his mother had to endure all those years back in the Moonhill Pack - but unless he wanted to flee the town, he had to send Jared on his way soon.
He clicked his tongue, giving Remi a signal to stop.
"Still not going to reject me?" he asked coldly.
Jared slowly lifted his head. His face was deathly pale, and his eyes blurry. He had suffered a lot, to the point that he was out of strength… But he still shook his head.
It was unbelievable.
"Why? Are you a masochist or what?"
"Your… fa…ther… said… im… portant…" Jared's words were almost unintelligible, but the meaning still got through.
