"Everyone! Get away from the bushes!"
Jared made sure he shouted as loud as he could, trying to get everyone to step away from there.
The entire site was surrounded by trees and bushes; the only reason some parts seemed less dense than others was because most of the trees were being cut down for construction.
In other words, while everyone indeed heard Jared's warning, they couldn't quite tell which part of the bushes he was talking about.
Not only did this now lead to confusion, it also caused a bit of panic as everyone couldn't tell where they should head.
Well, there was only one place.
"Come on! Hurry!"
That was Jessica, taking the initiative to move to the center of the site, her hand resting on an uncompleted building.
The others followed, of course; it was easier to follow someone than make decisions when confused or lost.
