Chapter 167 - Chapter 167: Yae Miko

Kuroda looked at the crowd gathered before him and explained helplessly.

"That's what I've been saying for a week now."

"Still no sequel from Teacher Zhenyü?"

a woman asked Kuroda curiously.

"And what about 'The Secrets Between the Immortal Lord and the Emperor'?"

"Will there be a sequel?!"

several pretty girls in the crowd asked excitedly.

"Oh my~"

"Look how impatient these little ones are getting. We're working on it, aren't we?"

Just then, a stunningly beautiful woman appeared.

She had smooth pink hair tied at the ends, with fox ears adorned with purple gem earrings.

The earring on her right ear was set with her Electro Vision.

She wore a shrine maiden outfit primarily in red and white colors, with separated flowing sleeves fixed at the upper arms.

A large black obi was tied at her back, her legs were bare, and she wore wooden sandals.

"The Shrine Maiden is here."

"Finally, we can breathe a sigh of relief."

Kuroda looked at the beautiful woman approaching and let out a long sigh.

"But Lady Guuji, didn't you say recently..."

"That Teacher Zhenyü sequel would be out in a few days?"

"But now..."

Just as the pretty young woman was about to continue speaking, Yae Miko lifted her chin with one finger.

"No talking back, little one."

Yae Miko said with narrowed eyes, bringing her face close to the young woman.

"I..."

The girl blushed and began to stammer, flustered by Yae Miko behavior.

"She's even more beautiful than Yae Miko in the game."

"Though her behavior is just as mischievous."

Qiu Bai observed Yae Miko with amusement before walking toward the Yae Publishing House.

"Oh?"

Yae Miko beautiful eyes focused as she noticed the book in Qiu Bai hand.

"Alright, everyone go home now."

"I promise, Teacher Zhenyü sequel will be released tomorrow."

Yae Miko said with a smile, her arms crossed over her chest as she addressed the crowd.

"Can we trust Lady Guuji word?"

"Let's go. It's just one more day, no hurry."

The Inazumans looked at each other before dispersing.

"It seems the person I've been waiting for has arrived."

"Mr. Qiu Bai, the consultant from Liyue's Wangsheng Funeral Parlor, correct?"

Yae Miko said with a light chuckle as she watched Qiu Bai approach.

"Oh? I didn't expect Lady Guuji to recognize me."

Qiu Bai said with a smile as he reached Yae Miko.

"Indeed, you've kept me waiting quite painfully~"

"The little ones were so sad without their new novel, it was pitiful."

Yae Miko said in an exaggerated tone.

"Lady Guuji exaggerates."

"Here is Teacher Zhenyü sequel for you."

Qiu Bai lips twitched at Yae Miko expression as he handed over the book and explained the revenue distribution.

"You get three parts, Teacher Zhenyü gets five..."

"And the remaining two parts go to our Yae Publishing House, correct?"

Yae Miko said after thinking for a moment.

"Is there a problem?"

Qiu Bai asked, puzzled.

"No problem, no problem at all."

"Hehehe~"

Yae Miko laughed softly, covering her mouth.

"If there's no problem, then I'll be going."

Qiu Bai said with a smile.

"Wait, please sign this document."

"Come here at noon every Sunday to collect your three parts."

Yae Miko said, producing a piece of paper.

Qiu Bai walked over and signed his name. Throughout this process, Yae Miko kept staring at him, her thoughts unclear.

"Though compared to Teacher Zhenyü books, I'm more interested in you."

Yae Miko said with a smile after he finished signing.

"I'm merely a consultant for the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor."

"What interest could Lady Guuji have in me?"

Qiu Bai said with a light laugh, watching the cherry blossoms floating in the air before walking toward the street.

"Indeed."

"It's precisely because you're a consultant for the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor that I'm interested in you..."

Yae Miko murmured as she watched Qiu Bai walk away.

The Ministry of Civil Affairs seemed to have reached some agreement with Tianquan, one of Liyue's Qixing, allowing Mr. Qiu Bai unrestricted passage through Inazuma.

Moreover, she had heard that the Fatui had issued an order—if someone was affiliated with Liyue's Wangsheng Funeral Parlor, they were not to be provoked.

Especially Mr. Qiu Bai, Mr. Zhongli and the one called Azhdaha.

But the most dangerous one to provoke was the young lady named Hu Tao, as she was their director.

Out of curiosity, she had recently captured a Fatui agent.

He said something about the Maiden returning to Snezhnaya, entering the palace to speak with Her Majesty the Tsaritsa, and immediately issuing this order to all Fatui Harbingers.

"What a curious little one."

"Hehe~"

Yae Miko smiled lightly as she watched Qiu Bai retreating figure.

"Kuroda, have this book printed before noon tomorrow."

"Remember, I want to be the first to read it."

Yae Miko said, tossing "Autumn Sword Chronicles II" to Kuroda with special emphasis.

She then strode gracefully toward the other side of the street.

"Qiu Bai, is it?"

"I'm becoming more and more curious about your identity."

Yae Miko said with a slight smile. A fox curiosity was quite strong, after all.

"I wonder..."

"What will the system task reward be?"

Qiu Bai stretched lazily, pondering curiously.

[Ding!]

[Host has completed the system task!]

[Rewarding host with increased proficiency in using Yin-Yang principles!]

As the mechanical voice of the system faded, Qiu Bai felt a warm flow of energy within his body.

With his eyes slightly closed, he sensed the changes in his body and revealed a pleased smile.

"After the Azhdaha incident..."

"I hadn't practiced much yet, so this saves me a lot of time."

Qiu Bai murmured with a smile.

He had planned to try using the principles after the Azhdaha matter was resolved, so this was a good reward.

He could feel that now, launching such an attack would require much less charging time.

After considering this for a moment, Qiu Bai shook his head and continued walking forward.

"Excuse me... Are you Mr. Qiu Bai?"

Just then, a sweet, uncertain female voice rang out clearly in front of Qiu Bai.

Qiu Bai raised his head to look ahead.

A young woman was approaching.

She had gray-blue eyes beneath thick bangs, snow-white hair tied in a high ponytail, with a samurai helmet-like ornament on her hair tie.

Two side locks of hair were tied in twin-tail style, and she had a beauty mark at the corner of her left eye.

She wore a gradient blue haori and a dark blue pleated skirt decorated with patterns of falling cherry blossoms and flowing water.

"Isn't this Kamisato Ayaka?" Qiu Bai thought to himself with amusement as he looked at the figure before him.
