Chapter 140 - Chapter 137: One Bag of Rice Against a Few Floors! No Escape!

In a cave far from Konoha, Nagato watched in silence.

His most powerful body—Pain—was stuck headfirst in the ground, completely helpless.

Not a single word of his grand speech had made it out before he got hammered into the dirt.

Nagato's face twitched.

He felt an unfamiliar sensation.

Embarrassment.

And deep, deep frustration.

This is ridiculous.

He couldn't let this slide.

Determination flared in his eyes as a surge of chakra exploded from his frail body. The cave shook violently, the sheer energy cracking the rocky ground beneath him.

Konan's eyes widened in alarm.

"Nagato!"

His voice remained calm but firm.

"I will amplify my chakra output and use the strongest Almighty Push. Konoha will be wiped out in one blow."

Konan looked at him, worry etched on her face.

"Nagato, your body—!"

"If we back down now," he interrupted, "our entire plan could fail."

Meanwhile, back in Konoha, the once-busy streets were nothing but a crater.

At the center of the destruction, Pain's head was the only thing left above ground.

Standing over him, club in hand, was Sakiya.

Her right eye flashed red, gaze locked onto her opponent.

"In my domain, all your attacks are useless."

Pain, his head awkwardly sticking out of the dirt, stared up at her.

He didn't blink.

After a long pause, he spoke.

"This is nothing but an illusion. Against overwhelming power, everything is meaningless."

Sasuke and Itachi, watching from a distance, exchanged looks.

Something about this whole scene…

It just felt off.

The guy who was literally buried in the ground was talking about overwhelming power.

Was he mocking himself?

Before they could process it, Sakiya swung her club down again.

BOOM.

The hit landed.

This time, she didn't even put much force into it.

It just made a nice, satisfying thud.

Sakiya rested her club on her shoulder, staring down at Pain with a smirk of pure disdain.

"Tch. Just another so-called 'god' who can't even back up his own words."

Pain's eye twitched.

Enough.

His chakra was fully charged.

Time to end this.

His Rinnegan flared, and with a voice full of conviction, he declared:

"Then let me show you the true power of a god!"

A surge of white light exploded from his body.

Chakra pulsed through the battlefield, warping the air.

The strongest Almighty Push had begun.

But Sakiya's eye flickered open.

She saw it.

The invisible force.

Its movement.

Its endpoint.

She didn't need to move, didn't need to counterattack.

Just by looking at it, her power erased it.

The Almighty Push collapsed on itself—vanishing before it could even expand.

Pain froze.

For the first time in his life, he felt powerless.

The ground beneath him was barely disturbed.

Only a small crater surrounded him.

He had released his strongest attack.

But nothing happened.

His chakra was spent.

His cooldown period had already begun.

And yet…

His attack had simply disappeared.

He slowly lifted his gaze.

Sakiya was grinning at him.

A sharp-toothed, unhinged grin.

And then…

"Mweheheheheh… AHAHAHAHAHA!!"

She covered one eye, laughing like a maniac.

As she removed her blindfold, a glowing red eye shone from beneath.

"YES! YOU SEE IT, DON'T YOU?! THE EYE THAT SHATTERS REALITY! THE SUPREME EYE OF LIMITLESS DIMENSIONS! THE POWER THAT RENDS THE VERY FABRIC OF EXISTENCE ITSELF! TREMBLE BEFORE ITS GLORY!"

Sasuke, watching from the side, felt a chill crawl up his spine.

…What is wrong with this girl?!

Pain, however, remained unfazed.

"I've already seen your left eye," he said coldly. "It's normal."

"…What?"

"You're just using an illusion to create the appearance of some 'special' eye. This ridiculous act is simply a distraction—a cover for whatever technique you used to nullify my attack."

Sakiya's laughter stopped.

The atmosphere shifted.

A deep silence filled the air.

Pain calmly continued.

"Cheap tricks and pointless illusions. This entire performance… was stupid."

CRACK.

The ground beneath Sakiya's feet split apart.

A sharp vein bulged on her forehead.

Her aura spiked violently.

And then—

She swung her club.

-----

Sasuke had seen many things in battle. He had witnessed raw power, cunning tactics, and unbreakable will.

But this…

This was something else entirely.

For the first time, he saw Sakiya truly angry.

And Pain—oblivious to the storm about to hit him—was still talking.

"Such childish tricks can only deceive the weak. Against true power, they are meaningless."

That was the last thing he managed to say.

Sakiya moved.

She exploded off the ground, lightning crackling around her as she grabbed her massive club.

In one fluid motion, she swung—

Right at Pain's head.

BOOM!

A deafening impact shattered the battlefield.

Pain disappeared—his body blasted away like a ragdoll, smashing into the earth. The ground ripped apart, sending chunks of rock and dirt flying as his form tore through the terrain.

His body didn't just land.

It plowed.

He was buried, carving a deep trench through Konoha and beyond—

Until he was gone.

Silence.

Absolute silence.

Sasuke's jaw dropped.

Itachi's normally composed expression showed genuine disbelief.

Sakiya stood there, club still raised. After a long pause, she exhaled, wiped her forehead, and grinned.

"Whew~"

Then she put a hand over her eyes, peering into the distance where Pain had vanished.

"Ooh~ full score!"

She nodded in satisfaction.

"I call that move… 'The Absolute Reaper's Strike.'"

Sasuke shivered.

A single thought cemented itself in his mind:

Never, ever piss her off.

Rule #1: Never mention her… eccentric side.

Rule #2: NEVER call her stupid.

Ever.

He gulped, remembering the sheer force behind that swing.

Sakiya suddenly turned to him, her usual cheerful smile back on her face.

"So, Dark Knight! My Eye of Death is strong, right?"

Sasuke's back tensed.

Cold sweat.

His hands clenched into fists.

Then—

"S-Strong… Super strong!"

He forced a thumbs-up, his face twitching into what he hoped was a convincing smile.

Sakiya beamed.

"As expected! You really get it!"

Sasuke exhaled shakily.

Beside him, Itachi watched in silence.

His normally unreadable face twitched just slightly.

His brother… was broken.

And at that moment, not a single soul was concerned about Pain's fate.

Because after a hit like that…

There was no way he was getting back up.
