Chapter 120 - Mother's Found

POV: Luna Seraphina Winters

The silver collar around my neck finally snapped.

After eighteen years of burning pain, eighteen years of feeling like I was choking on my own power, I could breathe again. I ripped the broken pieces away and threw them across the underground cell where I'd been kept prisoner.

"Free," I whispered, my voice raw from years of shouting.

But even as I said it, I knew it wasn't true. My body might be free, but my head was still trapped by everything I'd learned during my captivity.

The door to my cell hung open, destroyed by the earthquake that had cracked the jail walls. In the distance, I could hear other prisoners fleeing, their howls of rage echoing through the tunnels.

I had to find Amara before they did.

My legs shook as I stood up. Eighteen years of barely moving had left me weak, but my wolf healing was already working to fix the damage. I could feel strength returning to my muscles with each passing second.
