It had been less than two months since Mia left the company, and with the rumours that had been flying around, Roxanne thought that her chances of running into Mia had turned even slimmer. She never expected that she would one day run into Mia again, and that too in the Holman corporation.
"Roxanne", Mia greeted the woman, though she lacked enthusiasm. In fact, she silently wondered why the woman was suddenly acting as if the two of them were good friends when Roxanne had tried to engage in direct and indirect battles when the two of them were working for Henry.
When Roxanne saw Mia's wary expression, she smiled awkwardly. She said, "I would like to apologise to you. The last time you told me that Jamie has always made things difficult for you, I didn't believe it. It was only when I was in your shoes that I understood your predicament."
