Jihoon found himself idly drumming his fingers against the worn slat of the bench, his gaze distant.
There wasn't much else to do, and everything around them felt suspended in a kind of hush, as if even time had taken a breath.
The only indicator that the day was moving forward at all came from the sun, now sinking lower into the horizon.
Beside him, Ryul shifted in his seat, leaning forward with his elbows resting on his knees and his hands loosely clasped between them.
"Sorry about earlier. I didn't know Taeoh would show up here."
It was something he'd clearly meant to say for a while, but hadn't found the right moment until now.
"It's alright… things can happen." Jihoon replied with a blinked.
It wasn't anyone's fault that they'd ended up crossing paths. People were free to exist in the same space. And maybe, Jihoon thought, he couldn't keep letting himself be intimidated every time that guy was near.
