On a night when the sky sparkled with stars, a sudden earthquake struck—one so powerful that every living creature on Earth could feel it.
But this was no ordinary earthquake. It tore open the ground and created a massive chasm the size of a city. The impact shook every corner of the world.
News spread like wildfire, and fear quickly settled into people's hearts.
The chasm was pitch black. No one could see what lay inside.
It radiated a terrifying aura—one that sent chills deep into the soul.
From its depths, strange sounds echoed… horrifying noises like the roars of bloodthirsty beasts desperate to kill and devour.
Still, humans are naturally curious. They couldn't ignore such a phenomenon. They had to explore it—to understand what secrets it held.
So, specialized military exploration units were formed.
These units trained selected individuals under brutal conditions, preparing them to survive extreme changes and unknown dangers. The training was even harsher than regular military programs and lasted an entire year.
Then, these elite teams were sent into the Abyss in organized expeditions to gather as much information as possible.
However, most teams never returned. The few that did came back suffering from strange illnesses and deadly toxins, which eventually took their lives.
Only 20% survived, while 80% met their end inside the chasm.
But those few survivors… they changed everything.
They came back transformed—physically superior to normal humans in every way.
They were stronger, faster, more resilient, with reflexes far beyond human limits. They became something else… something superhuman.
Even more astonishing, a small number of them awakened powers that defied the laws of nature—abilities beyond the physical realm.
Thanks to these survivors, humanity was able to uncover a fraction of what lay inside the Abyss: rare resources, and strange lifeforms—most of which were animated statues, moving on their own.
And so, mankind gave the chasm a name: The Abyss.

[One Hundred Years Later]
In that time, humanity managed to reach and explore three distinct layers of the Abyss.
Strangely, each floor resembled the next. The monsters remained the same: demonic statues holding swords in both hands.
The only difference lay in the environments.
The first floor was a rocky terrain filled with jagged mountains.
The second was a realm of fire, flowing with lava and burning magma.
The third was the strangest of all—complete darkness, where sight was impossible.
There were no known bosses on the first or second floors.
As for the third floor, no one had ever made it far enough to discover where the boss might be.
To pass between the floors, explorers had to go through a narrow cave that connected one level to the next.
And so, time went on… until a day came that shook the world once more.
Out of nowhere, a second earthquake struck. A terrifying omen.
But unlike before, this one didn't open a new Abyss.
Instead, it transformed the existing one—leaving the entire world stunned by its beauty.
People whispered in awe, "What is this beauty? My God… Heaven has descended from the sky."
That once-black pit—where no light could reach—had become a majestic forest.
Colorful plants of all shapes and sizes covered the Abyss, creating a view so mesmerizing that no eye could look away.
This miracle changed everything.
Two major organizations were formed in response.
The first was The Explorers, led by Arisu.
This group consisted of scientists and experts who studied the Abyss—its changing nature, the strange monsters, and the rare resources.
However, they had no fighters.
And so, the second organization was created: The Guardians, led by Archie.
This group was filled with powerful individuals—some were survivors of the Abyss, and others were highly trained warriors.
They were ranked based on their discovered skills and the strength of the powers they controlled.
The ranking system was as follows:
Rank E: Regular people with no experience in the Abyss, but trained in basic survival and combat.
Rank D: Soldiers with battlefield experience but no knowledge of the Abyss.
Rank C: Fighters with moderate skills and minor experience inside the Abyss.
Rank B: Survivors of the Abyss who developed physical abilities twice as strong as an ordinary athlete.
Rank A: Survivors with physical abilities four times stronger than an athlete.
Rank S: Known as the Superhumans, these were the strongest survivors, They possess unique abilities that set them apart from other Ranks . Only three individuals held this rank, making them the elite of the Guardians.
And so, humanity stood at the edge of a new era, facing the mysteries of the Abyss like never before…
