When Verena turned around, she was met with a shocking sight where Sera clung to the window, her fingers barely holding on to the wooden frame.
"OPEN THE GODDAMN WINDOW!"
"S-Sera?!"
Verena shot up from her seat in a panic, scrambling toward the window. She fumbled with the latch before finally shoving it upward, just in time to catch Sera teetering dangerously with one foot still on a precarious tree branch.
Without thinking, Verena reached out and grabbed the girl's arm, her eyes widening as she took in the scene.
Sera had climbed the tree, leaping through knotted branches and snapping twigs just to get to the window.
So reckless!
"JUST PULL ME ALREADY!"
"What kind of knight makes demands like this?!"
Groaning, Verena grabbed Sera's other arm and, with no other option, hauled the girl inside with all the strength she could muster.
"Fina—" she began, but the sudden loss of momentum caught her off guard.
