Chapter 45 - Chapter 45 : The only king

"Roar!"

Looking at the Leopard King in front of him, now reduced to the size of an ordinary cat yet still baring its teeth at him, Ren couldn't help but feel amused.

Staring into Ren's smiling eyes, Grimmjow suddenly felt a chill under his crotch and subconsciously tightened his hind legs.

"Grimmjow, I will let you live. How about it?"

"You think that if I become Vasto Lorde, I will definitely defeat you! You're just relying on a higher level to suppress me!"

Hearing Grimmjow's words, Ren burst out laughing.

"Hahaha, what a stubborn kitten!"

Obviously, Grimmjow also regarded Ren as a Vasto Lorde. If he knew that Ren was just a Gillian, his expression would be priceless. But Ren had no interest in explaining so much.

A dark golden thunderball appeared in Ren's left hand. The strange fish and the red goat beside him changed their expressions upon seeing it. They had once been controlled by Ren's thunderball, which was why they had obeyed him. Even though three years had passed and they had truly surrendered, the sight of that thunderball still filled them with fear.

Without hesitation, Ren grabbed Grimmjow's neck with his right hand and forcibly stuffed the thunderball into his mouth with his left, making him whimper uncontrollably.

Then, looking at Grimmjow's defiant expression, Ren spoke slowly.

"Kitten, I know you think I'm suppressing you with my strength as a Vasto Lorde, and that frustrates you."

"Swear allegiance to me, and I will give you the opportunity to grow stronger. If one day you can defeat me, I will lift the thunderball's restriction and even recognize you as my superior. You will be the only one who can challenge me!"

"But if you refuse, I will have no choice but to make you a part of me."

"I'll give you five seconds to decide!"

Ren raised his left hand, crackling with energy, and aimed at Grimmjow's head.

"Five!"

"Four!"

"Three!"

"Two!"

"I... I will surrender!"

Just as the terrifying energy was about to blast through his skull, Grimmjow finally relented.

"Good. Obedient kitten. My name is Ren. Remember it well. If you think you have enough strength, come and defeat me!"

"Until then, I am your only king!"

With that, Ren relaxed his left hand, and the impending energy attack dissipated instantly.

Seeing this, Grimmjow, still restrained in his right hand, widened his eyes in disbelief.

"How is this kind of control... possible?"

When Ren had raised his hand to release the attack, Grimmjow had been sure it was inevitable. A charged attack, once primed, was like a grenade with the pin pulled—stopping it midway would normally result in self-inflicted injury. And yet, Ren had simply made it disappear as if it never existed. His control over his spiritual pressure had reached a terrifying level.

Without another word, Ren casually tossed Grimmjow aside. The feline-like Hollow tumbled seven or eight times across the desert before finally stabilizing himself.

"Puh!"

As Ren snapped his fingers, Grimmjow felt the suppressing spiritual pressure around him vanish. In an instant, he returned to his original size.

"Go and grow stronger. You are still too immature to stand beside your king!"

Grimmjow, now back to his full form, was stunned. Then, disbelief filled his expression.

"You're really letting me go?"

"Do you want me to stop you?"

Hearing this, Grimmjow instinctively tensed and distanced himself. But after confirming that Ren truly had no intention of pursuing him, he left with confidence.

"My king, are you really letting him go? Should we retrieve him?" Yuan Perk, the red goat with a charred body, asked in a muffled voice.

"Bang!"

The strange fish rushed over and smacked the red goat on the head with its tail.

"Idiot! The king has his reasons for letting him go. If you want to chase him down, make sure you can defeat him first!"

Ren looked at his two subordinates, their antics making the corners of his mouth twitch. He felt a sudden urge to devour them both.

In truth, Ren let Grimmjow leave because he had observed his spiritual pressure and realized that Grimmjow had just been promoted to Adjuchas. He had yet to reach the strength he would possess in the original timeline. Keeping him too close too soon would only hinder his growth. After all, Ren had barely hunted enough Hollows for himself. Could he really afford to share?

Ren still has to give him some freedom to be promoted to Vastode's subordinates. Besides, there is a thunder ball planted by Ren in his body. As long as he doesn't leave the empty circle, Ren can know where he is. Whether to kill him is just an idea.

Los Noches Palace Located in the deepest part of the Void Circle Desert, it is also the most rich place for the entire Void Circle Spirit. The huge circular building is like a giant stone bowl pressed upside down in the desert, and there are four giant pillars hanging like the sky around Los Noches Palace. Unlike ordinary palaces, Los Noches Palace has no roof. In the main hall of the Palace, a human-shaped skeleton on the highest throne was wearing a pitch-black robe and a golden crown. It is the current King of the Void Circle, Beligang Ruisenbang.

"The great Majesty Bailegang, we found the trace of the female Vasto Lorde at the southern end of the sand sea, but she still did not want to surrender to you." A half-human tiger, knelt on one knee and reported to Beligang, at the top of the throne.

"The ignorant person dares to disobey the only master of the empty circle and attack her!" Seeing that the atmosphere was almost set off, Bailegang slowly stood up. "I am the king of the Void Circle, the King of the Void Circle, Beligang Ruisenbang! I will fight against such rebels!" In this way, Beligang took most of the Adjuchas away from the Palace, but when they left, they did not notice that in a corner of the entrance to the Palace, there was a tiny centipede drilling from the sand layer.

In the distance, Ren observed through his clone who was staying at the gate of Los Noches Palace, that Beligang led the large army away from the Palace. Through spiritual pressure, he sensed that there were still sixty-three Adjuchas left in the Palace. "It's almost enough!" Ren's expression was quite excited. He had been waiting for this opportunity for a long time! Originally, Ren's original plan was to pay attention to when Aizen conquered Beligang, he would take the opportunity to find a bargain. Unexpectedly, before Aizen came, Beligang could not hold back his anger. And the sixty three Adjuchas who are left behind in the Palace are clearly the food for Ren.

"Hehehehehehehe!" Ren was so excited that he laughed out loud. The strange fish and the red goat on the side were trembling.

At this moment, Ren's voice came quietly: "Wait for me here, I'll be back!" Before he finished speaking, he turned into a ray of lightning and headed straight for the Palace!
