It was the next day, and Jared was just waking up from his slumber.
Throughout yesterday, he spent it trying to figure out which houses would need to be taken down for new buildings to come in once the workers were done with the construction.
Going over and just breaking houses that belonged to people didn't seem right, so he decided it was best to allow the family or the workers to decide if they wanted it or not.
Although there was no doubt they'd take it the first chance they got.
'Another day, huh... tsk, waking up poor and in a mud house has to be one of the worst feelings ever.'
He blinked.
'I wonder if Lucy is back now.'
With a calm face, he sat upright to get up from the bed when he spotted the little girl lying on the ground reading a book.
She didn't seem all that like a kid; well, if you were to ignore everything else about her, one might consider her a kid due to her overly small stature.
