Chapter 105 - The Duel Reaches its Climax!

Naturally, the commotion at Silver Dusk Palace did not go unnoticed. The clanging of metal, the shaking ground, and the unnatural gusts of wind panicked the surrounding residents—especially the officials and powerful individuals living in the Greenwich area.

They thought a terrorist attack was underway. Screams of fear echoed from afar, and some people began running for cover, while others peered out of their windows with pale faces. However, amidst the chaos, Ren and Doni continued to fight, completely immersed in their own world, oblivious to what was happening around them.

Realizing the situation was increasingly out of control, Alice seized the moment when both Campiones were focused on their battle. With a swift movement, she sent a message telepathically to every member of Witenagemot.

"Evacuate everyone in Greenwich immediately!"

The mages moved swiftly, using magic to transport the residents away from the danger zone as quickly as possible.

Alice knew that if Ren and Doni started using their Divine Authorities, the damage inflicted would not be limited to Greenwich alone.

During the battle on Canvey Island against the Mayan Sun God, Kinich Ahau, Alice saw Ren use the Nine Suns Strike—a Divine Authorities that turned arrows into nine small sun balls that incinerated everything in their path. If that attack were unleashed and hit land, not only would Greenwich vanish—a large part of England could be affected. Buildings would melt, the ground would be scorched, and the sky would be filled with thick black smoke.

'Hopefully, King Ren won't use that ultimate attack he showed back then. Now that he has six additional Divine Authorities, he won't use it, will he?'

Lamenting the unpredictability of Ren's temperament, Alice could only pray resignedly.

On the other hand, the commotion outside Silver Dusk Palace caught Hayasaka Ai's attention. The blonde-haired girl was studying magic in the palace library with an old scholar from Witenagemot when the sounds of impact and faint vibrations began to be felt.

"What's all this commotion?"

She closed the thick book in front of her, her brow furrowed, and hurried out to find out what was happening. In the front yard, she found Alice, standing with a tense expression while looking towards the fight.

"What's going on, Princess Alice?" Hayasaka asked, her tone full of confusion mixed with worry.

"Sigh..."

Alice turned to her, then let out a short sigh before answering.

"The Sixth Campione, Salvatore Doni, came to challenge King Ren to a duel. They're fighting out there now."

Hearing the mention of the Sixth Campione and the word duel, Hayasaka immediately remembered the incident on Aogashima Island, when Ren dueled with Godou. She still remembered how devastating that battle was—earthquakes and the turbulent sea caused by the clash of two beings far beyond ordinary humans.

"Why don't they fight in a place where there are no people?"

Hearing Hayasaka's normal question, Alice sighed again, this time longer, full of helplessness.

"I've tried to persuade them, but they wouldn't listen. That's how Campiones are—stubborn and rarely willing to listen to other people's opinions. That's why they're called Demon Kings on earth. Their nature is like that of tyrants."

"I see. I understand Princess Alice's point."

Hayasaka nodded slowly, understanding the explanation. She knew Ren's dominating personality very well.

With magic protection from Alice, Hayasaka was shielded from the shockwaves and invisible sword energy that cut through anything in its path.

Although her eyes couldn't follow the speed of Ren and Doni—only blurred figures flashing with the sound of clanging metal and sparks—Hayasaka continued to look towards them.

"I hope Ren-sama wins." She said softly, almost whispering to herself.

After all, Ren was her master and husband, and even though she knew very well the man's depraved and selfish nature, there was a part of her that still supported his victory.

*SWOOSH!* *SWOOSH!* *SWOOSH!*

*CLANG!* *CLING!* *CLANG!* *CLING!*

*BOOM!* *BOOM!* *BOOM!*

In the midst of the increasingly heated battle, Doni suddenly stepped back and lowered his sword. His eyes looked at Ren, who stood with his clothes tattered, torn in various places by his sword slashes.

Shallow scratch wounds were visible on Ren's arms, shoulders, and sides, with thin red blood flowing slowly. In contrast, Doni seemed almost untouched—his clothes were slightly disheveled, but there were no significant injuries. Clearly, in this sword fight, he had the upper hand.

Ren wiped the blood flowing from a scratch on his cheek with the back of his hand, his brow furrowed in astonishment.

"What's wrong, Doni? Even though we just met, I know you're not the type of guy who would stop in the middle of a fight."

Doni shook his head, a small smile appearing on his face.

"This isn't fun anymore. This swordsmanship fight... you're not a pure swordsman, Ren. I don't like oppressing others with my superiority. So, let's level up—use your Divine Authorities for the next attack."

"I possess a sword power that no one in this world can oppose. Initially, I didn't want to use it. After all, it can no longer be called my swordsmanship—it's just a kind of opportunistic power. But it would be impolite if I didn't show you my true strength, Ren."

Far from feeling afraid, Ren actually grinned widely upon hearing that explanation. He knew Doni wasn't making things up—there was something far more dangerous behind those casual words.

"Good. Coincidentally, I also wanted to show you my newest Divine Authorities. And it's also a sword power." He replied enthusiastically.

Doni widened his eyes, then laughed loudly. "Hahaha! Perfect! Let's decide which sword Divine Authorities is stronger!"

*BUZZ!*

The two reached an agreement without the need for more words. In an instant, magical energy began to surge from their bodies. The aura they emitted was many times more terrifying than before, like two storms ready to destroy each other.

The air around Silver Dusk Palace became heavy, the ground beneath their feet vibrated subtly, and the wind began to roar even though there was no natural reason for it. The afternoon sunlight, which had been warm just moments ago, now felt dim under the pressure of the power that was beginning to awaken.

The duel had reached its climax—and this was no longer just a physical fight, but a clash of two Divine Authorities from two gods originating from two different mythologies, each of which the two men had seized after defeating those gods!
