Rocks had made it clear—whoever found the Poneglyph would be richly rewarded.

At that moment, Ayr couldn't help but look forward to the reward he would receive from Rocks D. Xebec himself.

For now, though, he wasn't in a rush to leave the cave.

There could be more treasures hidden within.

---

A Discovery in the Depths

Boom!!!

With a single punch, Ayr shattered another stone gate, sending rubble flying.

Beyond it, his eyes widened.

Jewels. Everywhere.

And at the center of the chamber—several massive treasure chests.

Ayr smirked.

"This treasure map really didn't let me down."

Finding a Poneglyph was already a massive success…

But an unexpected fortune in treasure? That was a bonus.

While Ayr wasn't particularly interested in gold and jewels, he knew their true value.

Bailey.

With enough money, he could buy Devil Fruits in bulk.

Without hesitation, he stored all the jewels and gold in Kurama's spiritual space before turning his attention to the treasure chests.

---

A Shocking Find

"Kakaka!"

The first chest creaked open.

Inside—two Devil Fruits.

Ayr blinked in surprise. "No way…!"

Hurriedly, he pried open the remaining chests.

Each one contained two Devil Fruits.

A total of six.

Ayr couldn't help but chuckle. "This day just keeps getting better."

Not only had he found the last Poneglyph, but now he had a hoard of Devil Fruits to go along with it.

Just as he grabbed one, his system chimed in.

---

"Ding! Detected Devil Fruit in Host's possession. Do you wish to use it to unlock Two-Tails?"

Ayr's eyes flashed. "Yes."

"Ding! Congratulations, Host! Consumed four Devil Fruits to unlock Two-Tails!"

Ayr frowned slightly.

When he unlocked One-Tail, the system had required three Devil Fruits.

Now, four were needed for Two-Tails.

Did that mean unlocking each subsequent Tailed Beast would require more Devil Fruits?

As he pondered, a surge of energy coursed through his body.

It was the unmistakable Chakra of the Two-Tails, merging seamlessly with Kurama's power.

Now, whenever Ayr tapped into Nine-Tails' abilities, they would be stronger than ever.

---

Onward to Rocks' Crew

Ayr glanced at the two remaining Devil Fruits before storing them in Kurama's spiritual space.

They weren't enough to unlock Three-Tails.

According to the pattern, he would need five Devil Fruits for that.

With the cave thoroughly searched and no more treasures left, Ayr nodded to himself.

"Time to leave."

He returned to the Poneglyph, placing a hand on the ancient text.

Today's haul was beyond successful—

The final Poneglyph

A fortune in jewels

Six Devil Fruits

And the Chakra of Two-Tails

Now, all that was left was to return to the Rocks Pirates and claim his reward.

Ayr hoisted the massive Poneglyph and carried it to his ship, carefully placing it in the cargo hold.

Then, he reached into his pocket and retrieved something else—Rocks' life paper.

Before splitting up, Rocks had entrusted a piece of his life paper to all his top officers, ensuring they could always find their way back.

Setting his course, Ayr followed the paper's pull.

---

A Dangerous Sea

As his ship cut through the waves, Ayr stood by the railing, gazing down at the crystal-clear waters below.

Beneath the surface, massive shadows slithered.

Sea Kings.

They were everywhere.

Ayr narrowed his eyes. "This must be a Sea Kings' nesting ground…"

In the depths of the New World, there existed specific zones where Sea Kings gathered in overwhelming numbers.

And Ayr had sailed right into one.

Just as he was contemplating whether to take a different route—

"Crash!!!"

A loud splash drew his attention.

Turning his gaze, he spotted a ship emerging from the fog behind him.

At its bow stood a familiar face.

---

An Encounter With John

"John?"

Ayr immediately recognized the cadre of the Rocks Pirates.

Just like him, John was returning to the crew, following the pull of Rocks' life paper.

However, unlike Ayr, John hadn't found anything.

As soon as they locked eyes, John spoke with his usual indifference.

"Ayr? I didn't expect to run into you here."

There was no real animosity between them, but they weren't exactly friends either.

Ayr smirked.

"John… You're still alive? I read a report a few months ago saying you ran into a Marine fleet and went missing."

John's face darkened instantly.

A few months ago, he had been ambushed by Vice Admiral Zephyr.

After a grueling battle, he barely escaped by diving into the sea, using his superior swimming skills and breath control to evade capture.

Even so, he had barely survived, and his body still bore the scars of that encounter.

Now, hearing Ayr casually bring it up again—

"You bastard!!!"

John's expression twisted with rage.

But before their conversation could escalate—

---

A New Threat Emerges

"C-Captain John!!!"

A panicked pirate on John's crew suddenly pointed ahead, voice trembling.

"There's… a battle up ahead! Two giant Sea Kings are fighting!!"

John and Ayr both turned their gazes forward.

And what they saw made their expressions turn serious.

---

A Clash of Titans

Ahead, the sea churned violently.

Two massive Sea Kings, each hundreds of meters long, were locked in a vicious struggle.

The sheer force of their battle sent massive waves rippling across the ocean.

One was a serpentine dragon-like beast, its golden scales glinting under the sunlight.

The other resembled a colossal kraken, its tentacles writhing and smashing against the serpent's body.

Ayr crossed his arms, watching the battle unfold.

"Well, that's something you don't see every day."

John's expression was far less amused.

"Damn it. If we get caught in that mess, we're dead."

Ayr smirked. "What's wrong, John? Afraid of a little sea monster?"

John gritted his teeth. "If you're so confident, why don't you fight them yourself?"

Ayr chuckled, cracking his knuckles.

"Now there's an idea… but let's see how this plays out first."

For now, the best course of action was to observe.

One wrong move in these waters could spell certain death.

But Ayr had a feeling…

This encounter wasn't just a random event.

It was leading to something bigger.
