"All right, and that concluded our first class of heroics. Some of you did better than others, but overall, I'm impressed. Your careers as heroes just might be fruitful"
All Might announced to the student before him, who seemed just about ready to collapse, even after all have taken showers, it seems it's not that easy to get rid of fatigue, luckily for them, launch should be right after.
"You can go back to your class"
He said, and he heard their relieved sighs and smiled. With that said, he turned on his heel and made his way towards the teachers' lounge. He needed to convene with Aizawa and get his thoughts and insights on the students.
With All Might leaving ground beta, the rest of the class followed suit and made their way towards the classroom together.
"Oh my God, I'm so tired!"
Mina expressed, with great exasperation in her voice, she was dragging her feet and slouching her posture.
"And the fact we still have classes after lunch break is crazy to me"
It was Taro who spoke, sympathising with her plight, although personally he didn't feel that much tired, as he wasn't as physically taxed as the rest of them.
"freaking hell, you're right! how am I not supposed to fall asleep in class"
Denki said, realising there was no way he could stay away the entire time. Heroics was their first class of the day, meaning it was still morning, and they had plenty of classes left.
"You'll never be actual heroes if this is enough to get you to complain!"
Bakugou said from the back of the ground, his arms folded and his face wearing his typical scowl.
"Oh please, I know for a fact your arms hurt hell right now, You fought two battles and have been using your quirk throughout the match"
Of course, in obvious fashion, Taro was the first to disagree with the blonde boy.
"Ha! so you admit I did most of the heavy lifting during the match"
"I was never denying your contribution, but you are the reason we lost, so take accountability"
Taro responded and caused the blonde young man to let out a grumble before he relented and whispered the word "fine", Taro was going to ask him to speak louder. However Momo spoke first
"Bakugou is right"
"He is?"
Everyone spoke in unison as they all turned to look at Momo with surprised looks on their faces.
"Why are you all acting like I can't be right!"
Bakugou said in protest, but his words were ignored.
"I'm saying he's right in the sense we shouldn't be complaining about this and should take it as only the beginning"
She clarified and got a few nods from the rest.
"She is right, in Highschool we were never allowed to to use out quirks, here however we'll practically use them everyday, so we need to get used to being tired and still be expected to attend classes"
Iida quickly explained while making sure his glasses were correctly positioned on his face. His words made sense, This was a university, and they were being prepared to become heroes as such, they need to get used to being tired and yet still be expected to do other things.
"Iida is right, All Might used to be active a lot and did hero work for hours, always moving to different locations. I'm sure he was tired a lot, but he didn't let that get in his way"
Tsuyu offered her thoughts on the matter. However, everyone seemed reluctant to agree with her. After all, All Might was All Might. One cannot be expected to do as he did, exactly the same way.
"Nah, being a hero doesn't mean you don't get to rest, not to mention there's plenty of heroes already, so you don't need to work yourself to the bone like that"
As the only one amongst them who did not wish to become a hero, he saw no point in working yourself to the bone just to be a hero in a society where heroes permeated every corner.
"I have to side with Taro on this, although I agree with Tsuyu, but rest is as important as everything else, working out with taking time to breathe is detrimental to the body"
Kirishima said his tone neutral, but one could hear the tiredness hidden deep in his voice. He was also amongst the ones who worked the hardest during his match against Taro's team.
"At least we get to relax since we're getting a break after this, plus we have a free period, so we'll get some good rest in"
Kyouka informed the group while staring at her phone, looking at her time table, it was a good thing that her classmates shared the same timetable and had the same classes as her.
"Oh thank God! I was sure I was going to sleep in class if we didn't have a free period."
Denki said so, feeling relieved about getting at least some level of rest before other classes.
With that having been said, the topic of conversation swiftly changed as students made their way to class
...
Shigaraki held the tablet in his hands. Its screen had been a bit too bright for his liking, and he had to set it to darkmode to ease the strain on his eyes.
He scrolled slowly, skimming through the long list of names. Some were well known others too obscure to be worth anything, but that mattered little to him.
"While the list is easy enough to procure, I doubt most would be willing to storm into a UA facility and go up against the likes of All Might."
Girran advised as he gleefully counted the stack of bills in his hands. It seems that despite his personality, Shigaraki paid very well.
"It doesn't matter,I don't need gutless fools in our group, The league of villains aims to tear down and destroy this society of false idols and in order to succeed, killing All Might as well as anyone that follows his ideal is only the start"
The villain explained. They had managed to get a great list of heroes, including their identities when they made a visit to UA, of course the correct course would be sell it or release it publicly and have every villain go after the heroes.
However, his master had warned against such an idea, at least not so soon, first kill All Might and destroy UA, let the people simmer in the despair and hopelessness of losing the symbol of peace.
Once that's done, strike again. This time force the heroes to be the ones on the run, turn the tables, and give the villains the upper hand. Create an inverse status quo in which heroes become the villains and villains become the heroes.
"Indeed Tomura Shigaraki, by destroying the symbol of peace, we lay the groundwork for the destruction of hero society as a whole."
Ever the yes man, Kurogiri concurred while slowly cleaning the glass in his hands. Girran, on the other hand, did not care, as long as they paid for his information, then there would be no issues from him.
Shigaraki skimming through the list of villains suddenly stopped, and a particular villain caught his eye. The face was covered by a black mask revealing only the eyes. even through the picture, Shigaraki could see the hatred buried within such eyes.
"This is it. This is exactly what I'm looking for"
He exclaimed loudly and surprised the two people in the room with him. He then turned the device towards Girran to give him an idea of what he's looking for.
"Oh that guy, yeah, he'll fit right in with your group, Duple-limbs is definitely your kind of guy"
Girran answered as he saw who Shigaraki was talking about having met the guy once he knew first hand that his hatred for heroes as well as anyone who believes in heroic ideals was real.
"Yes I know I can see it in his eyes, so what's his deal? Where can we find him?"
Shigaraki stated flatly as he questioned Girran.
"Well he tends to move around, very stoic, but his deal is anti-quirk racism"
The broker answered as he tried to recall the backstory of the villain named Duple-limbs.
"Oh I've heard about that, although it's not exactly ant-quirk racism but simply ignorant fools who can't stand something different.
Shigaraki answered, He understood that some people just can't handle something that is different from them. The very first time quirk became a thing and the quirkless were a majority, they very much were not comfortable with the idea of people having the power to destroy buildings with nothing but a swing of their arms.
Eventually, they had to accept it, and by the time 50% of the population had quirks, it was normal, and people had changed their minds, and now it's stranger to not have a quirk.
Unfortunately however, humans don't really change that much and tend to not like things that don't look like them, so if you happen to look like a lizard, people will treat you like a lizard.
It's not just the quirkless that think this way but people who also have quirks and don't look like freaks
"Contact him for us, Girran. He'll fit perfectly within the league of villains."
Shigaraki ordered before going back and looking through the list again, this time paying careful attention to each name and face. He was feeling a little bit motivated now, looking like their plans were going just the way they wanted.
....
A/N: As you can see, I'll be using some of the discarded 1A students as villains.
