Chapter 104 - Chapter 104 : Luffy That Motorcycle Is So Handsome

Morning Training and Friendly Battles

Marie and Robin were new to the ship, so Law first taught them breathing exercises to help them adjust to this special technique. Proper breathing was especially important during training as it helped strengthen their physical abilities.

Initially, Law was unsure whether to include them in such intense morning exercises, but before he could even ask, they volunteered to join.

It seemed they were eager to integrate into the crew!

Even Marie, who typically carried herself with an elegant maturity, approached the training with enthusiasm, which relieved Law greatly.

It was worthwhile bringing them aboard. Training together and eventually fighting side by side would strengthen their bonds and build trust among crewmates.

Moreover, the exercise would benefit them personally.

The stronger they became, the more composed they would remain when facing powerful enemies in the future, reducing their need for protection from others.

The Heart Pirates were awakened by the commotion outside. When they got up and saw what was happening, they were startled.

Law became irritated and complained that Law hadn't called them for training.

Law responded politely and joined them for practice.

The morning exercise wasn't long, but under the devil-like instruction, even Luffy lay exhausted on the ground—evidence of the training's high intensity. Luffy's situation was different, however, as he wore a Sea Prism Stone bracelet.

With so many Devil Fruit users among the Straw Hats, Law didn't dare let the others wear such bracelets since they wouldn't be able to handle them.

After breakfast came optional training.

Law would focus on one person at a time, while others could train independently if they wished. The rest were free to do as they pleased. Outside of training time, everyone had freedom, which Law respected completely.

At this time, the two swordsmen Law and Zoro were arranged to duel.

Zoro was eager to see Law in action, intrigued by the Kikoku's greater length compared to other swords. He had already noted Law's impressive swordsmanship.

Although Law hadn't yet reached the realm of a true swordsman, this didn't diminish Zoro's anticipation for their match.

Zoro employed his One-Sword Style, Two-Sword Style, and Three-Sword Style in succession, forcing Law to use his unique techniques that he normally kept hidden.

What surprised Zoro was that despite Law's swordsmanship not being at the highest level, his technique was exceptional. Law withstood numerous attacks while simultaneously honing his Armament Haki during the battle.

"Hmph, looks like I've found a worthy opponent. I won't hold back!" Zoro exclaimed excitedly.

"Zoro's in control—he's truly amazing!"

Law was secretly impressed, not expecting Zoro to be so powerful.

However, he also remembered that Zoro had faced formidable enemies like Mihawk "Hawk-Eyes" and Ryuma the "King of Swords." Although Zoro hadn't emerged victorious in those encounters, he had grown stronger with each battle.

As expected of someone aiming to become the world's greatest swordsman!

The outcome surprised no one—Law lost to Zoro.

Nevertheless, Law was satisfied with the training. He had exchanged nearly a thousand moves with Zoro, gaining significant experience.

Bepo, Jean Bart, and Penguin, however, found it difficult to accept that their powerful captain couldn't defeat a "mere" swordsman of the Straw Hats. Though they knew the Straw Hats were strong, they hadn't expected such a gap.

So Bepo proposed a match against Chopper.

Law was naturally willing to host this match, but first pulled Chopper aside to explain a few points.

His explanation was simple: he wanted Chopper to learn Bepo's martial arts. In the two years after Marineford, Chopper would develop Kung Fu Point to complement his Rumble Ball transformations, and now he was simply getting an early introduction to martial arts.

As for winning or losing, that was inconsequential.

"Yah! Hyah!"

Bepo assumed a martial arts stance and began attacking Chopper aggressively.

The polar bear mink was clearly picking on someone he perceived as weaker—he knew Chopper wasn't particularly strong, which is why he had challenged him rather than someone like Luffy, whom Bepo wouldn't dare even look at ten times.

Chopper kept dodging Bepo's martial arts attacks. After consuming a Rumble Ball, he cycled through his various forms, managing to fight Bepo on relatively even terms. Following Law's instructions, Chopper tried to memorize Bepo's martial arts moves, learning them through observation.

The final result came when Chopper's Rumble Ball effects wore off, and he lost.

Chopper's weakness was obvious—he relied too heavily on the Rumble Ball and lost most of his fighting capability once its effects expired.

Law needed to find a way to address this weakness, though he recognized the limitations of Chopper's Human-Human Fruit. It would be ideal if Chopper had a mythical Zoan type like Sengoku's Buddha model. Training Chopper wouldn't be easy.

At this point, Law approached.

"Law, could you teach Bepo the Marines' Six Powers techniques?"

"Huh? You want him to learn Rokushiki? Wouldn't you rather have them learn Haki?"

Though Law's tone was questioning, his expression remained calm, as if he had anticipated this request.

Law spoke frankly: "Currently, with Bepo's strength level, awakening Haki would be very difficult. Rather than waste time on that, it's better for him to learn the Six Powers and become stronger. At worst, I can teach him Haki myself in the future."

Law nodded: "That's reasonable, but I only promised to teach you Haki—the Six Powers techniques aren't part of our agreement."

"What does Law want in exchange?"

"It's simple—just have Bepo exchange medical knowledge with Chopper."

Law had expected some terrible condition but was relieved when he heard the modest request. He replied: "Regarding medical skills, I've already been sharing knowledge with the reindeer doctor!"

Chopper interjected: "Mr. Law, Law's medical knowledge is excellent, and I've learned so much!"

Law responded modestly: "You're too kind. Your medical expertise is also impressive, and I've benefited greatly as well."

"You bastard! Even if you compliment me, it won't make me happy! Also, I'm not a tanuki, I'm a reindeer!" Chopper exclaimed while wiggling happily, contradicting his own words.

Law watched Chopper's shy dance with a bewildered expression.

He really didn't know how to handle the Straw Hats. They were like a whirlpool, threatening to pull him in and destroy the cool, composed image he had always maintained.

At that moment, the roar of a motorcycle engine broke through the air.

Everyone turned toward the sound to see a cloud of dust followed by a sleek motorcycle racing toward them.

"Oh! It's Smoker's bike! That motorcycle is so cool. I snatched it once before but forgot it in Loguetown. What a shame!" Luffy exclaimed, his eyes sparkling.

Usopp and Chopper stared with equal fascination, clearly enthralled by the vehicle.

Soon, the motorcycle arrived, and Smoker and Tashigi dismounted. Tashigi appeared somewhat reserved, as if it were their first meeting.

Zoro glanced at Tashigi with surprise but said nothing.

"Wow! Tashigi-chan is back!"

Sanji immediately glided toward Tashigi like a wave. "Ah, dear Tashigi-chan, it's been too long! You look a bit tired, but fear not—your knight Sanji will prepare nutritious dishes for you!"
